"Lovely property"

"It's one of the best rentals we have ever been to."
Very comfortable feel to the cottage straight away very clean and great starter pack which was a nice surprise. Would recommend to anyone.

"The accommodation was in an ideal position to tour the interesting Castles, Country houses, and scenic Beaches in Aberdeenshire."
It's located minutes away from an entrance to the beautiful Aden Country Park and Leo our little Frenchie loved his long walks in it every day we were there. The park has excellent play areas for kids and an enclosed dog agility area where we could let Leo off the lead and he enjoyed that a lot. The accommodation itself was even better than the description with a very large open plan area incorporating Kitchen, Dining and Living room. The kitchen has all the utilities (fridge, freezer, dishwasher cooker) that you need to cater for the whole family. The living area has a good sized HD television with Freeview Play and there are plenty of games around to keep kids happy. A dog bed was provided which our Leo preferred to his own bed and he loved the present of a little stuffed animal that was left for him. Both bedrooms were a good size with comfortable beds and there is a good sized Bathroom with a large shower. A small utility room by the entrance to the property has a sink and a good-quality washer dryer. Should we return to the area in the future we wouldn't hesitate to book The Hayloft for our stay

"Really enjoyed my week at The Hayloft, right from the friendly welcome when I arrived."
The property was comfortable, well-equipped and peaceful. It made an ideal base for exploring an area I had never been to before. And I appreciated the walk recommendations which I followed up. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to my friends. Or returning there myself.

"Wonderful. Thank you so much"

"Just got back for an excellent stay at the hayloft in mintlaw."
Was up for a long weekend and the place was ideal for what we needed. Plenty room for 2 adults 2 boys & a Frenchie. The place was warm and cosy every evening. The place was clean and had everything we needed inside for our stay. Outside was beautiful and the park next door was brilliant. Highly recommended

"What a fantastic property."
We loved every aspect of The Hayloft. We especially liked the dog friendly touches such as leaving us a dog toy, on the supplied dog bed. We brought our own bed with us but the dog ignored it for the one supplied by the owners of The Hayloft. The location is remote enough to be quiet & you feel very out of the way, but the Aden Country Park is literary accessed across the road. We spent most of the week in the park as the beaches at Cruden Bay & Peterhead were struggling with avian flu. The local shop was a few minutes drive away & could be walked to through the Country Park if preferred. I highly recommend The Hayloft & only wish we owners had not been away (Seattle USA) during our stay as I would like to have expressed my thanks personally. Awesome place & we would not hesitate to revisit or recommend to others. Thank you.

"Very well presented modern property with everything provided for a comfortable stay."
Welcome pack very much appreciated. Very attentive and obliging owner. Having dog with us there was a bonus having the fantastic Aden Country Park literally on the doorstep!.
-
"Wonderful large loft conversion style flat."
Great kitchen, dining and seating areas cleverly separated in one large space. Good size rooms and bathroom. Everything necessary was provided so anyone staying need only take personal items like shower gel etc. You might want to take washing up liquid but we managed without by using the small dishwasher (tablets provided). Spotlessly clean, plenty of towels, bottle of fizzy, Aberdeen batteries, milk and dog bed all there waiting. Fantastic area and Aden Park was brilliant for dog and children. Would be delighted to return.
-
"Clean comfortable property in an excellent location."
Would recommend.
-

So near to park for Susie I will come back.

"Had a lovely week at Hayloft."
Clean warm and very comfortable. Very dog friendly with Aden country park just across the road. Will definitely return and recommend.
-
"Very comfy, thank you."
Everything we needed. Great location for easy wet dog walk in Arden Park, and stunning coastal walks in sunshine! Thanks for the tip to keep dog on the lead: the cliffs are surprising when they drop away aren't they . . He adored his dog bed and toy for our stay.

"Absolutely lovely property in a quiet location, we have had a blast, the dog ..."
Absolutely lovely property in a quiet location, we have had a blast, the dog loved the country park at the bottom of the driveway and we loved exploring the surrounding areas by car, watched beautiful sunsets at St Combs beach, newburgh seal beach, ate out easily as family of vegan/vegetarians Highly recommend

"Everything was great including lovely welcome pack."
-
"This accommodation was immaculately clean and in a great location for accessing bike trails and Aden park."
Kitchen furnishings excellent for self catering (no freezer, though) and comfortable sitting room with nice TV. The bed in the double room is a small double.
Thank you for your kind words, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to note for the avoidance of doubt, the bed in the double room is a standard UK size double bed. Thanks. Property Owner

"Lovely accommodation, well equiped and clean."
In a beautiful location.

"A lovely place to be, tranquil but with enough to do nearby for those that want it."
We're expecting our first child soon so couldnt travel abroad and just wanted somewhere comfortable and relaxing for a change of scene. Lovely touches abound, from welcoming cookies and bubbly to chew toys for the dog. Well done Morag and Phillip for getring the customer experience just right.
-
"Lovely setting and spacious and comfortable."
We really appreciated the extras, the cava and butteries etc. Not sure if it was an error but there was no handwash or soap which meant we were stuck for washing our hands until we got to the shops -given covid and everything it would have been appreciated. Also a few instructions would have been helpful for the heating etc. But we enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft and found the hotel food and service at Saplinbrae very good.
-
"Comfy, well equipped and decorated holiday apartment - Perfect location for exploring the Formartine and Buchan Way by bike."
-
"The Hayloft was absolutely perfect, beyond our expectations!"
The house is charming and incredibly well equipped. Morag and Philip are lovely people and made us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay and we'd recommend the Hayloft to anyone looking to spend some time in the attractive Aberdeenshire.

"Superb! Couldn't fault this lovely property."
Modern, comfortable and spacious with everything you need. The location is beautiful and quiet and opposite the gorgeous Arden Park, ideal for dog walking. Mintlaw village is a short drive away or you can walk through the park to it. It has all the necessary shops. Location wise you are close to the coast and the glorious little bays of Banff and Portsoy, and you are spoilt for choice for castles, distilleries and walks. Extremely nice owners. Highly recommend this place.

"The Hayloft did not disappoint, it was clean, comfortable and well presented."
It is set in an ideal location, next to a country park and not far from a lake, which offer lovely scenic walks. There are shops not too far away (although a car is recommended for this), and the coast is only 10 miles away. There are plenty of National Trust for Scotland sites nearby. Morag was a great host, and was there if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend this place. Thanks Morag, for sharing this wonderful property with us. We wish you all the best in the future.
