Really well equipped, seems the kitchen was thought out by someone who actually cooks! We had a lovely time and would come back

"I found the website lacking in detail about the property."
The property itself was fantastic. The owner met us on arrival, showed us around and explained some things like using the aga. That was very helpful. The property itself was perfect for our family. It was also full of character. The village was good. We used the village shop and had a meal in the pub on the last evening.

A fabulous character property that is well-equipped and so roomy that it was perfect for our Christmas week family stay, and easily accommodated visits from local extended family. Thanks you so much for decorating for Christmas, that added to our enjoyment.

"A most enjoyable stay at a wonderful old building, this was a great place for a group of friends to meet up in a central part of the country."

"A characterful house, which was beautifully furnished, well equipped, comfortable and clean."
The friendly owners welcomed us and were easily contactable during our stay. Our family of 12, spanning three generations greatly enjoyed spending time together in such a lovely house, especially the evenings together around the large dining table! Knockin is a pleasant village and the local people helpful. Though in a rural location, the road through the village was busy at times with agricultural traffic. This did not affect our enjoyment of the house and garden, however. Thank you for the warning about the original steep and polished staircase to the first floor. With handrails on each side and taking care, this did not present a problem for the able-bodied elderly members of our party. All in all, a wonderful week!
-

"We rented the cottage for a big family get together and it was perfect!"
It was spotlessly clean and incredibly well equipped. The house is full of charm and the 3 generations of my family loved it. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful and helped to make the weekend really special.

"We all commented on how well equipped the house was …everything we needed and more."
It was spotlessly clean and as hosts your were really helpful. We would recommend this to other people.

"Margaret and her husband were very hospitable and went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our Christmas-cum Birthday stay."
We enjoyed the quirkiness and character of the cottage; sitting around the log fires and preparing Christmas dinner over the aga. It is somewhere we would consider again for a large party gathering. Thank you, both!

"We had an AMAZING stay at Top Farm House!"
The photos really do not do it justice! The owners were amazing and very kindly unpacked our food delivery when it arrived before we did! There is a lot to do locally and we had some great lunches at the local pubs, overall it was a fantastic stay!

"We enjoyed our stay at Top Farm House enormously."
The owners, Bob and Margaret, could not have been more helpful in making our stay a memorable one. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The house is very well furnished and a great deal of thought has gone into each room. It is an old house full of nooks and crannies and very interesting for our younger grandchildren who enjoyed exploring both the house and the very large gardens. We tend to go somewhere different each year but should we return to Shopshire we should be happy to return to Top Farm House.
