The weather was kind so we were able to sit out in the beautiful gardens, so peaceful. The property had such charm & all we needed, to be ultra comfortable & it was spotlessly clean. Bacton ideal for visiting the surrounding areas. Beaches WOW!

The welcome pack and facilities were excellent. All needs were catered for. Highly recommended.

Many thanks for your feedback it is really much appreciated as we closed the house for 5 weeks to refurbish and re-thatch .At this time of year we wanted to ensure it was comfy and welcoming in case the weather was typically British ! Property Owner

  • "The upstairs bathroom was not user friendly for adults ."

Upstairs shower only really useful for children and even then we felt water splash was damaging to paintwork. Bathrobes would be useful for the downstairs shower. Games room and equipment 6/10 Overall though an excellent place to stay.

  • "Lovely house with beautiful gardens, great for a family stay."

Being a period property it does have quirks such as low doors which can catch you out, however, this added to the charm. The property manager was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to going back again.

House and gardens were even better than the listing suggested and the beds were extremely comfortable.

  • "Beautiful house, well equipped, beautiful garden, quiet location and comfy beds but badly let down by maintenance and cleanliness - disappointed to have soaking wet sofas, wobbly toilet seats, wobbly taps, holes in floors to old staircases (extremely dangerous) cobwebs and dirty areas."

Such a shame as such a beautiful house. We're not the first to flag up some these issues and they are not being rectified - the cleaning of the sofas obviously was but left us with soaking wet seating for most of our holiday.

  • "The only complaints we had were these The upstairs bathroom shower could not be used as the edge of the bath had not been sealed."

The one time we did use it we ended up with a flood in the dining room The downstairs bathroom toilet seat was falling off The single bedroom had a leak through the ceiling The settees in the lounge were filthy they need a good clean or replacing Although the kitchen was well appointed but there were no oven gloves Apart from these niggles the house and garden were wonderful, unfortunately it rained virtually all week so we were unable to make the most of the garden. We did however use the games room a lot. We were a party of six , grandparents, daughter and husband and two children aged 9and 7.

  • "On the whole to property was as described but I would like to mention that the settee’s in the lounge were very dirty & need replacing."

There was also an unpleasant smell in the lounge probably from years of fires but the dirty settee’s would most likely contributed. The handle on the front door is dangerous as it’s so close to the metal door seal, I scraped my fingers badly several times!

The house had everything we needed and the children loved playing in the very large garden. A trip to the Ship inn in nearby Mundesley is well worth a visit.

  • "We were very disappointed when we arrived as it looked like someone had been in and not had a thought for us as guests."

The place was not left as it should have been. When we arrived we noticed the following: 1. The toilet upstairs had dried on faeces in the pan. 2. The super king size bed had not been made up and this room also had no towels. We managed to find some bedding and had to make it up ourselves 3 there was a used tea bag in the sink 4 no welcome pack or milk as stated we would get on the booking info. 5 light bulbs left on top of unit. 6 the dishwasher had not been emptied before we arrived. I got in touch with Marisol Kane of lily white property management and she was very apologetic and sent someone round to clean and sort out the issues. Who then came in the next day (we think) to clean the floors. We then had a really great time in the house, using the game room, garden and house for all we needed and continued on with no complaints, until we left. My friend was staying in the single room at the end of the landing. She woke to the sound of dripping and on wondering where it was coming from discovered that rain water was leaking through the ceiling by the door and radiator, she had to get a pan to collect water but unfortunately it had dripped all over her suitcase and towels, leaving her with very little clean clothing that wasn’t wet!!! On going downstairs we turned on the dining room lights , these were flickering so we’re swiftly turned off. Again I got in touch with Marisol whose response was”oh dear, thanks for letting me know I’ll pass that on to the owner” no apology! I find this totally unacceptable and disappointing as she was so good at sorting us out when we arrived. I do want to add that we had a great time, and would stay again but as paying guests our expectation was that the property would have been left in the same condition as you would expect us to leave it, clean and tidy, but this was not the case, we believe as the owner it is ultimately your responsibility to adhere to a high standard. We would please welcome your comments about the feedback we have provided.

The house had such character and space and well situated - handy for beach, chip shop, chinese and other cafes. Found some difficulty operating TV but got on ok after a while. Great weather meant did not want to sit watching TV anyway, rather boules in the spacious garden. Would definitely like to return.

The Garden is so a great feature especially with young children it is safe and in the right weather the perfect sun trap. The house is very comfortable with enough space for us all to eat together and play games or watch a movie (there are lots of games, books jigsaws and movies at the house perfect for kids age 3 to 93 so there is no need to pack the play room. The games room was a hit with the kids and the grown ups alike. Everything you needed in the kitchen, beds were comfortable, lots of space it was perfect.

Very well equipped and the BBQ was a great success. The property is only a few minutes walk from the beach & so lovely to sit out in the well maintained garden. Minor issue with upstairs bathroom not having the shower attachment installed which was resolved same day as reported (thanks). Really enjoyed our stay.

  • "Lovely house with great character in a superb location."

Large rooms and large gardens and well equipped for a long stay with dishwasher, washing machine, ample crockery, glassware and pans. Walking distance from the beach, a shop, 3 take aways and a children's playgrounds. Only issue was maintenance, particularly the grounds, the guide states a gardener visits every week but this didn't happen. With very overgrown grass, thistles, nettles,, and timber benches and pergola in such poor condition they were unusable, the garden looked quite neglected.

Good afternoon I am sorry to hear your comments and happy to discuss further. You are right that the garden was not as hoped but recent weather and torrential rain meant we were unable to mow and prepare as planned and in fact the gardening team did not go in until this Wednesday . All the garden furniture will not be put out until the end of this month . We try and cater for guests own requirements and as far as I am aware this booking was for 4 adults and 3 teenagers and not any children . We also supplied contact details for help within the village so that any problems can be rectified as quickly as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact me Property Owner
