  • "Excellent lodge."

Very clean, comfortable and cosy. Owners thought of everything. Kitchen well stocked, including dishwasher tablets. Very peaceful. We visited October and the weather was kind to use, allowing us to sit on the veranda on occasions. Lots of outdoor furniture, which would get alot of us in the summer. This was our first time in a lodge and won't be our last. Highly recommend this property. Thank to all the staff, those we met very friendly.

  • "This is the best place we have ever stayed in by far."

Beautifully appointed Lodge and very well equipped. The verandah and furniture was amazing, shame we had so much rain and unable to sit out on it much. We would recommend this lodge highly. The park is lovely and peaceful.

Thank you for your wonderful review and very kind words, it's very much appreciated. Hopefully if you visit again we get some better weather for you and you can enjoy the outside seating more fully. Property Owner

The caravan was incredibly comfortable and well set out, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was beautiful, offering serene views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. It was the ideal place to escape from the busyness of daily life. We highly recommend The Ridgeway for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway in a stunning setting.

  • "Property was lovely and clean and included a lot of essentials even for the dog."

The beds were comfy with lovely plump pillows. The site was really quiet and peaceful with a lot of wildlife. Bar was good but expected a little more in the shop.

Thank you so much for your great review, we're pleased you found the essentials useful, and also for your dog (we know from experience what it feels like to have forgotten something for ours, so we try to leave some bits there for our guests just in-case!) Our cleaners are great and I try to let them know that they keep getting us such positive feedback. As for the wildlife; we're not sure if the rabbits were back out yet as well, but they sometimes like to wake people up by hopping along the decking, so I hope they didn't disturb you :-) Property Owner

  • "The property is well presented."

There is a large veranda which is pleasant to sit on. The kitchen is well resourced. There was a small carton of milk, some Welsh cakes and two toilet rolls provided for our arrival. Dogs are welcome on the site. The site has a dog shop and a new doggie shower/ wash facility which is very helpful. One of the local beaches, Cei Bach, is dog friendly and many of the cafes & shops in the area also welcome dogs. There is plenty of parking. The property is set in an old holiday park which is being renovated. Older chalets are being replaced with newer lodges like The Ridgeway. As such, there was extensive building works taking place during our stay. This included a large concrete mixer driving past the lodge to pour concrete onto empty plots, work people digging all day, and gravel being continually moved across the site past the lodge. It was, on occasions, quite noisy. There was an unpleasant smell of sewage for three days. It stopped after the site’s maintenance team spent a day drilling and digging in an area close to the property. The unlimited WiFi was extremely intermittent. There was generally no connection at all after around 4.00pm. We did contact the owners about this. It was frustrating because we needed to be able to work and could not. Other holiday makers we spoke to did not have the same problem. The television also did not initially work. Somehow it was not tuned in. Eventually we did manage to get live tv after retuning the set.

Thank you very much for your positive scores, comments, and constructive feedback, it's all taken on board and appreciated. As such, we are now in the process of trialing a move away from the existing mobile broadband provider and onto a new one, as I suggested that I may need to do in our communication - when we purchased the property we were aware that we would need to rely on our own mobile broadband, so we spoke to many people on the park and in the area who advised what appeared to be the most consistent network at the time. This is the first negative point that we've received, but we are going to test another provider as soon as possible. We did raise the issue to the current network as soon as you got in contact, who have responded by saying that it is a semi-rural and coastal location, so as-such they felt their signal strengths were within their contracted terms. We're very sorry that this change we will be looking to undertake will not help yourselves, but we are hopeful of avoiding any issues in the future. We're delighted that you found the milk, toilet rolls, and Welsh cakes a helpful touch. Even though it's a self catering lodge we've understood that it's nice to be able to have a cup of tea on arrival at least, while full shopping can be delivered to the park by the major food stores. You are correct that the park are in the latter stages of their groundworks to replace the last of the older accommodation, and it's due for completion within days now. We're sorry if the noise was higher during your stay. There were also improvements being made to the pathways a few metres away from the lodge (this was the groundworks team you have mentioned). And, after checking with the park manager, I'm more than happy to confirm that there has been no reported issues with any sewage near to the lodge. Again, we thank you for your feedback and overall high scores, and are hoping to do better with the internet next time. Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful lodge in a lovely peaceful location."

Well equipped kitchen, linen and towels of a high quality and the seating on the decking was super! Mornings were spent drinking tea on the rocking chairs and watching the red kites and buzzards. Really close to New Quay with its boat trips, bars and restaurants - a great base to explore the area. We had the most lovely relaxing time, thank you (and thank you for the welsh cakes and milk!)

Thank you very much for an amazing review. The rocking chairs are also a favourite of ours, just watching and listening to the wildlife. We love that you enjoyed the Welsh Cakes, they were a suggestion from the lady who does all of our turnovers. She's fantastic, and also comes up with great ideas for guests. We're very grateful for you taking the time to leave such positive feedback, and most of all are delighted that it sounds like you had a lovely stay. Property Owner

The lodge is clean and equipped with everything you need for your stay. It's close to amenities, beaches and plenty of places to visit. We loved the little extras that was left to welcome guests to the lodge (to many to list) but they made you feel like the owners had welcomed you personally. We will visit again and It's dog friendly

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, we are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We love the area ourselves, so we're delighted that it sounds like you got to explore and enjoy it as well. Would be great to see you as guests again in the future. Property Owner
