  • "Property as described, comfortable, nice location and lovely views outside with the lake and wildlife."

Decent outdoor footwear was needed beyond fenced patio area due to wet ground this trip.

Great tip about footwear, thank you. There is also a walk along the disused train track (Weavers' Way) for spotting more wildlife or just for a stroll and so walking boots are really useful. So pleased you enjoyed the views - the swans and goslings are having a lovely time wandering around at the moment :-). Property Owner

No10 is a little dated to the others on site the shower needs update and settees uncomfortable overall had a nice stay and would recommend the cottages this is our second stay but not in no10

We are pleased that you had a nice stay. The cottage commands a beautiful position on the site - 'idyllic' in the words of several guests. We are sorry to read your other comments. Just to assure other visitors - the beds, settees and TV are quite new and modern and are true to the pictures on the website. We also have one of the best WiFi speeds available at the cottages so that watching internet TV is possible. We have invested in making sure that our overall clean and presentation is to a high level (10/10 for cleanliness and comfort rating from the most recent guest prior to yourselves). We also took care to turn the heating on before your arrival and to leave a nice selection of goodies for you, as we do for all our guests. We are glad that you will return to the cottages for a future visit - they are all lovely. Property Owner

  • "The property was comfortable and well-equipped."

The weather was changeable during our stay, it was nice to stay indoors to relax and enjoy the view whilst it was raining. There are plenty of interesting places to visit in easy travelling distance.

  • "The location was ìdeal."

An east anglia idyll, quiet apart from owls, ducks and coots. The wildlife pond, a little overgrown for fishing had swans and the occasional grass snake and dragonflies to interest visitors. The house itself was comfortable, clean and had all necessary equipment for catering. Our only criticism was the bathroom being very small and the shower cubicle very restrictive. Anyone of a robust build would find it too restrictive for comfort. The house is ideally placed for touring with a number of beautiful beaches within a few miles. Wroxham and other broads readily accessible For visitors who like a day on the water. All in all very good.

  • "No information about the road being closed, and this may take many months to be sorted."

Owners were not available to contact when we couldn’t find the cottage. Shower drain hadn’t been cleaned out for sometime, disgusting. It was very dusty, dreadful dust under radiators, it was over sometime, radiators haven’t been cleaned in sometime. Outside by the door not cleaned and cobwebs all around the door entrance. Drive entrance needs to be restored large pot whole, caught my car on the drop. Need signage on both sides of the entrance. Have photographic evidence of these issues. Photograph on your site, details doesn’t show the rear of the property as it now looks

Thank you for your comments. The road to the property is in use and it may be that other roads in the area have some closures outside of my control, but google maps directions would of course show any current rerouting in the area. Sykes have a dedicated helpline for any guests in properties for their arrival day, their contact number is given out pre arrival for all guests on our property information sent 6 weeks before arrival and I can see that they spoke to you just before your arrival regarding navigating the local roads and that a local person also assisted you. We do not have any potholes but we do have a gravel driveway and the rear of the property should still look as it did on the photos, albeit allowing for a change of seasonal foliage in the area. If the parasol is not out at the time, information at the property is given regarding its location. We do take great pride in the property and having seen a previous good unpublished review from a summer guest about how nice the property was, I can reassure guests that this oversight is unusual for the property and it will be back immediately to its high standard. I have of course spoken to the cleaning company regarding the oversights you have mentioned, apologies for this, thank you for letting me know and I am amending the changeover protocol to ensure that this doesn't happen again. We would have been only too happy to remedy any concern you had during your stay if Sykes had been advsied of any concerns and I'm sorry that we were not given the opportunity to do so at the time.
