  • "We had a lovely stay at Hazel Lodge, the lodge was beautiful and clean and the views were amazing ."

We used the hottub everyday looking out onto the fields . The village of llangurig is only a 10 min walk away , the bluebell inn does lovely food and the staff are friendly and we all enjoyed the pool/darts room. The only down side was that there were only 3 chairs outside 3 glasses yet there were 4 of us also the worktop was so sticky for some reason and everything you put on it stuck to it and the flooring in the kitchen slides about which can be a trip hazard. Better outdoor furniture would be nice as we would have liked to eat outside. Small things that can easily be sorted . We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

Quiet location and beautiful surroundings. The lodge itself was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot-tub was an extra bonus after day trips out walking. • "Lovely lodge in a relaxing location."

Lodge was surprisingly big inside, the pictures don’t do it justice. The lodge was very clean apart from the kitchen island which seemed sticky, however understandably easy to miss. The local village was lovely, pub served great food with friendly locals making for a great atmosphere. Facilities within the lodge were great, tv and wifi easy to use. The only downfall was the hot tub was not available for us to use straight away, even with a late check in. And more information should be given earlier about the opening times of shop in the village as we had come empty handed and the shop was shut before we arrived. 15 mile drive until the next open shop.

The owner was very efficient as we struggled to find the property. However we would say the facilities weren’t very good. We weren’t provided toilet roll and dishwasher tablets but once we told the owner she dropped both off straight away. The kitchen facilities are great but could do with some sharper knives and maybe more utensils like mixing bowls and glass cups. Only other problem we found was some of the beds were uncomfortable you could feel the springs through it. Other than those small issues the place is very snug and perfect for a short get away.

  • "Absolutely loved our week here."

Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived as it seemed bigger than it looks in the photos. Couldn't fault the cleanliness. We went as a 2 but definitely think it wouldn't have felt cramped if there had of been 4. The icing on the cake was definitely the hot tub. Looking at the stunning views across the field from the hot tub, I just can't fault it. A few bits of constructive criticism though would be the bins being so close to the windows - as it was so hot we had to open the windows and lots of flys from around the bins made their way inside - so maybe move the location of the bins? To really top off the week, having a parasol over the hot tub and a fan for the inside would've helped as it was 28.5 degrees without the heating on. Small negatives aside it was an amazing week, really relaxing break that we needed!

We had two holidays cancelled in the space of a year so this was just what we needed. The lodge was amazing, had all the mod-cons that you need, dishwasher and even a washing machine if your staying longer than a few days. The views are amazing and especially from the hot tub during sunset. Listening to the lambs calling as the sun was setting just added that extra little something. We will definitely be back and this time with family. We might need more lodges though :) Would definitely recommend.
