  • "We love visiting this area and have stayed in different properties over the past 6 years."

Although they have all been lovely they have been missing something.. but finally we may have just found our perfect place - Lleifior pretty much had it all. Perfect location and perfect views. Clean, comfortable, very well equipped, plenty of space. We loved the little details too - lots of storage space, everything well labelled, and plenty of lamps and cushions for cosy evenings! We can see ourselves returning with just the two of us, but also with the children and their partners - it would really work for whatever combination!

  • "Lovely to find a cottage with secure bike storage and an electric car charger in Dolgellau."

The house was comfortable, the views across to Cader Idris were stunning and the neighbours were really friendly and welcoming. On a hill above the town so a steep road back up. Superb local bakery and butchers makes it worthwhile though! Hosts couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful. A lovely place.

  • "Wonderful property with amazing views looking on to Cader Idris."

The house had everything we needed for our stay. Just a short walk down the hill in to the center of Dolgellau where the was plenty of choice for pubs and restaurants. Look forward to returning!

  • "Lleifior is a comfortable place to stay."

The beds are super comfy and almost didn't want to get up! It has everything you need in the house. A nice quiet area with great views from the windows. We would be happy to stay here again and recommend to others. We went up Snowdonia on the train. Whilst this is about an hour away it's a very scenic route and nice to drive to. There are lovely walks near by as well such as the Precipice walk. Handy to have a small town near by with food shops and petrol station.

  • "This is a fabulous place to stay and we felt very much at home here."

Lleifior has great views and is light and spacious. The beds are very comfortable with a choice of summer or winter bedding and of pillows. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking full meals. The large hallway with it's huge doormat is great for all the boots and shoes. Dolgellau is a lovely little town and is within walking distance if you're fairly active and able to walk back up the hill, otherwise it's a very easy drive. The area is wonderful, with mountains, valley, nature reserves and sea, all within easy reach and providing all sorts of activities for all abilities. The two "precipice walks" have stunning views, the "new precipice" one is wheelchair accessible. The views from the top of Cadair Idris are stunning. The rugged, more difficult hiking area of the Rhinog range is within a twenty minute drive and the Coed y Brenin mountain bike area is even closer. There are numerous walks/bridleways from the door and throughout the area. I'm sure we will be back to explore more!

  • "We had a great stay in Lleifior and fully recommend."

The views are fantastic and the house is spacious and beautifully presented. There are 2 bedrooms on ground floor (master en suite and a small double) and 2 upstairs (a large double with sofa and the twin). There is so much to do in the area - we walked up Cadair Idris, cycled Mawddach trail and mountain bike trails at Coed y Brennin, the Zip World (the Ffestiniog one not as scary as Bethesda one) and lots of walks such as Torrent. It's a lovely area.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Lleifior."

Very well cleaned, maintained and serviced. The beds were comfortable and the accommodation spacious. Plenty of hot water for the kitchen and bathrooms. The description did not include the cloakroom which was a bonus to find. Strong WI-FI signal. The views of the mountains were beautiful. The only slighty negative comment we could make would be that the dishwasher was sited too far away from the kitchen sink. The kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and cooking pans were plentiful. The welcome basked of wine, biscuits, longline milk etc. was appreciated.

  • "My family and I had a lovely week at Lleifior."

The house is exceptional with everything you could possibly need, it is decorated tastefully and equipped to a high standard (so much so that I purchased some of the kitchen utensils I used there for my own kitchen at home) The view is spectacular and it was lovely seeing how the changing weather affected it. Dolgellau is very quaint with lots of eateries and places to have a drink (be it tea or a pint). It is a 10 minute walk into Dolgellau but it will take longer coming back as the house is up a steep hill. The house is in a good location to use as a base and explore this beautiful part of Wales, Barmouth with its sandy beach is a 10 minute drive away. Wherever we went though we loved coming back to the home comforts of Lleifior. Communication was great with Louise the owner- she even told us when the gardener was coming. I would highly recommend this house as a place to stay, an added advantage was that I was able to charge my EV up using solar energy. Also we would recommend George lll pub at Penmaenpool for a meal and a drink with a view.

Great location for exploring Wales. The cottage itself was immaculate and very comfortable. The view was just unreal and our family favourite along with the log burning fire. Only thing we struggled with was the driveway being very steep but we managed to park on the road each day. Would highly recommend :)

  • "We booked a 3 night stay in this property for 6 adults and 2 children under 10."

3 families and the children all had separate rooms. Beautiful location with a fabulous view. 5 minutes into Dolgellau by car and no more than 10/15 minutes walking. There is however a fairly steep hill to walk up back from Dolgellau. We ate in the Royal Ship Hotel in Dolgellau - the food was fantastic. Plenty of coffee shops in the town centre. The house itself was extremely well appointed. Beautiful bedrooms with comfy beds. One of the bedrooms downstairs had an en suite. Very large kitchen, which had everything you need, large dining room and spacious lounge with huge smart tv and log burner. Easy access to the property the owner texted us a code to the key safe by the front door and there was also an additional set of keys. The owner Louise texted us the day before we arrived to wish us a very happy holiday and insisted we contact her should we have any problems. The property itself was very clean and spacious and all the bed linen and towels were provided. The fresh flowers and welcome basket together with a box of logs for the log burner was a nice touch. Thank you Louise and Tim we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Absolutely superb!"

Although we didn't get to meet the owners (Louise and Tim), they did get in touch with us whilst we were there which was really nice. I'm a bit behind leaving this review as we've only just returned from another stay in Norway (disappointing). The house is superb with wonderful views of the surrounding area. House was spotless and extremely well equipped. Off road parking was a bonus as was the extremely polite young lad who came round to take the bins out. Fantastic base for the surrounding areas and we will be definitely staying here again. Thanks again Louise and Tim!
