The location was superb, overlooking the sea and so close to the railway station and not far to the bus stop either. As we were walking the Wales Coast Path, this was perfect and we didn't need to use the car. The rooms were light and airy and the whole property was exceptionally clean. Everything had been thought of - all kinds of cooking utensils etc. And there was a lovely welcome pack of food essentials waiting for us on our arrival. Can't find fault with anything. A really lovely home from home with a cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your review we are really happy you enjoyed your week at Red Ridge. We try to make it as welcoming and well equipped as we can so you relax and concentrate on enjoying your holiday. Hope we can welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner

Hi Anna thank you for your review we are pleased you enjoyed Red Ridge. We can only apologise for the slow response you had to the dishwasher issue. We didn't have any notification from the team that there was an issue until we read your review! We always try very hard to rectify any issues straight away if they arise and you didn't have the same high level of service we aim for. The property was immaculate, extremely well equipped and in a great location. It was a home from home, with books, games, condiments and arrival essentials. The owners were great at communicating with us, answered questions promptly. Really loved the added homely touch of the soap and hand lotion at every sink - it smells amazing!! Can’t wait until I can buy online. Thank you for sharing your property with us, you made my “special” birthday even more memorable. Lisa and Steve xx

Thank you for your lovely review we are so pleased you were able to celebrate a special occasion at Red Ridge and it suited your family. The hand poured soaps and lotions have been really popular with our guests and we've now added natural wax candles and reed diffusers to the range so you can take home a little bit of our special place. We are so glad you chose to come back to stay at Red Ridge, we too love the location. We are very proud of the house and the facilities making sure we update everything as and when needed with the best and most appropriate replacements like the recent mattresses from Loaf. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of room for the 7 of us (two families). We even spotted dolphins swimming in the sea and loved sitting outside on the lovely deck and took full advantage of one of the best hot tubs we’ve used on a holiday. We did have a small issue with the heating system which was resolved quickly by the owners by a quick friendly phone call. We will definitely return and recommend.

The property has everything you need. Lovely to have the hot tub and sit back and watch the sea. Lots of nice walks and places to visit are a short drive (Harlech Castle, waterfalls, Barmouth, Shell Island, Portmerion, Portmadog). The beach by Harlech Castle is beautiful and well worth a visit. Small train station just down the road too so easy to get about if you don’t want to take the car. Couple of pubs about a 5 minute drive away and food was good (Victoria Inn was lovely). Would definitely recommend if you are wanting a relaxing and quiet week away. Thank you we absolutely loved your property and it was lovely reading the history behind it. The only thing that would be nice would be to have some lighting outside at night so you could see the views but otherwise everything was perfect!

Every time I open the front door and look through to the sea view I feel the same way! It sounds like you explored lots of the beautiful local area. We've listened to your idea about the garden and new lights are being planned so you can see it after dark, great idea! We hope to welcome you back again. Property Owner

So pleased that you enjoyed the spectacular setting we are lucky enough to have at Red Ridge. Our family links to Red Ridge go back to the 1950's as you read about in the history. We've passed your comments on to the housekeepers and they have assured us that they will check that extra bin bags are always where they ought to be and we've replaced some of the crockery to make sure it is of the high standard we always aim to achieve. • "A perfect little break over the Christmas period!"

After spending what felt like weeks researching properties to take our Christmas break, we landed on this one as it 'popped' out of the listings for us. The cottage surpassed all our expectations, it was a truly relaxing break and the property itself is outstanding. The view across the sea and the bay are breathtaking. The owners are very lucky to own this little gem and we truly appreciate you allowing us to take time away for a short while to fully wind down. There are too many good points to write about, but rest assured if you are debating booking this, don't and just book! The property has been built/renovated to an extremely high standard with oak flooring (and underfloor heating throughout downstairs), large double ovens, a large American fridge freezer with ice dispenser, a great little snug to help the kids to disappear for an hour or so, two showers, a large roll top bath and a seating area upstairs to help soak in the views. The hosts have looked at the smallest of detail and everything you need is catered for (apart from your weekly shop), from a bottle of Prosecco (which we didn't drink as we are not drinkers), a fully stocked tea and coffee station, logs waiting to pop on the burner and extremely comfortable beds ready for you to jump into! Everything in the cottage is tagged so you know exactly each cupboard contains - really useful! The only suggestion I would have is that the garden area is not very well lit - it would be lovely to look out over the garden at night but it's pitch black once the sun sets. We have been back for around 4 hours and have already booked again for next year! I have a feeling we will be continuing repeat guests here!

Wow! Thank you for such a fabulous review. We do try really hard to make our guests as comfortable as possible. Love the idea of lighting the garden up it's on our list of things to do for sure. . Taking on board what you said about the Prosecco we've decided to arrange a Welsh hamper for the season ahead for our guests from the fabulous Y Groser shop in Harlech. Hopefully when you return you will be able to enjoy some Welsh produce. We very much look forward to welcoming you back again Property Owner

The view out to the sea more than made up for this. We had a bit of a problem with the upstairs heating but every effort was made to rectify the problem. The owners contacted us direct to help us reboot the heating system and thereafter everything was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to recommend the property.

Thank you for taking time to leave us your review, the views from the house really are something special for sure. Apologies about the heating issue you had, the system is an air source heat pump and whilst it is very eco friendly it did create a slight hiccup for you and we were glad we could sort it out for you. • "Had a wonderful stay at Red Ridge."

This was long awaited as had to postpone from last year due to Covid restrictions. Well worth the wait as it is a fantastic property with probably the best holiday view we have ever had. We enjoyed the waves on the exceptionally windy days and the calm waters on the hot days. The hot tub was the icing on the cake for us and we made full use of this. The house has literally everything you need for a comfortable holiday and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It's a lovely walk to the beach where there is a cafe and a short drive out for restaurants and shops. Just one negative thing to mention for those holidaying in the next few weeks is that the house next door is being renovated and extended on the roof. It was a bit noisy at times from 8 am in the morning. The builders were very nice but did have a job to do. They couldn't see into the hot tub at all but they did have a bird's eye view of the patio area from their roof. They only work Monday to Friday and are gone by late afternoon so evenings were peaceful. We still managed to have a great holiday and hope to go back next year.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our house with a view. We adore the views and agree that in all of the places we have also stayed in over the years none of the views have yet beaten the one from Red Ridge. I must try and remember to add some more images onto the listing as I'm not convinced that they do it justice currently. We would love to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

The garden and view were outstanding. The hot tub was a perfect way to end the day. Small attention to detail is required. Shower upstairs was small and temperature was hard to control. The bathroom floors upstairs and down had loose floor tiles. The windows needed cleaned on the bi-fold doors.

Thank you for your review of Red Ridge we are really pleased you enjoyed the views from here they are, as you say, outstanding. We shall look into the shower with the temperature issue you have raised and the tiles. Apologies for the windows we do have a regular window cleaner but you may have been unlucky with the bad weather the week previously that might have thrown a lot more saltwater at the house than we usually expect at this time of the year. Being so close to the sea gives us the incredible views but can also occasionally cause the windows to suffer! Property Owner
