  • "Well what can I say!"

!!! The Haven is indeed the peaceful ,relaxing retreat that we hoped it would be. On approach we were amazed to see the lovely holiday home with huge driveway, surrounded by trees and birds of prey flying above. On entry we were greeted by beautiful green colours, very modern and super comfortable. The table was all set and as we took our mini dvd player my daughter and I were very impressed with the built in HDMI cable. Lots of comfy cushions, carpet and super soft rugs. The kitchen had really good quality equipment ,tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid and to much more to list. The highlight for me was the washer drier and returning home with no washing at all. The bedrooms are lovely and so comfy both with blackout blinds and curtains. I've never slept so well on holiday and this also had a lot to do with how peacefull this place is. The decking from the front ,around the side to the back. Front and back decking had the sunlight until late. The back is lovely with the trees and river running and I have to admit to falling asleep out there many a times over our 6 night stay. Jackie and Steven the owners were superb. We had a text message in the morning on our arrival day saying we were welcome to arrive early and a lovely welcome and enjoy your stay. On arrival we also decided we would like to extend our stay and Jackie was so helpful when it came to arranging this. On the day we left we also had a text thanking us for our stay and to have a safe journey home. The Haven is a beautiful place to stay within easy access of the West Coast. An easy drive to busier towns Camarthen and Aberyswyth. New Quay is a must only a few minutes down the road.Sit on the harbour arm and ( like us ) we got to see dolphins jumping in the water.Truly breath taking and if your going to grab Fish n Chips,New Quay is the place...just yummy! We will most definitely be returning for some much needed reset time. Thankyou again for such an amazing stay. The Haven is now tucked away safely in our hearts : ))

Thankyou for such an amazing review which was so descriptive. So glad you had such a brilliant holiday. Property Owner

  • "Our second stay at Woodland Lodge Retreat which is a perfect site for us in terms of location and how peaceful it is."

Our first stay at The Haven. Perhaps I shouldn't be writing this as it may not be available for our next visit it is so good! Everything was first class, the location within the park is great, the host is very responsive, the lodge is spotlessly clean, well maintained and very well equipped. A very comfortable 'home away from home' for a very reasonable price. Thank you Jackie.

A wonderful review. Happy to know this couple had such a lovely time for their special anniversary and really enjoyed our lodge and the surrounding area. Property Owner

  • "Lovely clean, welcoming, comfortable Lodge with everything needed, good communication for access."

Front veranda next to road, but option of back veranda with seating, listening to nothing else other than birds and babbling brook, a very quiet site.

Great to have such positive feedback and happy holidaymakers. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful property."

Some things I really appreciated about it: lovely bath towels, including face cloths! The bathroom had a hand towel, plus hand wash & moisturiser provided. There were toilet rolls, cleaning materials, tin foil, washing up liquid & sponge, hand wash in kitchen too. A hairdryer is provided (not mentioned in listing, as far as I could see, so I took my own). There is a washing machine, plenty of tableware, a small fan (we were there in a heatwave, & the van was 40°, but hubby & I brought our own pedestal fans, thankfully). There's salt & pepper in the cupboard, plus tea/coffee/sugar provided, and a coffee machine & pods. The decking at the back is lovely, with the trees and tinkling sound of the brook, and the parasol - patio furniture were nice. Just a couple of tiny negatives: the salad drawer in the fridge wasn't very clean, and there was no hand towel in the kitchen (but there was a tea towel). As I say, TINY negatives, and on the whole it was amazing. I wish these vans had more room in the bedroom for the person sleeping nearest the window, but that's just the design. The owners of this van have made the furnishings, etc, very attractive. Would recommend staying in The Haven!

Amazing review so in depth and thoughtful. Thankyou for taking the time to do this. So glad you appreciated the little extras that helped to make your holiday so special at The Haven. Property Owner
