  • "The lodge we stayed in was lovely and clean and we loved the hot tub."

The only thing which could be improved is we found the bathroom floor to be very slippy so maybe provide slip mats for in the shower and just outside. The location is lovely although a bit closer to the road than we thought but overall we loved it.

  • "Loved our stay here with our 12month old, (travel cot and high chair provided) the area is great and there are some lovely walks."

The lodge was clean and had everything we needed, we loved watching the cows and sheeps in the field below, this place would also be great for any bird watchers. The hot tub was a great way to end the day, it was just the break we needed. Can't wait to book for next year

  • "Gorgeous lodge, very well maintained and well equipped (full kitchen facilities, iron, hairdryer, hoover, dry condiments, cling film/foil, the little things that we packed to take with us as they weren't mentioned on the website)."

A lovely little hamper welcomed us to the lodge too! A perfect spot for exploring with two small 'inns' within walking distance that we thoroughly enjoyed (although no pavement). Llangeinor town is around 8-10 mins drive in one direction, Rhyader town and Gigryn Farm is 15 mins drive in the other direction. Both have a great selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. We had an issue with the front door and couldn't lock it. I contacted Rosemary and within 5 minutes Rhys was with us sorting the issue out. We were provided with keys to use the back entrance which worked perfectly for us. Couldn't fault the service. We will 100% be returning to these lodges. A perfect, restful break away, great views and good links to explore.

Clean and very comfortable beautiful scenery loved watching the cows running in the fields everyday chasing the farmers van. Two very welcoming local pubs close by. Not far from devil's Bridge and a red kite sanctuary well worth a visit. Thank you to the owner for a lovely relaxing stay

  • "Booked at the last minute for a short break away, the real draw for this lodge was the hot tub and it didn't disappoint, looking out on the fields with just cows and sheep for company!"

The lodge itself was clean, comfortable and very well kept just off the main road not too far away from the coast. I would certainly recommend this lodge to others if they were going to this area.

The lodge has far more of a wow factor in person. Great communication prior to check in, seamless key availability. The lodge was spotless. Everything we needed was too hand. Loved the fact the living and outdoor space was on one level great for me as I'm registered blind. The ensuite shower is huge. The icing on the cake has to be the hot tub on the deck . Exceptional views enjoyed with a glass of fizz . Cannot fault it. Already looking to book again.

  • "Incredible lodge with great views."

Definitely the place to book if you are looking for some peace and quiet. Lodge was beautifully presented and well maintained (hot tub is checked on by owners which was great to see). The only snag would be the cracked mirror and cracked window but no doubt the owners will already have that noted and didn’t effect our stay at all. We will back every year for sure!!

  • "We had a really great holiday even though we had to cut it short."

The lodge is really a great base with beautiful surrounding. We had everything we needed. The hot tub is amazing too. I chatted to Jo, who was very friendly and gave us some recommendations for eating out. The views are to die for too! Watching the sunset was just amazing. My only niggle (and it may be a personal one) would be the beds. I really think the mattresses need replacing. You can feel all the springs and its just so uncomfortable. Other than that I would completely recommend the lodge to all.

  • "We were told on the day of arrival that there was a crack in the mirror of the second bedroom."

This was a full length crack in the wardrobe door. We were not told that there was a Crack pane of glass in the windows. There was loose trime on the floor with the patio doors. We had problem in closing the patio doors and we were to use the front door. The big patio doors were one of the main attraction of the property. The work surfaces were so sticky that when we put a road atlas on the surface it tore when we tried to pick it up. everything need to be pulled of the work surface. We were told that the Doors need a visit from the lodge installers but it would not be during our stay. We were told that the owner would come and see us on arrival, that never happened. I think all the faults are long standing and have not been adressed.
