  • "We booked Angorfa for a family get together in Llanbedr, a place we know well."

The cottage is ideally placed for visiting North Wales with a wide variety of things to do and places to visit. The cottage is well provisioned, you’ll struggle to find anything missing, and the welcome pack covers everything from a Cup of Coffee/Tea to the dishwasher tablets to clear up afterwards. The beds are all comfortable, I’m reliably informed as I only slept in one, and all the linen was clean and plenty of it. The lounge has comfortable sofa’s a variety of lighting, TV and good internet connection. The whole cottage is nicely presented without being so over the top you are constantly making sure things are not getting knocked over or letting kids/pets be themselves. The owner sent us a welcome text to make sure everything was ok on arrival. Despite being beside the road, it is a bit busy during the day, the noise was not intrusive and its quiet at night so doesn’t present a problem at all. We had a great stay and I’d recommend the property to anyone plannimg a visit to North Wales.

Huge, stunning and very well equipped. Stayed here as a family of four with 2 children. Lovely living spaces and real attention to detail in every room. Very comfy beds, better than ours at home! Having stayed in many Sykes cottages we rate this one very highly. Next door to a lovely pub with a playground for kids which was ideal. Thanks for having us!

  • "We spend about a week here in Angora."

We felt very comfortable in Angorfa and the surrounding area. The house is very well equipped and, to our pleasant surprise, very quiet. Paper towels, toilet paper, tea towels and kitchen towels were provided, as were all the towels for the bathrooms. We also really liked the parking space behind the house and the walking distance to "The Victoria Inn". A clear recommendation from us! One small thing that was not a problem for us, but could perhaps be for the landlord, should be mentioned: The taps on the bathroom sinks and in the kitchen drip even when the water is turned off. The water drain in the bathroom sinks is also very slow.

  • "Beautiful property."

Very spacious - lots of room for all 5 of us. Everything we could have needed in the kitchen. Thankful for the dishwasher tablets and laundry tablets. Welcome basket of tea, coffee, bread, milk & butter was a lovely touch and meant we could have a cuppa while waiting for the Asda delivery. Only minor negative for us was I didn’t realise how many stairs there were. You go up one set from the ground floor to a half landing with a bathroom and then a few more steps up to the first king size bedroom/living room. I’d booked the property for my Dads 80th birthday and hadn’t realised he’d have to navigate stairs to the bathroom at night from that first bedroom. This is only minor though and probably concerned me more than him! There are also a few steps down from the rear car park to the gate into the backyard - nothing major but just to be aware of if you have someone in your party with limited mobility. None of this detracted from the convenience and beauty of the property. I would book it again in a heartbeat - just maybe with friends next time rather than Dad!

  • "Angorfa is a lovely house with everything needed away from home, we enjoyed our stay."

Plenty of room for the whole family to have their space. Super comfortable beds. Evening dinners around the huge dining table, cosy evenings in the lounge. Weather wasn’t kind to us, the bonus having a pub and a shop on the doorstep and Barmouth and Porthmadog in short driving distance makes Angorfa a great location.

  • "Had quite a shock at just how big the house is!"

Reminded us of an old school house with the hall bench, bell, and under stairs cupboard. The house surprisingly kept so warm with thick stone walls. We had everything we needed for 3 days. Plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery, glasses, a handy utility for longer stays. All the beds were comfortable, and clean modern bathrooms, although the top bathroom shower does lose a little heat, but it is at the top of a 3 storey house. Fabulous large mirror on the top landing. Hairdryer also. It is great that the property is dog friendly, but would have been even better if allowed upstairs to the second floor at least, as our dog is like our shadow and likes to be part of the family, so that was a bit awkward for us. Being as there is only a back courtyard we walked our dog a lot to do his business. Great having the car park outside the back gate too. A wall clock in the bedrooms would have been handy and maybe a couple more tea towels as we didn’t use the dishwasher. I would definitely recommend staying at Angorfa in a lovely small Welsh village with plenty of amenities if you are after a large house with plenty of space for families. Thank You.

  • "Had a great stay at Angorfa (our second visit) in Llanbedr."

Perfect location in the heart of the village, right by a pub (great food and outdoor play area), 2 restaurants, a cafe and small shop. Parking (free) is plentiful at the rear of the house. The house itself has plenty of room for a large family (we were 6 adults, 2 kids). The house is comfortable and well equipped, the kitchen and 2 bathrooms are modern. The only suggestion I’d make is that the courtyard could do with a jetwash - this is a minor point and didn’t spoil our enjoyment of our holiday. I’d recommend this property and we will hopefully stay there again in the future.

As a dog friendly property it would be great to see dogs being allowed upstairs into the main living area. Downstairs isn’t as comfy as it could be when you are spending lots of time downstairs. If the property is to remain whereby dogs are to stay on the ground floor, it would be nice to have some comfier seating in the dining area. It would also be beneficial to have more stair gates available when staying with a toddler - definitely on the first floor where the living room is. A superb property in a lovely location. Everything you would need for your stay is there. A well equipped kitchen with all the necessary cooking aids, dishwasher, easy to operate oven and cooker and a nice central food prep area. A massive dining table that seats 8 is next door with a lovely fire place and window seat. Up on the first floor past a bathroom is bedroom 1 (a double) and a large comfortable tastefully decorated living room. Up again past another bathroom on the second floor is a double, a twin and another with a bunk bed. All beds very comfortable and everyone had a good nights sleep. The only thing I would say is that pets have to stay on the ground floor and are not allowed upstairs which can be a bit of a problem when everyone is upstairs in the living room in the evening. Our Wilf is used to being with us so someone had to stay downstairs with him. A local pub which is very nice and friendly with good food and dogs are welcome. Another hotel up the road again, very nice and dogs welcome. Angorfa is situated in Snowdonia but be prepared for quite a bit of driving if you're visiting a lot of the attractions nearby. It's around an hour to Conway to give you a rough idea. The roads around the area are in great condition though and the views when you get nearer Snowdon itself are stunning. Overall I would thoroughly recommend Angorfa and give it 9 out of 10 (doggies downstairs losing 1 point).

We also got an Asda delivery and a few Amazon too while there for the week with no problems. There is a lovely pub but unfortunately due to restrictions it wasn't yet open. We we're truly spoilt with this house and the local area, the views and sights were just breathtaking. Thanks for everything. Kaz

the booking process was very straightforward and all the information received was very clear and concise. The house was exceptional - probably the best holiday let we have ever stayed in . Everything in the house was immaculate and of a very high standard. It is perfectly located in a pretty village with 3 pubs , a small shop and even a café which was sadly closed on Monday's when we tried to visit for breakfast . Really could not fault a thing

We are familiar with the area but never stayed in Llanbedr before and the little village has definitely become our favourite after our stay at Angorfa. There are 3 pubs within walking distance, a shop over the road and easy parking at the rear of the cottage. The interior of the cottage has such a homely feel, the owners have thought of every floats detail and it definitely felt like a home from home. Thanks Angorfa, we look forward to staying again!

There are three pubs in the village, all of which serve food, a cafe and shop. A very nice area with some great walks and beaches. The cottage itself was impressive. It is in the centre of the village with easy parking to the rear of the property. It is very spacious and has everything you are likely to need. It was very much a home from home and so comfortable to relax in when not out and about. Would definitely stay here again.

Very tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It had everything you could possibly need as a home away from home. It was much larger than we had imagined and felt very spacious. It was well placed for exploring the surrounding area. Parking was convenient being a dedicated space at the rear of the property. Everyone we met were very friendly and helpful -suggesting places to visit. The food at the local pubs was good too and dog friendly ! We were lucky enough to be there in time to attend the local beer festival on Saturday evening which was great fun and fab atmosphere. . The welcome e-mail from the owner was also very thoughtful - ensuring we had everything we needed and wishing us a lovely stay. We all hope to return again at some point and would definitely recommend Angorfa.
