  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ty Uchaf."

Our daughter and family joined us for the weekend which was filled with walks from the cottage, family meals and evenings in front of the fire. After they left us on Monday we went to the Co-op in Machynlleth, which is quite large and had all we needed for the rest of the week. We enjoyed a lovely day in Porthmadog, enjoying a take-out coffee sitting looking out at harbour (one of my “happy places”). The following day we went to Betws y Coed. Ty Uchaf is a beautifully restored old cottage, retaining many original features. The kitchen was well equipped and loved the range! Bedrooms were quirky and I’m assured that all beds were very comfy! All together, a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage, far away from the madding crowd - peaceful and dark, dark nights. Would love to return at some point in the future.

  • "Ty Uchaf is a lovely holiday cottage."

Spacious and traditional. The photos do not really do this house justice. Very large private garden. Beautiful views and a lovely area. We will definately return to this one if we can.

  • "We had a fantastic time time the cottage was really well equipped with everything you need only thing that’s not in the cottage is a tumble dryer that you may need during the winter."

The grounds were fantastic for my two large dogs the whole garden is fully fenced. It’s a drive a way from local beeches such as Barmouth and there’s a small bridal path just the the left of the gate. It’s peaceful and quiet and no one bothers you! To be honest the best property we ve been in so far thankyou to Sam and family.

  • "We arrived at Ty Uchaf and was really happy that it was secluded with an enclosed garden for our border collie."

.he loved sniffing around the garden. Very well equipped and comfortable house with good sofas to lounge on and plenty of reading spots to choose from with lovely views. Nice to spend time in the garden just listening to nature and watching the birds on the feeder and relaxing on the many seating areas. Was great to come back to the house after long walks in the surrounding hills and just chill . All in all had a great time and hope to be back asap.

  • "Great place,doggie heaven."

Only concern I have is the £450 house keeping bond,no mention of it on booking page ,find it set very high, you are on tenterhooks case you break a £450 eggcup.i would imagine it puts people off.
