  • "Had such an amazing week at 30 Burtons Mill."

The property is excellently maintained. We had a problem with the TV but after speaking with the owner who managed to get a chap out early the following day, all was well. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Being able to sit on the front in the sunshine after a “long day on the beach” was an added bonus. We have stayed in this area previously and decided to return as it’s perfectly situated with being close to a friendly pub (The Swan) which serve good food and outside pods which can be reserved. Tesco is on the doorstep. Sea Palling is only a short drive away and our favourite beach with only a five minute walk from the car park (short cut over the dunes from the furthest away car park and parking as far away from the entrance) where youll find lots of vacated beautiful soft sand to play ball games and shallow waters if you fancy a swim as we did. The lady next door told us about a Groupon offer for Simpsons boatyard (literally just around the corner) which we took up. Roughly half price 2 hour electric boat hire. Of course fabulous weather can make or break your holiday but we had wall to wall sunshine every day!!!If I have one issue it is the road noise but other than that it’s top marks out of all the properties we’ve stayed in over the years in and around the area. Thank you.

Thankyou for your lovely feedback I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay The weather was amazing for you Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic stay at burton mill."

We were here for my dads 80th birthday and couldn’t have picked a better house. Really clean and comfortable all facilities spot on. Just one suggestion if possible i would suggest putting a gate on the front as all the sun is there and would have been nice to just let the dogs roam around with us sitting in the sun. All in all best place we have stayed at.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, and thanks for the suggestion of a front gate. We have been toying with the idea, however now a guest has suggested it we will look into it as a winter project! Thank you for your feed back, it helps us make out guests' experience much more special Property Owner

  • "A really good property that was accurately described and made for a great stay."

While I wasn't sure how the table and chairs in the front garden would work out, we were pleasantly surprised to find it’s actually very discreet as the house is at the end Burton Mills with no passing foot traffic. Clever use of laurel means you get privacy without loss of sunshine. It was also our first time using Sykes for a holiday rental and everything went very smoothly from booking to arrival. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in the north east Norfolk area. Town has supermarket, butchers, cafe and pub and a very popular fish and chip takeaway (queues on a Friday, so get there in plenty of time!). The back garden is largely in shade, but it proved a good place to store our bikes (you might want to bring a padlock to make the back gate extra secure). The property does back on to the A149, but the traffic noise did not concern us unduly. Great location, smart, well-presented home.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We will definitely look into providing a padlock for guests to use whilst staying at 30 Burton Mill, thanks for the suggestion. Property Owner

  • "Great roomy property well presented exceptionally clean and near to lovely dog friendly pub (the Swan) and a big Tescos for all those essentials."

We took our Greyhound and the yard was well fenced in and functional if maybe a little dull, but there is a table set up out front if you want a more pleasant view in the sunshine.. Our only negative really was no matches which when we had a powercut due to the storm, we couldn't light the gas cooker to boil some water! Wouid definitely recommend this place and may well be back ourselves as we had a great time.

Sorry for the delay in replying, feed back is always important to us and we appreciate you taking your time to help. Over the winter we have painted the back yard, and hope that it is now brighter. I am sorry you have had bad weather during your stay, and we have made sure we now leave a lighter in the kitchen. • "This property is in a good location for exploring the Broads or the coast."

It's within walking distance to the boat hire companies, (Simpsons provide daily boat hire.) The pubs and shops are within easy walking distance, The Swan Inn has a lovely varied menu and the food served is excellent. The property is well furnished and very comfortable and nicely decorated throughout. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The front of the house is a suntrap it has a nice patio set which lovely to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine, it is shielded by a well kept hedge. We only have two little 'gripes' the shower door in the en-suite could do with some slight adjustments as it's tricky to open. The downstairs toilet needs looking at regarding the smell from the drain. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property.

Sorry for the delay in replying, feed back is always important to us and we appreciate you taking your time to help. We have replaced the shower door in the en-suite and have investigated the smell from the cloakroom over the winter. We appreciate your comments as it helps us improve our guests experience, thank you. Property Owner

  • "This cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the area being only a 15 minute drive away from the beach at Sea Palling and within easy reach of places of interest both to the North and South and inland to the Norfolk Broads."

Shops and pubs are just a short walk away in Stalham village and acces to boat hire companies for self drive trips onto the Broads are all very local. The cottage itself was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, dog friendly with a secure yard to the rear and benefitted from two bathrooms on the first floor, one of which is en-suite and a separate WC on the ground floor, which was all very convenient. The new owner, Sue, who is also new to holiday letting welcomed some very minor improvement suggestions we put to her and thanked us for bringing them to her attention. Always good to have owners who care about their guests. All in all a very pleasurable experience which I can thoroughly recommend.

Thank you for the detailed review. We really appreciate your feedback and have actioned your suggestions. It is very important to us that people have a home from home experience, and pleasurable visit to 30 Burtons Mill. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, thanks again. Property Owner

  • "The house is clean and tidy."

It is ideal for people who like boating and water activities. Issues: had to repair the on suite shower screen to use it on the first night. Had to refit the towel hanger, in a he toilet down stairs. The property backs to the main road, when you open the bedroom windows, a lot of traffic nose at night. Overall nice place to stay.

Thanks for the kind review, however we are sorry that you had a few issues with the shower screen and towel rail during your stay, We have since looked at these and hopefully rectified the problem. Property Owner
