  • "The patio was dangerous."

Needs a good jet wash. Could only use the hottub once in daylight because of the slippery patio. One of us slipped over once and few of us had near misses in falling. Didn’t risk going in the night as the patio was lethal. The house itself was lovely and clean to be fair. Crockery hit and miss … seen as it catered for 5 only 4 wine glasses. Wouldn’t recommend this property on the basis it advertises hot tub and really it’s not safe to use because of the patio being soo slippery. The property inside was lovely and clean and spacious and beds were comfortable.

Thank you for your feedback. It has been noted that you found the patio slippery and this was mostly due to that time of year with falling leaves etc. There are a number of outside lights so lighting at night is more than adequate. We are sorry that there were only 4 wine glasses and not 5 and this has been addressed. Glad you were pleased with the actual property. Property Owner

  • "My wife and I spent an enjoyable week at Tynnadol Bungalow at the end of September 2023."

The bungalow is in idyllic and peaceful countryside with stunning views. The property is well appointed with plenty of appliances, utensils and tableware. However, we found the settee in the sitting room uncomfortable, and were surprised to find that the deep bath has no handrails or anti-slip surface/mat. Nevertheless we had a relaxing time at Tynnadol Bungalow and would certainly hope to visit again in the future.

  • "Comfortable stay once some problems had been ironed out."

Wi fi was non -existent which is now sorted out. Would advise anyone to take a rubber bath mat as the bath only has held hand shower and anyone with difficulties like myself would find it hard to use. Very tranquil atmosphere and birds were lovely to look at including friendly grouse who came and stared at us through the dining room door which proved hilarious. Owners very helpful, kitchen well equipped and will be booking again later in year.

Thank you for your lovely comments and glad you enjoyed your stay. With regard to the Wi fi the hub had a fault and as soon as we were notified from the guests the engineer came and the problem was immediately resolved. Hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

Plenty of lovely places to visit not to far way. We were quite happy to sit in the garden with the sun shining or relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine.Hot tub is cleaned every morning by the lovely friendly owner. The inside of the property is very clean and cosy, the double bed in the front bedroom is so comfortable and cosy, I have never slept so well. There is a good community shop just a short distance away if you don't want to venture far and they stock all the main essentials amongst lots of other lovely local produce at a fair price. The bacon is the best we have ever had from anywhere. The locals are so pleasant and friendly had a lovely chat with the farmer who was tending to the sheep who were regular visitors to the field next to us.The red kites were a joy to watch. We had the most wonderful and relaxing week did not want to leave. We will definitely back again soon. Thanks to sykes cottages also for their great correspondence Throughout!!

Sitting in the hot tub with the spectacular views was most defanitly the biggest highlight. The cottage itself was extremely well kitted out the kitchen ect. Noticed there were some comments about no stand up shower. But was absolutely fine have a sit down shower. As a small price to pay for this lovely gem of a place. We tend to only go places the once. To try different places. But will deffo be making an exception on returning to this place because was such a great place and the surroundings where all spot on

  • "The bungalow is lovely."

its fairly isolated, up a little track past a farm, although the shepherds hut which is also available to rent, is just over the garden hedge, this was unoccupied on our visit, so our privacy wasn't disturbed. The views sre great, and its very peaceful. The owner/manager popped by with additional bedding and was polite and friendly. There is pretty much everything you need here. A well equiped kitchen - with probably a few too many oven/serving dishes in the cupboards! Comfortable dining area with double doors out to the garden and double doors into the lounge. Its a cosy lounge with a small TV and lovely log burner, the back of the settee tilts for comfort (I'm writing this because at first when it dropped down we thought we'd broken it) The bed in the double is quite soft and the other mattresses in the family room sag a little, and the pillows are quite firm. I think several people mentioned the lack of shower. The handheld shower head and hose in the bath is fine, my husband ings nearly 6ft and was able to shower and wash his hair without any problems. We loved the hot tub, which was very clean warm and had a couple of steps to get into it. However the cover is difficult to get off as the mechanism to lift it was broken and not attached. If you have back problems this will be a challenge unless it's repaired. There are a lot of guide books(!) and info about places to visit, some include South Wales and further afield. Locally we enjoyed the Kite feeding station, Elan valley reservoirs, and a walk around Break your neck waterfall (yes, that's what its called!) There's also a nature reserve not far and Rhayader is pleasant to visit. The small community shop just 2 minutes down the road has lots of yummy cakes, reasonable prices logs, those bits and bobs you need and friendly staff.
