"What a lovely well appointed cosy cottage in Aylsham."
It was everything we expected and more. It was pristine and quality of bed linen and towels was an added touch. Toiletries added and a really lovely welcome with milk, local bread & cake and strawberries to greet us. Lovely area to walk and days out.
Thank you Lynn for your lovely comments, I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Bridge cottage and discovering this area of Norfolk. Property Owner

The cottage is homely and furnished beautifully. The kitchen is fully equipped. The cottage is in a great position in Aylesham with everything within walking distance of the house. Lovely welcome pack too.

"Bridge Cottage was exactly as we imagined it, clean, cosy and had everything we needed."
The stairs are quite steep and narrow as stated. The lovely little garden/patio area, where we ate most days, was perfect. There was also a fab welcome pack which was very helpful as we arrived late. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I hope we are able to return one day, I think it would be super cozy for a winter break.
How lovely to read your feedback Maria. So pleased you enjoyed the cottage and your stay, making the most of being able to sit out in the garden after a day’s exploring. Thank you and do come back again, best wishes, Melanie Property Owner

Roadside parking worked out OK and it is only a fifteen walk into the town centre. My wife and I plan to return to this cottage.

"Great cottage and very comfortable bed."
Only niggle would be that the patio needs cleaning. Appreciate its winter but there is lots of moss and I slipped over when going outside. Need a new comments book also. Apart from that. Great location loved the town so much have booked again for Easter.
Dear Andrew, Thank you for your lovely comments about your stay at Bridge Cottage and Aylsham. I'm so sorry to hear you slipped over, it has been so wet recently. Thank you for letting me know - will make sure to clean the patio. I forgot to take the new guest book but it will be there for next time! all best wishes, Melanie Property Owner

"We thought the cottage was lovely and very clean however we were disappointed in the “welcome pack”’which only contained 6 eggs, a cake, bottle of milk and some raspberries!"
Parking was an issue but we expected that. However on Monday morning (departure day) we were woken up at 6.45pm by workman digging up right outside of cottage! Surely the owner or yourselves would have been made aware of this work and I think we should have been pre warned!! It was noisy and very disruptive with workman right outside drilling and when it came to packing up our car to return home there was absolutely no where for us to park as access to and from cottage was obscured and there were bollards and traffic lights outside! I appreciate work needs doing but I feel it’s Sykes responsibility to advise holiday tenants accordingly of this disruption!
Dear Anne-Lise, Please accept my very sincere apologies about all the noise and inconvenience on the morning of your departure - this was a genuine mistake, the builders had been instructed not to start any work until after the departure time of 10am and we were not expecting the traffic lights etc.! The work was brick repairs to the front wall of the cottage and its neighbour. Sykes are not at fault and were not aware of the disruption, since we were not expecting to have any. The cottage was blocked out for booking for that week to ensure there was minimum disturbance to guests. Again, please accept my apologies - I'm so sorry we failed with the carefully made plans. I'm sorry you were disappointed with the welcome pack, there are no rules and we always like leave more than the recommended milk and a cake./biscuits and choose local products, such as the eggs and the locally grown raspberries. Apart from the above, I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay at Bridge Cottage. Property Owner

"Bridge cottage was clean comfortable and in a good location."
A short walk into town with several restaurants and excellent bakery and butchers. A great walk off road to Blickling Hall. A bus into Norwich. Outside courtyard was lovely to enjoy a cuppa or glass of wine.
