"Really spacious bungalow except for the miniscule ensuite."
Beds were comfy and nice bedlinen. Will need to take own towels as the ones provided are very thin and worn. Great kitchen, well stocked. The utility room is a bonus for wet coats and shoes! The settee and chairs are low. No steps at all in bungalow or to get in, very easy to get around. (I am disabled). Bungalow is very clean and tidy. Really lovely to be left some fresh flowers and Barabrith a nice touch. Owner visited to make sure we were ok which was kind of her. Some hooks in the bathroom and ensuite would be handy. Beautiful garden, well kept. Although on a main road into Pwllheli we were not bothered by noise even with the windows open. Good location for where we wanted to go. Barmouth and Caernarfon amongst many. Great local eat out places and takeaways. Had a Tesco delivery which worked well. Bungalow lovely and warm throughout even with no heating on and on a cold damp day. Thank you for a nice holiday x

"Another lovely week at our favourite Welsh cottage."
We used every part of the property and the August sunshine meant we got to have lots of garden time. Hoping. To return again next year.
-
"An excellent bungalow for a family holiday."
It was immaculately clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding and towels were high quality. The large rear garden was wonderful for family cricket and football! The owner left a lovely vase of flowers and delicious Bara Brith. Many thanks Mrs Jones. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
-
"The bungalow easily accommodated three family couples."
The location was good for walking into the town for shops and a good base for visiting the local area attractions. The owner visited after we arrived to check everything was okay which was a nice personal touch.
-
"We enjoyed our short break at the property."
It was clean spacious and well equipped. It's in a good location as base to visit all the lovely parts of the Lleyn peninsula including Nefyn and Porth Ora. The owner called round one evening to check as was well. Overall is was a lovely break.
-
"We are a group of 4 golfers in our 60s and it is the 3rd time we have stayed at Car Glas."
It is a great position, just a short walk from the centre of Pwllheli. The bungalow is clean, spacious and very well equipped. Would recommend
-
"We had a lovely week at this truly wonderful bungalow, it had everything you needed for a great stay."
Thank you Mrs Jones
-
"Exceptionally clean, spacious and well equipped bungalow."
Short walk into town or to the beach and conveniently located for exploring farther afield.
-
"An immaculately clean property."
Great gardens and lots of seating areas. Very close to lots of beaches and a short walk into town. Highly recommend this property.
-
"Thank you Mrs Jones for the warm welcome to Cae Glas."
The bungalow was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Well laid out and roomy, with a large hall and utility room. Easy to walk into the center of Pwllheli, car parking was convenient off the main road, and it is on a bus route. Diolch yn fawr am y croeso i Eisteddfod Llyn ac Eifionydd 2023.
-
"Well maintained property, owner was lovely."
As described very clean and comfortable. Within easy walking distance of town centre facilities. Flowers and bara brith on arrival much appreciated. Will book again..

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cae Glas."
The property is in an ideal location for exploring the Peninsula and Pwllheli town centre is within easy walking distance. Aberdaron, Abersoch, Criccieth, Porthmadog and the Snowdonia National Park are all easily accessible, and Llanbedrog beach and Plas Glyn y Weddw are worth a visit. The bungalow was like home from home and spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The beautiful roses and delicious bara brith cake were a thoughtful welcome gift for our arrival. A couple of minor suggestions would be for a hairdryer to be provided ( we couldn't find one) and for a shower curtain in the bathroom shower area to stop the floor getting wet when using the rain shower. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would definitely consider coming back!

"Beautiful and spacious property in an excellent location."
The garden was wonderful for our daughter to run around. Immaculately clean and a friendly helpful owner who provided us with more towels (toddler + heatwave = going through towels like hot dinners!) and helped to direct us to some rapid EV chargers as we’d really struggled to locate available/working ones. The property is very well set up for young kids (no stairs, plenty of space to run around, minimal hazards). Also, some beautiful G Plan and Ercol furniture around the house! Could not have asked for a better property or ease of check in. An hour later check out time would have been easier - packing a house, feeding kids, stripping beds, emptying a fridge and wrangling a toddler put the house before 9am was a challenge, but I’m sure if we had asked the owner ot wouldn’t have been an issue to have a slightly later check out.
-
"The property was extremely comfortable and had everything you could possibly need."
The garden was great for the kids and it was far enough back off the main road to not hear traffic noise. I can’t honestly fault much. Everything you need was provided in the property (and more). Pwllheli is only a short walk so the location is ideal. My only criticism is the curtains were practically useless even with the blinds drawn underneath. They didn’t really keep much light out of the bedrooms in the morning. Also I feel that a 9am checkout is too early. I know longer was required due to covid, but now seems a little too early now there are no restrictions in place anywhere. I would however definitely recommend this property as a base and would happily stay again.
-
"A lovely home away from home."
It felt inviting when we arrived. Everything was just right. Comfy beds, rooms larger than we imagined which was a great bonus and the sofa and chairs, all of which meant a comfortable stay.
-
"Really nice property in a lovely part of Pwllheli."
Ideal for us four senior golfers playing the local courses. rally nicely kept and very clean, would visit again.
-
"The heating was very good the heating was on a timer which was all right you ..."
The heating was very good the heating was on a timer which was all right you would need to know how bypass the timer I didn't know how to but there was no password for the wyfi apart from that the bungalow was fine

"Fantastic time!"
Highly recommended!
-
"An excellent and very well equipped cottage."
The beds were extremely comfortable and there is everything you need in the kitchen. It was a good base to explore our favourite places of Harlech, and Criccieth. We will return next year. Many thanks to Mrs Jones for a lovely stay.
-
"Thanks to Mrs Jones for welcoming us to her very well-equipped, spacious and comfortable bungalow."
The log-burner was a bonus in the wintry January days. A few minutes walk into town for shopping in a number of superstores made life easy. We had a very enjoyable stay.
-
"Beautiful house and beautifully furnished."
Very spacious rooms and very clean. There is a huge garden at the back and the owner thoughtfully asked permission for the gardeners to come whilst we were there. When we arrived there was a lovely bara brith made for us as a welcome gift. . Overall it was a lovely and well equipped , spacious and well kept property.
-
"A very comfortable, well-equipped bungalow, spotlessly clean."
Plenty of parking, and in a good position for exploring the surrounding area. The owner is friendly and helpful, and quickly sorted out a minor issue we had. The only comment I would make is that the bath is quite narrow, and someone of larger build might struggle to use it. The shower is nice and roomy though!
-
"Lovely holiday home, very comfortable, with excellent facilities."
We heartily recommend it to others considering booking.

"This property was better than my own home!"
Every facility was high quality, lots of useful gadgets in the kitchen, plenty of crockery and cutlery, they even provided washing up liquid, a tea towel and oven gloves. The bungalow was tastefully decorated throughout with some original local artwork on display. The furniture was solid and it felt like a home from home. For anyone with mobility issues, everything was on one level. The backdoor had a grab trail to get outside, over the base of the double-glazed door. There was an outdoor table and 6 chairs plus 2 more further up the garden. In summer, as this is a bungalow, you get sun on the patio all day, which is a bonus. The garden is well maintained and restful with a good variety of plants and a large back lawn. The only downside is that people walking on the road behind the property can see in, but very few people go that way. Two of the bedrooms face the road but this isn't an issue as the road isn't that noisy and the bungalow is set back. The beds all have very high mattresses and must be perfect for those who like a really soft bed. I found them a little too soft but not a major problem. Both bathrooms were spotless and had great rain showers along with a handheld shower head. The main bathroom had a jacuzzi but didn't manage to test that out. On one day we had an issue with the hot water. Within minutes of texting the owner, she was on site to check out the issue and within the hour a plumber had been to repair the fault. On arrival we were welcomed by a fresh bouquet of flowers and a large homemade bara brith. Delicious! Such a welcome makes all the difference. As to location, the area behind the bungalow is really quiet which made it perfect for relaxing outside. Getting on and off the property is easy as it's off the service road rather than the main Pwllheli/Abersoch road, which can be bumper to bumper. The nearest shops (Spa or Lidl), English language church and the centre of Pwllheli are a mere 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Llanbedrog and Abersoch were about 20 minutes away in the other direction. Overall, this is an excellent property and I'd happily stay there again.
-
"The situation is ideal with a short walk into Pwllheli."
Stunning scenery and lovely beaches close by. Generally very happy with the property, lovely big garden that is well maintained. Spacious indoors. Plenty of crockery and cooking items. More cutlery would help as need more when using the dishwasher economically. Extra chair in lounge is uncomfortable, as other people have mentioned. No shower curtain in main bathroom that meant the floor became very wet and mat saturated. These are only small issues and would not prevent us from staying again.
-
"This was our second time."
Ticks all the boxes. Close to town for all shopping and dining options. Would stay again. Only one negative this time - Price steep for Pwllheli.
-
"The most cleanest house I have ever been in!"
The house had lovely, huge gardens and lots of space inside. The beds were really comfy and there were enough hangers to put all your clothes on. The house was in a good spot in order to walk into the town! Would definitely stay in this house again (If it was not in pwhelli)! Minor problems were: there was no hairdryer, a radio would have been nice, the garden furniture was scruffy and very rusty, and just some garden and beach toys for the kids. Mainly to make the house more like a home! The flowers and the bara brith were a really nice gesture, and the advice from Mrs Jones was useful! Thank you!
-
"A really good clean holiday let, we enjoyed our stay very much."
we would recommend to any one, a really great place
-
"This lovely, spacious bungalow is situated within a flat 10 minute walk into town."
Although it's on a main road, there was no traffic noise inside this property. The bedrooms are a good size, and the beds were very comfy. The master bathroom is large, and the en-suite bathroom has a lovely powerful shower. The kitchen is well equipped, and the welcome from the owner with a cake, fresh flowers and tips to enjoy the local area were appreciated.
-
"The property was in an ideal location and very easy to find."
The bungalow was very spacious and extremely clean and ticked all the boxes for us. The property had a large garden and other properties were a long way off at the back and front. The whole property was light and airy and the kitchen had plenty of work top surfaces. A very comfortable property which made the holiday so enjoyable. We would certainly visit it again in the future
-
"Lovely Bungalow though in on your website it states games room, dryer games and dvd's ."
There were none of these. There was also very little wood for the log burner and 1 match!! No where did it say where we could purchase any extra wood.
-
"We enjoyed the holiday and everything went very well, the only problem we have with Sykes is your communication, all your emails are in a very small 6 font which is made worse by being in a very light grey colour which is hardly perceivable even with a magnifying glass, the wife cannot read them so does not bother, I am left to do the best I can as things like the key entry code are very important."
All my other emails are in at least a 8/12 font and in a standard black ink. Please can you make your emails more readable so we can continue to holiday with Sykes in the future.
-
"The beautifully bungalow was spacious, thoughtfully decorated and equipped and within easy walking distance of the town which had a variety of independent shops and pubs."
The garden was lovely to relax in in the evenings after long strolls in the beautiful countryside and even a swim at Llanbedrog.
-
"This is a lovely holiday home, a large bungalow so it was great for our families needs."
Spotlessly clean throughout, high chair & travel cot available. It is spacious and well equipped. There is a lovely large enclosed garden at the back of the house, perfect for our 2 year old to run about. It is an easy 10 minute walk into town, where there are lots of shops etc. It is set back from a busy main road, so there is some traffic noise but this was not a problem. A great property for a couple of families to share.
-
"We went to this Cottage for a family holiday and really enjoyed it."
It has a great position for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdon. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay.
-
"Lovely owner who truly couldn’t do enough to help us have the best possible holiday."
The bungalow was very comfortable but could do with a few improvements to make this truly a 5 star property. Fabulous, scenic part of north Wales with beautiful beaches nearby. Thanks for a lovely holiday.
-
"Great week in perfect location for our needs and the facilities and space were ideal"
-
"Great location, 10 minute walk to town, bars and restaurants."
Lidl and Asda ,5 min drive away. Holiday home great, welcoming, nearly everything you need for a break. Only negatives we believe is the lounge needed a larger tv, a clothes dryer next to washer for winter holidays especially as you only get 1 bath and 1 hand towel per person for the week, therefore would need washing, oh and egg cups. Other than that bedrooms good size, kitchen and utility space good. Best bit really comfortable beds, really comfy.
-
"The entrance onto the drive can be a bit tricky."
It's not as close to the beach as you think. There was no guidance on how the heating works. Overall the bungalow was very nice.
-
"Ideal for anyone with mobility issues."
I took my elderly parents. Warm and bright communal areas. Huge sheltered garden perfect if the beaches (of which there are several within a 5 minute drive and one a 20 minute walk) are windy. Very safe. Would suit a family - although would need to ensure supervision of a very young child in the garden which is on two levels. There are two gates to ensure 'containment' of any escapees. Walking distance into town - barely 10 minutes - with several supermarkets.
-
"Great WiFi and good location to walk in to Pwllheli or head further west to the beaches."
Spacious modern and clean property with large outdoor space also. Silly Covid rules meant there was no hair drier and we had to vacate at 9am, not 10 as advertised.
-
"Beautifully-presented bungalow, spacious, light and airy - and immaculately clean."
Very comfortable beds. It had everything we could possibly have wanted! Lovely big garden. Gorgeous woodburning-stove. Very helpful and friendly owner. The bungalow was even more spacious than we thought from the photos! Perfectly located to explore the whole of the Llyn Peninsula, which is just stunning. We absolutely loved it - what more can we say?! Would love to return!
-
"Spacious bungalow which was immaculate inside and out and in a great location"
-
"The cottage was clean, comfortable, spacious and very well equipped."
The level floors throughout and the walk in showers were ideal for my elderly father, who has mobility issues. From reading the visitors book it seems the cottage is also ideal and much appreciated by those with young families, especially given the large enclosed garden to the rear. The location was ideal for exploring the Llyn Peninsula, Snowdonia and the north coast. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
-
"This is a spacious."
Clean rental home in a lovely postion
-
"Great spacious garden & bungalow."
Everything modern and clean.
-
"A real home from home."
Spacious, comfortable and very well equipped.
-
"Beautifully appointed cottage with proximity to Pwllheli."
Very comfortable beds that we didn't want to get out of. Would definitely like to return.
-
"Cae Glas is situated in an ideal location to visit all the sites on the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia."
It was only a 20 minute walk into the centre of Pwllhelli, which in winter is still a very active town, with good pubs, restaurants and shops. It was nice to see the early born lambs in the fields and the spring flowers in bloom,so early in February. Mrs Jones was very welcoming on our arrival, the flowers and welsh biscuits were a pleasant surprise. The bungalow was the perfect place to relax in between our trips to some of the nearby towns which are less busy in winter.
-
"This was our second stay at Cae Glas so we knew that the property would be conveniently situated, comfortably furnished, clean and easy to maintain."
The weather turned out to be much better than we had expected which provided our family with the opportunity to visit local castles, beaches, heritage railways and other places of interest. The booking procedure was very straightforward and easy to follow.
-
"Great location - perfect for parents and grandparents holiday- everyone had ..."
Great location - perfect for parents and grandparents holiday- everyone had their own privacy - garden lovely grandkids cant wait to go back and our four year old grandson said it was his best holiday ever - local shopkeepers really friendly
-
"The bungalow was lovely and so clean, everything needed for a self catering holiday was provided."
It was a short walk to reach shops and there were supermarkets or smaller shops. The property was in a convenient position for visiting around the LLYN Peninsula with many deserted beaches. We particularly enjoyed Plas yen Rhiw house and garden, Abersoch, Aberdaron with lovely cliff top walks and a National Trust visitor centre, Plas Glyn-y -Weddw with its art gallery and very good cafe. The property has a large garden with table and chairs for sitting out. I highly recommend this property.
-
"A clean, comfortable, spacious bungalow that is well positioned for visiting the lovely beaches on the Lleyn Peninsula as well as Portmierion and parts of North Wales."
Great if you are an active walker or cyclist or just want a quiet break. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Mrs Jones and the flowers and treats were very welcome! Would book again if visiting this part of Wales.
-
"Lovely, beautifully maintained property."
The owner was most helpful and informative. A really comfortable house with plenty of space. The sunny garden was delightful. We were walking the coast path around the Llyn so it was very convenient for buses etc.
-
"We stayed for a week with children and grandparents and the property was extremely comfortable, clean and spacious and had everything we needed."
The location is excellent and the huge back garden was perfect for the children to play football while grandad snoozed I the conservatory. We would definitely recommend this property.
-
"The Sykes web site listed under the summary of features for Cae Glas that it had a washer/dryer but it only had a washing machine."
As we were staying there for two weeks we were relying on the fact that it had a dryer to ensure we could dry our clothes if the weather was too wet or cold to dry them outside.
-
"EVERYTHING YOU NEED THERE ."
LOVELY AND CLEAN, COMFORTABLE BEDS . VERY SPACIOUS, LOVELY OUTDOOR AREA. HALF A MILE TO SHOPS, A MILE TO BEACH. MRS JONES CALLED TO SEE IF EVERYTHING WAS OK.
-
"Very spacious bungalow, ideal for a family holiday of grandparents, parents and children"
-
"It would be difficult to find a better holiday 'cottage' than this beautifully furnished bungalow."
The accommodation was perfect for our three generation holiday, with plenty of space both inside and out for adults to relax and children to let off steam. Having two bathrooms was a definite plus. The owner kindly provided welcoming biscuits and Welsh cakes, and even took the trouble to bring us a new cafetière part way through our stay, because she thought the existing one was a bit substandard. [We hadn't noticed!] We have been coming to this glorious area for over 30 years and loved introducing the delights of Llandbedrog and Abersoch beaches to our grandchildren, as well as walking along the spectacular coastline and, of course, devouring Cadwalader's amazing ice creams!
-
"Excellent accommodation, very spacious, and certainly suited to young children, as there are plenty of areas to run around, inside and out."
-
"Even after seeing the photographs of the property online we were pleasantly surprised to find the property exceeded our expectations."
It couldn't have been more perfect. This is a spacious bungalow with three well appointed and adequately sized double bedrooms. The kitchen was clean, large and well equipped. The location ideal for getting around the northern part of Cardigan Bay with all its castles and beautiful coastline; plus The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways. Thanks so much. All in all, a great holiday!
-
"The photos simply don't do this property justice."
It's fitted out to a really high standard with lots of little personal touches that makes you feel comfortable and at home. Plenty of parking space available on the drive too. We'd arranged an online food order to be delivered to the bungalow but there are several supermarkets less than half a mile away in the village, two of which also do online deliveries. We loved the marina, again a short walk from the bungalow and there's a nice beach for the children. Good central location for touring round North Wales, with easy access to the main routes. The only downside to our week was it simply wasn't long enough to do everything we wanted. A big thank you to Mr & Mrs Jones, the owners, for the complimentary Welsh Cakes, Shortbread, and tea making provisions, they were much appreciated. Lovely to meet you, hope to visit you again.
-
"The owner, Mrs Jones exceeded expectations by providing us with 2 cots and 2 high chairs for our twin boys!"
-
"This bungalow is really lovely all you wish and more from a holiday let ."
It is only a short stroll into the centre and in a very pretty area of Wales .We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
-
"Cottage well placed for access to amenities (shops etc and for touring ) extremely spacious and comfortable _ particularly the good quality beds."
-
"We had a fantastic stay at Cae Clas cottage."
The house was spotless, comfortable, great locatation. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would highly recommend.
