• "Holly Cottage is delightful - compact, but feeling spacious, quite minimally furnished and stocked, but somehow providing everything needed."

  It's in a lovely little row of cottages within a 2 minute walk of everything needed; shop, cafe, chippy, pub, beach. There's even a large amount of private parking. Highly recommended for a relaxing break at any time of year.

• "Excellent location, with on site parking."

  Decent sized bedroom with a king-size bed. Dog friendly, with a small enclosed garden. Only a short walk to the beach. Had everything anyone could need, including wi-fi. Would definitely recommend and will book again.

• "We had a lovely week in Holly Cottage, Sea Palling."

  The cottage is lovely and in a really good location for visiting all the beaches and National Trust properties in the area. The garden is a real bonus if you have dogs, it is well enclosed and secure.

  Completed wonderful circular walk from Sea Palling via beach to Eccles and returned via lanes. Visited Horsey beach with loads of seals. Highly recommend cottage and area.

• "Customer Review."

  There was a profusion of weeds in the front garden(5 feet high) and in general outside. More cutlery would have been useful and a dishwasher preferable to a washer.

  Thank you for your time in leaving a review. In response to your comments : The cottage is equipped with crockery and cutlery for four people although it only sleeps two. As Holly Cottage is small, when recently redesigning and fitting the new Kitchen, we did not feel a dishwasher was a necessity for two people. With regard to the towering weeds to the front - The cottage is surrounded by a water gully that runs along the side and then along the front of the cottages in this row, hence the bridges over this to the cottages and extra fencing to keep this part separate and safe. There are reeds and wild flowers that fill this area and naturally disperses during the Winter months. This actually gives extra privacy to our guests through the busier Summer Season. We clean and manage the cottages ourselves to make sure cleanliness and maintenance is to a very high standard and tend to the garden too on the day of the changeovers. Holly Cottage's garden provides a very private, enclosed garden for our guests incorporating a lawned area and regularly watered flowers and plants pots. We do hope all the points you have raised did not affect your stay too much and that you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

• "We really enjoyed our time at Holly Cottage."

  It was better than expected and the cleanliness was superb. We loved the treats for our dog, made her feel very welcomed. In such a great location, so close to the beach and the broads. We had a fantastic stay and we would love to come back again!! Also thank you for the bottle of Prosecco and crisps! We had a little issue on the first day which was promptly responded to and sorted. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage. A memorable stay.

• "A lovely cottage."

  Clean, well equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. One of the best we have stayed in. We chose a chilly week in April but we were warm and cosy in the cottage. Excellent location just a minute or two from the beach. We were especially impressed by the hundreds of seals on the beach just down the coast. Well located for visiting local attractions .

• "This was an ideal cottage for our stay."

  Close to the beach and simply miles of walks which our labrador loved! Holly Cottage is cosy and comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The log burner adds extra comfort in the evenings as you rest and relax. The bed is very comfortable and we both slept really well- so did the dog! Within a short driving distance there are pubs, cafés and restaurants providing a wide choice of eating to suit your taste and budget. In short, this is a first-class cottage which we highly recommend.

• "Holly cottage is one of the best holiday lets we’ve stayed in."

  The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. It’s done out to a very high standard and is very comfortable home from home feel. Gifts left from the owners was a lovely thought and most appreciated. Would recommend Holly Cottage for a lovely break, so near a beautiful beach and shop cafe pub fish and chip shop on the door step. Safe garden for our dog so no worries about him getting out. Would highly recommend this cottage and would love to stay again.

• "A very clean and comfortable cottage."

  Perfect for a dog, although the stairs are a bit tricky for large dogs. If like me, you are a little unsteady on your legs, you do need to be careful. The wood burner is brilliant. Everything you might need for an enjoyable stay is provided. A local shop that sells just about everything, a cafe with great service. My Labrador loved the long walks on the beaches, we just had to call in the cafe for hot chocolate (for me!) and a Sausage (for my dog!!!) after a long walk, every day! Jane & John, the owners, are very friendly and helpful.

• "What a fabulous cottage!"

  Probably the best holiday-let we've ever stayed in. Small but perfectly-formed. Great quality fixtures and fittings. We slept beautifully every night. The location is great if you want to take your dog straight to a nice, clean sandy beach. The pub in between the cottage and the beach is OK.. but there are nicer pubs a short drive away. Lots to do in the area and if we weren't the sort of people to try different places every holiday, we'd happily return. Thank you for having us!

  It was such a lovely touch with the wine, and snacks, and items provided in the kitchen and bathroom. Instructions perfect,and thank you for letting us know the property was available early . On a personal note we found the pillows one was too low, and both [2] too high .

  The owners are lovely. You can hear the sea from the garden, and walk to the beach within 5 minutes. Resident parking behind the cottage. Many great places to eat nearby. There are so many places to visit by car, far too many to list. Visit the Broads, ride a steam train, boat trip to watch the seals. Dogs are welcome everywhere. It was a magical week.

• "As noted in your guest book, our stay was perfect and we will definately be coming back."

  Looking forward to a wintery break so we can use the log burner after walking on the beach. As a personal preference I'd say the pillows are a bit flat and lifeless, but I assure you this only stood out because everything else was brilliant. Thankyou.

• "A very clean and well equipped cottage, parking at the rear of the cottage was very accessible."

  Lots of places to visit in the local area, if you have a dog or enjoy walking the Norfolk coast walk is on the doorstep. The wildlife in this area is spectacular especially seeing the seals in their vast numbers on the beach or bobbing around in the sea.
