  • "We arrived to find the property in perfect order."

Very clean and welcoming with a great offer of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and Welsh cakes along with a beautiful bottle of wine. Facilities were amazing and we had full and private use of the hot tub outside. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and we already look forward to returning in the future. For the 2 of us it was absolutely perfect.

It was so thoughtful to have the welcome tray and milk at the accommodation on arrival. I loved the birds right outside the window and enjoyed the hot tub. Having the road backing up to the garden wasn't a problem at all, even with a rally starting just up the road. Highly recommended for any car fanatics. Beautiful countryside and a choice of beaches only 20/30 min drive away was definitely a bonus. Perfect hideaway to recharge. Thank you again for a great break.

Bed was very comfortable and so cosy. Byron was very friendly and helpful and nice to have a chat with. We didn’t get round to using the hot tub although did intend to but we did so much exploring every day, we found we were just too exhausted once we got back to the cabin. Very clean, lovely area and fabulous views and so peaceful. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return. Thank you and for the welcome touches of milk, Welsh cakes, wine and doggie treats

The place and location were fabulous, the tranquillity was amazing, we spent hours watching the red tail kites soar over the fields, and the sound of the rushing stream below was very relaxing, inside everything was in order and catered for, it even has Aircon which is a godsend on the warm nights trying to sleep, the owners even provided maps of local walks with varying times and difficulty, we would heartly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying around that area

We had a lovely few days relaxing and recharging along with our dog. Enough room for two people to stay in comfortably with an enclosed garden for the dog to run round in while we enjoyed the hot tub. There was a nice welcome basket waiting for us when we arrived and Byron the owner popped round every morning to check the hot tub was ok. If you fancy a break away from it all, I would strongly recommend staying here. We'll definitely be back!

  • "The property is set in beautiful surroundings but unfortunately it did not stop raining."

As I was on my own I found it very isolated as I was hoping for a local pub near by to meet the locals. The pub is further than 4 miles in the car and the local attractions such as the waterfalls and railway were all closed. Unfortunately I would not recommend this to a person on their own as I left 3 days early due to it being so remote with little to do apart from walks in the pouring rain.

The only thing that was disappointing was the weather! We would have liked to have been in the hot tub more but the weather wasn’t great, however we did manage to get in there on the last night. Would highly recommend this place for others to stay and have a nice relaxing couple of days away. Thank you very much.

Once we worked out how to use the thermostat effectively the temperature was always perfect for our comfort. The only stand out negative point is when it rains moderately heavy the noise on the roof is amplified to a volume that we found impossible to sleep through on at least one night until it had stopped.

Beautiful views and amazing hot tub! Room was small as advertised, but very clean and the bed was so comfy. The kitchen area had 2 rings for cooking, as well as a microwave, toaster and kettle. We were provided 2 small sauce pans and an egg pan. However, no frying pan. This is the only thing we feel could have been improved as it meant we had limited cooking options. It's exactly how it is seen on photos and description... Only better!! Stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday and honestly couldn't of asked for anything better! Perfect place to escape the hustle of everyday life, so peaceful and private!Cabin was so cozy and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in! There wasn't anything that hadn't been thought of to ensure the perfect stay and the air con was an absolute bonus! Hot tub was amazing, free to use as much we liked, owners came each morning (without disturbing us) and checked on chemical levels etc to ensure we got full use of it! On our first morning our hot water wasn't working (had been the night before) we phoned Byron and he came round straight away; they only live up the road! He had replaced the gas bottle that morning on his check up and sometimes it just needs a little encouragement, he sorted it right away for us and ensured we had everything we needed! Honestly couldnt of asked to of stayed in a better place or with better hosts! Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will be visiting again soon!

Bottle of wine and some Welsh tea on arrival was very welcomed. The only thing I would say, which is very minor, is the door of the freezer in the little fridge wouldn't close properly, so items didn't stay frozen, but I'm sure this could be easily fixed, replaced. About the location

PONTRHYDFENDIGAID

Tregaron 5.5 miles; Devil’s Bridge 9 miles; Aberystwyth 16 miles.

Pontrhydfendigaid is a small village in Mid Wales between Devil’s Bridge and Tregaron. The village lies on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains in beautiful countryside. It sits on the River Teifi and his home to a local shop and two nearby pubs, the Red Lion and the Black Lion. Devil's Bridge has been a tourist attraction for centuries and was celebrated by author George Borrow who wrote Wild Wales in 1854. This famous bridge spans the Mynach, a tributary of the River Rheidol and is unique as it is actually three bridges in one, the original built around 1100, the second above this in 1753 and the third in 1903. The bridge is at a point where the River Mynach drops 90 metres (300 ft) in 5 steps down a steep and narrow ravine before it meets the River Rheidol. The set of stone steps leading down to the lowest bridge at the waterfall are known as Jacob's Ladder. The attraction offers viewing points and after the steep walk there is a hotel and cafe for refreshments. This whole area boasts stunning scenery and wildlife and is renowned for walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching as well as trips to the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline with its wild cliffs and sandy beaches.
