Beautiful location, so relaxing, so comfortable! Loved every minute of it!

  • "Absolutely beautiful cottage, my family and I loved our stay."

The cottage is set in such a lovely peaceful setting you really feel you’re away from the hustle and bustle; but plenty to do within a short car journey. Thank you Jayne for being available to answer any questions we had initially.

  • "We had a lovely time at Clockhouse!"

The property was immaculate, with a lovely welcome hamper and toiletries which were most appreciated. The owner was really responsive, suggesting local restaurants, providing a high chair and accommodating with checkins/outs. One slight comment that the property was extremely warm, not sure if it’s something to do with the heating or just the time of year? Regardless we had a great time and would recommend to others. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

  • "The stay and location were lovely."

The host popped by each late morning to check and top up the hot tub, she was lovely and very accommodating. Me and my group of friends loved the stay and would stay here again! I would suggest getting the “what three words” app to follow the maps to the exact point of the property without any confusion.

  • "We really enjoyed our weekend at The Clockhouse."

The property was in a secluded spot, and comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated with plenty of storage and thoughtful amenities including robes, body wash and a welcome basket containing a few essentials and treats. The owner popped in after we arrived to make sure everything was okay. We would definitely stay again should we return to the area.

  • "A lovely property."

Modern and bright. Comfortable and clean. Everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. A fantastic location for exploring the beautiful mountains of Wales. A short drive from some really spectacular views. The hosts were available to offer great recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. The hot tub added that little bit extra to unwind as the days drew to a close. Highly recommend this beautiful property.

  • "Everything was catered for!"

The host Jayne thought of everything and was most welcoming. The property itself was beautifully decorated, open, airy and spacious. The hot tub was a lovely feature. It is a perfect location for walking and tranquility. Jayne and her daughter were most forthcoming with recommendations as to what to see and do. Would highly recommend. Very likely to go back if an opportunity arises.

  • "Had an amazing week at The Clockhouse."

The beds were comfortable, the lounge-kitchen open plan allowed for us all (x5) to sit around, chat while preparing food. The hot tub was a great addition, especially after a day out. Getting in, sitting back and relaxing was a lot of fun. Jayne was always just a phone call away. She had personally come round to see how we were getting on and sharing her knowledge on the local area for places to see, visit and eat. A point worth noting when using your satnav. It will tell you have arrived ( don’t be alarmed when you can’t see it), you will need to continue to drive up the road another 150 meters or so turning right then up the road another 50 or so to turn right into your accommodation. Overall, would highly recommend. Many thanks again to Jayne.

  • "Brilliant 5 night break."

The place is practically brand new, and very well presented. Jayne has done a wonderful job with the decor and furniture. Totally enclosed and sizeable garden for dog to walk about, great hot tub, and comfy sofa/beds. Kitchen is excellent, and we never found ourselves missing anything. There is a large tarmac area in front of the cottages for parking, but our kids loved it for scooter play. Jayne also let us charge our EV with the granny charger, which we did on a very slow overnight charge just once, but the nearby tesco has a 50kw podpoint which was great, so used that a couple times. Went out every day to various locations, iron works very nice, king arthurs labyrinth very good, and much more. Local pub is closed but plenty around for good food with a short drive. Welshpool has many places to eat. Jayne comes across as a genuinely lovely person. Deffo would stay here again, but need to work out what day trips we missed!

  • "Gorgeous cottage, with everything tasteful and spotless."

The owner Jane was really friendly, welcoming and helpful, giving us some lovely tips on where to go and making sure we had everything we needed. It was a shame the village pub had recently closed, but we had 2 fantastic meals at The Raven at Welshpool. We were really lucky to have some wonderful ‘neighbours’ in the adjoining cottage too! The village itself is pretty and tranquil, with a small park for young children, and a baker who went the extra mile for us, making some mini loaves for our granddaughter who has allergies. In fact we all felt it was the friendliest village we had ever stayed in, with people treating us like friends not strangers! And the hot tub was a great hit with us all!

Plenty of parking outside of cottage. We done a new activity every day: Montgomery castle and Powis Castle and gardens - the gardens are amazing, Shrewsbury Prison and escape room, we had a grate lunch in Shrewsbury by the river. Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, Aberystwyth beach, Mount Snowdon hiking, Long mountain centre pony trekking, Mid Wales Off Road rally karting. I do recommend them all, we did enjoy the hot tub every evening ! I can say it’s what did relax us all, and the silence in the night. Really good sleep. Just down the road is a bakery and fresh milk,The kids loved the milk and they did drink it every day. (In London they don’t drink milk at all). The people in town are very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely holiday, definitely recommend !
