  • "A beautiful cottage with every amenity and so tastefully decorated."

We were unable to accept owners cakes as my husband has a gluten intolerance but Eleri kindly provided a range of gluten free products in their place. The position of the cottage was perfect, peaceful with walks from the door to the mountains and so close to the glorious beaches. would definitely recommend.

  • "A great location for getting out and about but equally good if you just want to sit and relax, the garden is quite private for sitting out, either at the front or at the side under the tree."

The waterfalls are very close, within walking distance through the campsite and a good way to see the views and get some fresh air.

  • "What a wonderful cottage!"

Full of character but also had enough modern touches to make our stay very comfortable. Location was perfect for the waterfall walk, mountain hikes and trips to the beautiful local beaches.

  • "Wonderful location clean and comfortable."

Good base to get out and about. Owners friendly and helpful. Homemade cakes on arrival nice touch. Victoria Inn was in our opinion the best place to eat locally. Waterfalls and woodland walk on the doorstep worth a visit. We also went to Shell Island, Harlech Castle , town and beach, Betws y Coed, Llanberis and climbed Snowdon, Barmouth and Portmerium.(woodland walk and beach were nice, the village was disappointing)

  • "Absolutely loved the cottage and setting, the decor was beautiful and the furnishings were comfy."

The garden was lovely and we spent many evenings sitting out enjoying the sunshine and using the fire pit. The feedback I would give is that having just one bathroom and no separate toilet wasn’t always sufficient for a family of 4. If you were to consider a downstairs toilet extension I’m sure this would enhance the stay. Also I know it’s a working farm and the sheep are free roaming, but there was sheep poo everywhere, a consideration to having the parking area fenced off so that the sheep couldn’t enter would help.

  • "Cefn Uchaf Cottage surpassed all expectations."

The attention to detail was very much appreciated, the table laid for dinner and the amazing home-made butterfly cakes. Cefn Uchaf is a homely cottage set in the most glorious landscape on a tiny mountain road leading to nowhere in particular. It is beautifully decorated to the highest standard and was extremely comfortable. The luxurious bedding and quality beds made for a good night’s sleep and the spacious bathroom was ample for us three girls, meeting for the first time since covid. I had chosen this cottage for our annual walking holiday as I had been keen to explore the Rhiniog mountain range which is off the beaten track. Walking through Drws Ardudwy on the first day to the sound-track of a cuckoo was a dream come true as was the walk along the Roman Steps the following day (two cars needed for that as we set off from Cwm Bychan and walked back through Drws Ardudwy into Cwm Nantcol). We stopped off to see the famous Salem chapel and painting and explored the gurgling river and waterfalls after dinner. We are keen to return and feel very blessed to have been able to stay in this wonderful part of Wales. Diolch Eleri. Thank you Eleri for a wonderful wonderful stay.
