  • "We had a lovely holiday at Crogal Farmhouse."

It is situated amongst beautiful scenery, near to the coastal path, so great for walkers, but also only a short drive down to New Quay beach and it's amenities. There is a lovely view of the sea and coast from the very comfortable conservatory. There is a large family kitchen which is very well equipped, and all the rooms are attractively presented. Our grandchildren loved seeing the horses grazing in the fields and enjoyed many other activities which were available, including swimming in the sea (In October!)

  • "The farmhouse was amazing!"

It was comfy, clean and very cosy. The view from the farmhouse and the outside seating area was incredible and the access to the coastal path was great.Fay was a great host and shared some great information about the local area. We had a fantastic stay at Crogal - it was perfect!

  • "We had a lovely stay, this part of the country is like home for us, the house is lovely has everything you need, the only down point and it’s a niggle really, there was no welcome package, things like a pint of milk or bread/butter Ect With every place we have stayed we always had a welcome pack, if we had not stopped on the way well you get the point."

Apart from that it was beautiful

  • "Our holiday was perfect."

The cottage was just as we imagined from the pictures; spacious, comfortable, tastefully furnished and exceeded our expectations with its stunning views across the lush countryside towards the sea. We could wake up to the views and be in the moment, especially enjoying the warmth of the conservatory enjoying the peace and changing colours of the sea. Magnificent. My mother, having reduced mobility appreciated the space in the cottage. The information book had some excellent details on walks from neighbouring coastal villages never more than 30/40 mins drive away with stunning coastal walks including wheeler friendly access. Fay also gave us some useful car parking tips. The sea was also surprisingly warm to swim in, which was a bonus for me. The wild life along the coastal path was abundant in bird life and a myriad of colourful flora. So peaceful too; with the comforting sound of the sea. The coastal path from the cottage was my favourite; if you go left past the private coves you hardly see a soul. I met one person, who claimed she was a druid in the woods. Always time when walking for that unexpected moment. Was quite surreal. Appreciated the tranquility and beauty of the nature around us. My mum even surpassed herself with her walking sticks. Furthermore, we had a wicked cream tea with scones and Welsh cakes in the coracle village near Newcastle Emlyn. A note to Fay, the friendly owner, on our last day when clearing up, we spotted an iron in the corner cupboard next to the sink in the kitchen. Just wanted to assure her that there is an iron in the house. I would like to return again one day, it’s a long way from Slovakia though. My husband was born in Wales and his father has written quite a few books on Wales; the latest book is: ‘ For Britain See Wales’ by Joe England. A very interesting and informative book.

  • "Excellent cottage in a great location."

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was really good and the beds were comfortable. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the view down to the sea. The nearest pub was about 10 min walk and the coastal path about 15 mins. We saw dolphins and seal in the bay. New Quay had lots of pubs and shops but it was great to be a short distance out of the village and enjoy the peace a quiet.

  • "Reserved this charming cottage for our family Easter getaway."

Its stunning seaside setting offered captivating ocean vistas. The cottage itself was generously sized and impeccably maintained. Evenings were spent cosily gathered around the crackling log burner in the living room. The well-equipped kitchen facilitated delightful meals enjoyed at the dining table. The indulgent power shower was a welcome luxury after our beach outings. We relished leisurely family strolls along the scenic coastal path, easily accessible through a nearby field. Under the vast night sky, we marvelled at the breath-taking spectacle of stars. Fay, the proprietor, warmly greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. As an added treat, the children had the opportunity to pet Fay's horses and frolic with her dog, Wolfie. Fay was readily available to assist us whenever necessary throughout our 7-night stay. Our time here has etched unforgettable memories of a wonderful family holiday, ensuring that we'll be returning in the future.

Thank you for your lovely feed back. Couldn’t wish to have had better first guests to Crogal farmhouse. Looking forward to meeting you again ! Property Owner
