The property

Y Cartws is a charming cottage situated near the owner's residence on a small holding which is home to their world famous stud farm of Welsh ponies and Cobs.

Llandysul 3.8 miles.

This charming former cart house rests adjacent to the owner's property, near the traditional market town of Llandysul.

Y Cartws is a stone-built property on the owner's working farm, situated ideally for exploring the coast and countryside of Cardigan Bay, and further afield to the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Step through the porch way and straight through to the open-plan living room, a lovely spot which boasts a country-cottage feel, with plush seating, a TV tucked into one corner and a well-presented kitchen.

Sink into the sofa after a day exploring the lakes, nature reserves, castles and caves, and enjoy a hot brew surrounded by your family in front of the cosy wood burner effect electric fire on those frosty evenings.

The dining table invites you to share a home-cooked meal together, before heading upstairs later in the evening to find your comfortable bedrooms, comprising a single, followed by the glistening shower room and lastly a family room occupying a double and a single bed.

Outside, to the front of the property, is an area with a table and chairs for you to sit out on a warm afternoon.

A 5 min drive from the quaint market town of Llandysul, where you will find local shops, pubs, takeaways and a lovely little cafe/bistro.

The local pub is only 1/2 mile away serving traditional food and is also pet friendly.

The coastline is only 15 miles away, where you will discover pretty seaside villages and coves and the stunning sands at the National Trust Penbryn beach.

There are boat trips from New Quay where you can appreciate the beautiful coastline and you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the Cardigan Bay's resident dolphins and grey seals as well as a myriad of bird life.

A little further north is the regency town of Aberaeron which boasts idyllic surroundings with its multicoloured houses lining the streets and harbour, and offers a range of eating facilities including some high class restaurants.

The market towns of Lampeter and Newcastle Emlyn and the larger town of Carmarthen are within easy reach.

Llandysul itself has the spectacular River Teifi flowing right through the village where you can grab a wetsuit and take a course in canoeing, rock climbing or kayaking with the Llandysul Paddlers.

There are so many walking and cycling options on your doorstep to watch the array of wildlife, in particular the Red Kites that nest in the valley.

Brechfa Forest has fantastic cycling and walking trails and the adjacent Llanllwni mountain with a stretch of heathland and breathtaking views.

There is so much to see and do within a short distance of this charming cottage that you will be planning your return visit before you know it.
