  • "The property has everything you need for a short break."

Very quiet area with some lovely walks. It was very windy while we were here but it didn’t stop us getting out and about. The chalet was lovely and warm and so quiet. For us it was a little awkward parking the car away and needing to walk over wet grass with our cases etc to get to the property but once in the property we were very comfortable. The owners were very helpful during our stay and left us a welcome pack which was very much appreciated after our six hour drive. I would recommend the property to anyone wanting a break away from the bustle, great value for money.

The chalet itself was well equipped, spotlessly clean and cosy. The owners left a welcome pack which was appreciated, even some treats for our four-legged friends. The beach (dog friendly), shops, pubs and cafés are about a 10-minute walk. There is a lovely pub in the village and the pub garden overlooks the beach. We had a lovely time and would return.

My husband managed to mend the door handle, using a knife as a screwdriver! But as far as housekeeping knew we were unable to use the shower! Other than that it was very comfortable and cosy so quite disappointed that they didn't respond

Thank you for your feedback, we are disappointed that the shower handle had worked loose, and we would like to thank your husband for mending it. We have contacted you personally to apologise for the lack of response by the housekeeper, which is unusual as she is normally very attentive. We are pleased that you enjoyed the rest of your stay and found the chalet very comfortable. Property Owner

  • "Whilst the accommodation had extensive facilities and your communication was excellent, the site was not what I would call a holiday park."

It stated it would be child free which it wasn’t. Also the ‘park’ was sold to us as dog friendly but was dog tolerant at best, although the accommodation was dog friendly. The other chalets were owned and the residents looked at us disapprovingly whilst sitting outside. We were approached and told dogs had to be on leads and tied up when outside. We were made to feel extremely uncomfortable, so sat inside. I also wasn’t impressed that we had to split our household waste from food and bottles and take them to the village to dispose of. So, for me, this wasn’t a holiday park it was more like chalets in a square and if you just happen to go behind the chalets you would be challenged.. description needs changing and a list of dos and donts needs to be listed. Had I have known what I experienced I most certainly would not have booked it and the price for 3 nights was ridiculously expensive for what we experienced. Most certainly not worth it I’m afraid.

Thank you for your review, however I am disappointed to learn of your experience at Seaward Crest. Seaward Crest is a chalet park for holiday makers, all of which are privately owned and I am sorry that some owner/s made you feel unwelcome. No other guests have commented on this. The description of the property clearly states “the holiday park is quiet and offers extensive grassland, ideal for children to play”, therefore we don’t understand where the child free comes from. The chalet park is dog friendly, although as correctly stated dogs do need to be on a lead, I will change this in the description, however the beach nearby is dog friendly. With regards to household waste, all glass bottles do need to go to the recycling bins in the village, the local authority do not offer recycling collections. Property Owner

Lots of dust under beds, furniture etc, Found a pair of dirty socks under the sofa. Dirty grill pen found in oven. My parents had limited mobility and there is a walk from the car to the chalet. Well equipped, comfortable and peaceful.

Thank you for your review, I cannot apologise enough for the shortfall in cleaning that you experienced. We hire a professional cleaning company to service the chalet and I shall be taking up the issues with them. I am surprised by the level of dust you have noted and shall be visiting the property to carry out a full inspection on the next changeover day and ensure the issues are rectified. Property Owner

  • "A pleasant chalet in a quiet holiday park."

Well located within acceptable walking distance of the beach. The lack of a footpath to the chalet was inconvenient requiring a walk over uncut grass with heavy bags. Wellies required if it rains! The shower was very small and there was no mirror in front of the wash basin. The chalet was well stocked with equipment with fresh milk in the fridge and welcoming tea and coffee.
