  • "We loved the house but we’re extremely disappointed by the beds and some of the sofas."

The quality of them didn’t match the quality of the rest of the house and what we would have expected. The bedding and towels were also of cheap quality. We had the worst week of sleep we’ve ever had away, so disappointing when everything else was really good. Have already been in touch with Carys directly and have been told they’re replacing the beds in September and putting black out blinds in then. Although this is great for future guests it feels too little too late.

  • "Lovely home, thank you for an amazing stay."

We appreciated the extra loo rolls, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. When we informed carys about the leak under sink and wasps getting through crack in wall she responded immediately. If there's anything that could be improved upon for the comfort of those staying would be black out curtains, otherwise was perfect!

  • "Loved the house."

It was very well equipped and the downstairs kitchen and living areas were excellent. The fabulous collection of Duplo was particularly enjoyed by our grandson. A collection of adult games such as Scrabble, trivial pursuit and local guide books would be an asset to the house. The bathrooms were excellent apart from the downstairs toilet seat which slipped around when sat on and has been previously mentioned in a review as needing fixing. The showers were very good hot and powerful. The bedrooms were all a good size. The bed in the main room was comfortable. One bed has a standalone frame surround which has missing slats at the bed head end and rocks around noisily and alarmingly. Another bed has a fixed metal bed head which creaks with every turn. However our main issue was the very thin curtains which blocked very little light from the moon or sun. Also the road noise. If there had been thick curtains or blinds we would have rated the accommodation higher. Luckily we had taken a blackout blind for the toddler room not so lucky for the adults. Outside space is as described. House is very well placed for access to beaches and town.

  • "It was spotless and had everything you need for a self catering holiday The welcome and service was second to none, 5* without a doubt."

You can tell the quality thought and you can tell the love that has been going into making our stay welcoming. Truly a home from home. The additional personal touches and kindness was really appreciated. Having holidayed for over 50 years a child and now grandmother. This holiday let is certainly on a par with the let in Nefyn we returned to for over 35 years until the wonderful couple Olwyn and Thomas retired. This is the very first time as a family been based in Pwllheli, and definitely wont be the last. We've had a delightful holiday and will be returning for the foreseeable and I dare say for the future generations to come. Thank you See you next year.

  • "Thanks for nice holiday cottage!"

Only thing to repair is in the downstairs toilet seat (the ring) which is not staying in one place while sitting on it.

  • "What a fab find."

Perfect location just a few mins from the centre of Pwllheli. We stayed as a family of 8 . Property is immaculate and really well equipped and spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend this for a large group. Rooms are well appointed and the facilities are excellent. There was plenty of room for everyone and the garden was great to sit out and eat in and the kids had loads of room to play.

Great location to the nearest Pwllheli beach, and other local attractions too such as Porth Neigwl, Nefyn etc. Parking space is spacious, house is spacious and comfortable for what we need after hours of driving to reach Pwllheli. Contact person has been very helpful and responsive to any of our queries, and so welcoming. I would not hesitate to come and stay here again in the future.

  • "A great well equipped modern and spacious house with 4 large comfortable double rooms a modern stylish bathroom and downstairs shower room, Modern spacious kitchen with large American fridge freezer."

Utility room with. Washer dryer and microwave. Large seperate dining room and lounge. Carris the property manager is very friendly and helpful and is on the end of a phone, lives locally and responds quickly to any requests The house is five minutes walk from the centre of Pwhelli and Lidl Asda and an amazing Spar. There is a large safe enclosed garden to the front with a swing ideal for young children. The home is an ideal base for exploring the Lyn Peninsular with lots of great beaches and attractions within 30 min drive. Pwllheli has 2 safe Sandy beaches, short drive to Abersoch and Criccieth and 25 mins to Porthmadog and Welsh Highland Railway which is great for young kids. The house is on a main road to the front which is busy. The windows in the house block out the road noise but if you are a light sleeper it might be problematic in hot weather if you need to sleep with windows open. The Whitehall in town serves great food, the Jewel in the Crown is a good Indian and Allporrs is a nice Fish and chip shop, there is a great fishmongers next to the Spar which also has live lobster and dry aged steak in a special fridge. The house is very airy and remains cool in hot weather. We had a great stay would definitely return.
