  • "Me and my dog had a great stay!"

The setting was perfect for a getaway from the noise from bonfire night. I would definitely recommend this lovely little place to anyone!

  • "Lovely place to stay, did have abit of a weird smell but I think it was to do with drainage."

Not much the owner could do about it! Nothing too bad though! Couldn't ask for a better host! Thankyou so much Lynda! Some lovely places to view all within 30 minutes drive and some lovely places to eat! Will be back. Kind regards, Andy + Kinga

  • "Chateau Petit is Clean, Comfortable and Very Compact."

We were guided there by Lynda due to the rural vageries of sat nav which left us stranded up a mountain! Lynda was a welcoming hostess (thank you Lynda) and was available for help and advice during our stay. A lot of space for our dog and ourselves outside although in late September we did not make much use of this. Dogs being dogs, ours took no notice of the sign that dogs were not allowed in the bedroom, the lack of a door between bedroom and living room being an open opportunity for unwelcome pooch incursions and lack of sleep! Overall satisfied with our stay though less rain would have helped make it better!

  • "Really peaceful stay with lovely and really friendly hosts."

Can see they care as they go the extra mile and also with little extras added to the cabin (I was greeted by Jaffa cakes!). Lynda was very helpful and also gave me a couple of places to walk my dog. Lots of places you can drive to and walk around and some beautiful villages and gorgeous countryside. The only thing I found was the chairs to be a bit hard/uncomfortable especially when coming back from a long walk. Apart from that it’s a beautiful cabin with good sized garden. Would highly recommend. Thank you for letting me and Pippa stay there :)

  • "It is in a lovely tranquil area."

The Chateaux is beautiful with everything you need for your stay. Finding it is a bit hit and miss if you use your sat nav. Lynda the owner rang us just in time to give us the correct directions which saved us from getting lost. We would definitely like to go back again. The only one thing for us was the bed was a little firm.

What an amazing place and Lynda was the perfect host, firstly I couldn’t find the place phone call to Lynda “no problem I will come and get you” then we saw the lodge which is lovely, our host went through the facilities and where the local eateries two of which are easy walking distance away (and the food is great) both are pet friendly, the lodge setting is amazing very quiet we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and recommend it to anyone, thank you Lynda xx

  • "Lynda was very welcoming and took us through every thing to get us started."

It i was an ideal base for exploring mid and north Wales.Lynda put us onto a local eatery based in a holiday camp only 3 minutes in the car or a 10 minute walk. Food was really good and of high quality. TV reception can be a bit iffy sometimes but moving the set around soon rectified that. No problems to speak of and two weeks went by far to quick before we had to leave the chateau. My wife and I plus two dogs enjoyed ourselves very much.

  • "What a beautiful little spot, the holiday property was very cosy, set in a beautiful garden."

The owner was very pleasant and was very welcoming. The property had everything we needed and we had no cause to ask for anything, but if we had off it was clean the Owner would have been very helpful and accommodating. The area was a good spot I wales not far from some very picturesque places. Our Cocker Spaniel loved exploring the garden whilst we sat and enjoyed a BBQ and fire. I would highly recommend this beautiful property for a lovely getaway.

Set on one level with a large, attractive garden and picnic furniture, this romantic bolthole is a wonderful escape for a couple looking to spend a weekend away in Mid Wales.

Step inside and discover the kitchen/living area with a small dining area which is perfect for creating a romantic meal for two.

Take a seat in front of the TV or pour a glass of wine and sit on the beautiful terrace, all whilst your pooch safely roams the enclosed garden or take them out to the paddock for a run around.

When stars appear above, retire to the double bedroom and dream about the adventures to come.

Explore your surroundings - if you don’t feel like cooking, treat your partner to a well-deserved meal and local ales at Arthur’s, or if you can tear yourself away, the Red Lion which rests nearby.

Within the village of Trefeglwys there is also a well-stocked convenience store for picking up any essentials.

Venture onto Llanidloes, where you can test out your swing at the excellent St Idloes Golf Club or dine at the popular Whistling Badger.

If you’re seeking an outdoor adventure, there are stunning views and superb walking and cycling opportunities throughout the Shropshire Hills AONB, where you can expect incomparable views and charming villages along the way.

Consider taking a ride on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway, where you can relax on a historic train and take in your extraordinary surroundings; a truly one-of-a-kind way to explore the sights.

However you choose to spend your time, a break at Chateau Petit promises a well-deserved rest or romantic retreat, whatever time of year.
