  • "Absolutely fabulous house, so much space we could spread out."

Fabulous host, plumber round within an hour to fix blocked shower tray. Wonderful secure garden for children and dog. Every possible utensil you would ever need in the kitchen. Games galore. At the end of the day we had comfy beds to snooze ready for the next day of adventures.

  • "Look at the listing, what you see in the photos is what you get."

The location is first rate (pubs, Coop, restaurants within 3 minutes walk) as is the location of Snettisham for access to coast and other destinations. Just right for a large family or a group of friends - you can be together or find a bit of space.

  • "The Old Bakehouse was perfect for a family holiday."

Plenty of room for everyone and beautifully decorated. The games room was great and the kids spent loads of time in there and the garden. The village of Snettisham is charming. We had everything we needed on our doorstep with unlimited day trips to beautiful beaches along the Norfolk coast. We had a great time.

  • "Beautiful cottage, everything you need was there."

Perfect for 7 people and our German shepherd so much space for us all to be together or have our own space. The garden photos didn't do the property justice, it was just brilliant. Tastefully decorated throughout, and hearing the queen mother had tea in the front lounge went down very well. We saw a few people taking photos of 'our cottage'. Breakfast at the Old Store and tea at the Rose and Crown recommended and a daily sourdough loaf (award winning) disappeared very quickly !! Even got a painting of the Bakehouse at a Snettisham Art sale. Loads of walks in every direction from the house. We loved this house and Snettisham.

  • "We loved it !"

Very comfortable, beautifully decorated throughout & full of character. The house was extremely well equipped with all we needed & so much more. Our grandson loved his bedroom with the toys & books & our dog was very well catered for. It made us all feel very relaxed and chilled. The tardis was AMAZING a huge talking point & the pool room provided lots of fun & friendly competition! We enjoyed too the Welcome Pack of drinks & cakes, very much appreciated especially the Sandringham Apple juice!! It was the perfect holiday with our sons, daughter-in-laws, grandsons & dog and can’t thank you enough.

  • "We all had the best stay, such a beautiful cottage and extremely well equipped."

Our only very slight negative is the double bed in the front room, it’s a metal frame and makes a lot of noise, I felt like everytime one of us moved we woke up. So neither of us slept well. The rest was just perfect and we would happily re book. So many lovely things to do near by too, we loved Old Hunstanton and Holme, Sandringham and the Rose and Crown next door was fab. Or kiddies had the best time and we all have the holiday blues. Thank you for such a wonderful day, we hope to be back one day soon.

  • "What a unique and wonderful place to stay - thank you!"

!! You have thought of everything and that made our break all the more enjoyable- we hope to be back!!! I’m a keen gardener and would have loved to potter in garden, pull up some rogue weeds then sit back and relax and listen to the birds - would be amazing if there was a couple of sun beds/table chairs near the trampoline area in the sun! That said, if that was the case I probably wouldn’t have moved all holiday

  • "A fantastic place to stay that is full of character."

The pool room is a fantastic addition and kept us all entertained. This is a place with everything you need for a great holiday. Lots of seating areas, everything you need in the kitchen and a lovely garden. The pub, nearly next door, is great and has a lovely enclosed garden.

  • "A wonderful place to stay, it was lovely and clean and our children loved all the toys!"

The games room was amazing, such a great addition to a beautiful home. The only recommendations we have is the size of the fridge, it’s a bit small and there is plenty of room for a much larger one or second fridge/wine fridge. Also a highchair would have been good, the seat one provided wasn’t ideal for a baby. Thank you, your home is stunning!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. So glad to hear you had a wonderful time. We have taken your comments and provided a high chair with a tray and also planning to get a second fridge installed in the kitchen Property Owner

About the location

SNETTISHAM

Heacham 3 miles; Royal Sandringham 4 miles; Hunstanton 5 miles.

Snettisham is a traditional Norfolk village, with many of its houses built from the local iron-rich carr stone, which has an attractive golden-brown colouring. Due to this, the buildings are known locally as “gingerbread houses”. Village amenities include general stores, a Post Office, 2 inns, a bistro and a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside resort of Hunstanton and historic King’s Lynn. The church of St Mary sits alone on top of the hill and is certainly worthy of a look inside at the exquisitely decorated tracery flowers on the west window. There is an RSPB bird sanctuary close to the beach, which is three miles away, and the ancient Peddars Way public footpath runs near to the village. Park Farm is on the edge of the village, and is a working farm with year-round activities for all the family, including a 45-minute “deer safari” and the chance to feed some of the animals. The Royal Estate of Sandringham, whose impressive house, gardens and church are open to the public, is nearby, as are the plant farm, tea rooms and gift shop at Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm.
