  • "Lovely place, everything you need for a short or longer break."

Nice welcome pack. Well equipped but an iron and and a hairdryer would be great to add. Fantastic well maintained patio and a garden. Few downsides. As apart of a bigger property we had the ground floor and further two floors were occupied by other people. You could hear every noise especially the little boy running up and down from 7:30 every morning. Not ideal if you come to catch up with a sleep. The parking space on the back where our entrance was I thought was just for us, but our neighbours had two cars so they parked one on the front and the other in our space. That was causing problem getting to and from the car as the space wasn't quite big enough for two cars. Confusion with the waste collection. The rubbish has been cancelled every three weeks. We didn't know if that was the right week. The bin was full. We took it down the hill to the main road (quite a journey) just to find out that the general wast was collected last week, so we had to bring the full bin back. Visitors should be given the exact dates when the collection is actually happening. Overall our dogs and we had a lovely time.

Thank you for your feedback, we will put an iron and hairdryer back there as we didn’t know they had gone missing. The parking is for the exclusive use of the Apartment, however when we lived in Hillside we were able to park two cars in the area with one in forward and one in reverse and both up against the shed wall and the other with just enough room to open the gate, however it is tight and needs some practice. Yes the bins are a pain, there were two bins interchangeable but perhaps one has strayed off, ill update the info sheet with the bin collection days but in the past the bins just get missed. We can only apologise about the occupants of the Large 3 story house above but we spent a considerable amount on insulation both noise and fire between those floors. Property Owner

  • "The apartment was ok- not of the standard I expect from Sykes."

The property had a damp smell and was grubby. The shower head leaks over the top of the shower cubicle. Cobwebs with spiders in the bedroom and lounge. Garden was unkempt and the patio area and furniture was filthy!! There was no visible information about anything. A mirror in the bedroom would be useful. Having said all of that we enjoyed our break, visiting some lovely places.

Look at the feedback after this week ! Same place different eyes. We have an info sheet with the important stuff on it and leave dozens of leaflets regarding local attractions. We choose not to leave reams of information as many people these days just use their own internet searches to find anything out they need. The Apartment is situated in a rural location in Wales, we don’t have much control over the wildlife or weather so it’s difficult to stop spiders getting in, but they do keep flies sorted and unfortunately being by the sea when it rains it’s a mixture of salt and sand that falls on anything horizontal. Thanks for you feedback however. Property Owner

  • "This is the worst property we have stayed in over the 8 years of using sykes."

Be prepared to take cleaning clothes, loo roll, washing up liquid and mop as the owners don't provide them. The hoover wasn't emptied and the steam cleaner and type of long handle duster thing was dirty and disgusting so had to go out and buy cleaning items. No surfaces in living room, bedroom have been dusted in weeks in fact this place wants a deep clean especially in corners of rooms where dirt and debris collected. In the bedroom there was a disgusting damp stained dog bed which needs to go in bin. Cobwebs with spiders in all rooms and very musky damp smell about the place. A lovely welcome pack of wine, cheese, butter, bread and milk was left but I think that money would have been better spent on starter pack of 1 loo roll as there was none, cleaning clothes and wash liquid. There isn't even a frying pan or oven trays to cook anything on. There was a roasting tray so we did everything on that. This apartment is situated in a lovely place and great for town and beach and accessible to great North wales days out. Also why is the apartment above have its doorbell connected to this apartment....very annoying and loud. We spent 3 days speaking and emailing photos to sykes who did absolutely nothing except contact owners who offered a reclean which I refused as we didn't want anyone in there with all our possessions and this should be clean b4 we got there. Owners said no compensation which we never asked for anyway. We won't be back. Very disappointed with lack of care from owners and sykes.

Thank you for your feedback, however it seems a tad unfair. The cleaners leave everything you mention ? The mop and brush and dustpan and brush were under the stairs, we checked after your feedback ? Cobwebs and spiders at this time of year appear within hours, sorry. Loo roll ? There is alway at least 1 on tge holder and one or two spares, but we have mentioned this to our cleaners. Frying pan was their, in the cupboard by the tumble dryer, sorry you couldn’t find it, we have asked the cleaners to make it more obvious. Door bell is sorted, sorry about that but when we lived there we used the whole house and forgot that the bell rang in the Apartment. We did offer a re-clean which you refused, our cleaners indicated there was nothing unusual the following clean ? Anyway thank you for your helpful suggestions. Property Owner

Nice and quiet. Garden well maintained. 2 minutes walk to shops . 5 minutes walk to town centre. Field by harbour for dog walks. Sue & Graham

  • "Sadly this property did not live up to the high standard we usually expect from Sykes."

Difficult to find, (though Sykes were excellent at helping with this), grubby and tired. Great central location and super welcome food & drink but towels and linens worn, chipped crockery and a filthy cordless hoover hanging in the corner of the bedroom detracted from the charm of this property. Lovely little garden also needs some TLC. No mirror except in bathroom, only one pillow each and one spare, uncomfortable tatty seating in living area, no recycling facilities for rubbish. No information about the area, noisy fridge needs defrosting. This property needs an inspection, some new home touches and a good deep clean.
