"Lovely cottage."
Looked bigger on the website photos, but actually more than enough space for 4 of us! Buckets, spades and beach games in garden hamper are a nice touch. The wood burner in the lounge laid ready for lighting, but weather too mild to light it! Lovely place, would highly recommend. Very dark village though, a dearth of streetlights

"The cottage was well situated and cosy and warm."
We enjoyed our week very much. The kitchen was well equipped although we did eat out mostly but had our breakfast in the cottage every morning. We did have the cold and snowy week!! But were delighted with the heating system. Turned dial to 15° when back and the cottage was cosy and warm within minutes. Very satisfactory!! All in all the cottage was well presented, clean and tidy throughout. Thank-you Clare and Jonathan
Glad you enjoyed our cosy cottage. You certainly had an interesting week of weather . ⛄️ thanks C & J x Property Owner

"Lovely cosy cottage with lots of character."
Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Ideal location for exploring north Norfolk, especially for bird lovers as it's within easy reach of RSPB Snettisham and RSPB Titchwell. Well recommended.
-
"Excellent ."
The cottage is warm and cosy with everything you need for a lovely stay. The whole property is beautifully presented. The welcome pack was a nice addition. Please leave a vacuum cleaner/ broom in the cottage, I like to leave a property as we found it ! 9 am is very early as a departure time, another hour would have been appreciated! Clare thank you for your hospitality...we loved it.
Glad you enjoyed your stay, there is a hoover and brush in the cupboard in hall however I will put a note on the door to inform guests. We have changed from 10am to 9am as quite a number of guest we’re leaving later than 10. This then means we are late starting the clean for the next guests. We will however let guests stay later when there is no one in on the same day. Thanks for your feedback, Claire Property Owner

We stayed here for 5 weeks and it was like a home from home. Clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. The owners are friendly and helpful. Heacham is great village with lots of local amenities too.

"Lovely cosy cottage providing everything you need for a home from home stay"
-
"This is one of the best cottages we've stayed in."
It felt warm and welcoming straight away. Lovely welcome pack which was so nice after a long drive..The cottage is well thought out and is very well equipped. Extremely clean. The decor is lovely and really suits the property. The beds are very comfortable and we slept so well. Very quiet area. It has sensible check in/ out times. Which meant we could use our first afternoon to start exploring the area. The area has great bus service which we used to walk the coastal path. There's a great pub close by that brews its own beer and does good food. We had a great holiday and would definitely go back again.
-
"Extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage in a great location for exploring the surrounding area."
The owner was very helpful and left a very generous welcome pack which was there when we arrived.
-

-
"The owner Claire has a lovely cottage suitable for adults & children in a nice location."
Beach, shop & takeaways all within 5 to 15 minutes walk & Lidl supermarket a short drive. Due to Covid 19 no property information or brochures were available so Claire sent info through WhatsApp. We would definitely like to return here.
-
"A really nicely decorated cottage in the heart of Heacham."
Host easy to contact and quick to respond. We had a great stay and would use again.
-
"Driftwood Cottage was lovely and we felt at home as soon as we got there."
It was very welcoming. We were really impressed with the quality and attention to detail that the owners had shown with the decor and furnishings. Even though they couldn't leave out any brochures or books etc because of Covid, they sent us information about places to eat and visit and made sure we had all we needed. It was quiet and peaceful but close to local shops and places to eat. We were just a couple but I would thoroughly recommend Driftwood Cottage to anyone and we would certainly go again.
-
"We enjoyed our stay at the delightful Driftwood cottage, Heacham."
The cottage has all the facilities you need to be comfortable and cosy, with a lovely coastal themed decor. The cottage is close to the beach for walks and the village has a small Tesco and fish and chip shop. We found it to be a great base for exploring the coastal villages of Wells, Sheringham, Cromer and Hunstanton. We looked forward ,after a busy day exploring , to spending a relaxing evening in such a beautifully presented and maintained home. The owner is lovely and friendly and happy to be of help. We were sad to leave such a lovely, inviting place and we hope to return.
-
"Yes, we had a lovely time in this very cosy cottage, so close to the beach and perfect for our needs."
We very much enjoyed the coastal path walks and the area in general.

Really nice comfortable Cottage Well equiped & located in a the centre of the village close to facilities Would recommend
-
"The cottage was thoughtfully decorated to create a seaside atmosphere and had all the facilities we needed."
Everything functioned well and was ideal for a family of four including 2 teenagers who could have their own rooms. An extra couple of fans would be useful for the bedrooms as it was very hot when we were there. Thankfully we’d brought our own. Overall a lovely place to stay.
-
"I have already sent feedback for this cottage."
A fabulous little cottage and we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you.
-
"What can we say."
We had an amazing stay at Driftwood. Heacham is a cute little village and this cottage is right in the center. An amazing base to explore the North Norfolk coast from and its about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach with beautiful sunsets. The cottage itself is so comfortable with great facilities. We cooked and BBQed there and didn't lack for anything. Would highly, highly recommend and would stay there again!
-
"A beautifully presented and well equipped property close to the centre of the village and it’s amenities."
We will definitely endeavour to stay there again. Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus situation all the local attractions were closed by the time we arrived. We picked up on some local hostility towards visitors due to the health situation and, with respect to the concerns of the local community and the prospect of an imminent national lockdown, we cut our holiday short after only two days. In the event the PM announced restrictions on movement and non essential travel within 24 hours of our arriving home. A little support and advice from Sykes with respect to whether to travel at all and possible refunds (there were none) would have been most appreciated in these difficult times.
-
"We had a lovely weekend away here."
The cottage was really cosy and clean and it was in a great location for the beach.
-
"Totally fantastic cottage and will try to go again in the future."
It had everything we needed and lots of things we didn't expect. Fully quipped kitchen, lots of games and films for the children. Clear instructions for operating the various features in the house and wonderful welcome basket of goodies. Our Children usually struggle with a change of environment but they treated this cottage like our own home and we had a wonderful time (Even considering the terrible weather we had!) Thanks!
-
"Struggled with the cooker no instructions signs been wiped off dials"
Thank you for your feedback. This is really important to us in order to help us make any necessary improvements that will benefit both our current and future customers. There are now instructions on how to use the cooker. We hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

"There was gas pipe work going on while we were there."
The main street down to The Drift was closed off for three days. Luckily the company doing the work left a map of the roads around the Drift otherwise we would have been struggling to find a way in and out of the road. I don't think it was anyone's fault particularly but it would have been helpful if the cottage's owners had warned us beforehand: we might have changed the dates to make life easier for us ( I am coming up to 80 and unforeseen events aren't as easy to manage as they once were.) Apart from that the cottage was warm, well-equipped and well-maintained but I would prefer a cottage with a bit more space around it and a bit more of a parking area - no way could you fit 2 cars in front of the house.
-
"Fabulous cottage in lovely village, every need catered for and welcome pack with wine, tea, coffee, sugar was very well received!"
would definitely book again if in the area
-
"A wonderful cottage which was so welcoming."
The basket of goodies on arrival was a real treat. The owners could not have done more to make the stay a success. A great beach and loads of amenities on your doorstep, we didn’t need to use the car at all.
-
"This lovely cottage is down a quiet lane in the village of Heacham and provided a great base for exploring North Norfolk."
The owners have made sure the house is very clean and comfortable and there's a good selection of board games, jigsaws and DVDs provided should you find yourself stuck indoors on a rainy day. we were very lucky with the weather so were able to take advantage of the garden area which is well set up with a bench, dining furniture for 6 and a barbecue. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation
-
"This was my second visit to Driftwood Cottage."
Perfect place to stay, everything you need and more is in the cottage you've very well catered for. Great location, quite village, close to the beach and the locals are all friendly. I'm sure I'll be back for a third time as there is still plenty to see and do in that part of Norfolk.
-
"We spent another fantastic family holiday at this cottage."
Warm, welcoming and clean. The children loved watching the dvds and playing with the board games at the cottage. It was great to be able to visit family nearby. Highly recommend the fish and chips, less than 5 mins walk away. Also there is a tesco mini a short walk away which was really handy for last minute snacks and meals after a day exploring. Can't wait to come back.
-
"Beautiful well equipped traditional Norfolk cottage."
Everything you could need was available. Quiet location if you wanted a peaceful break. The gravel road to the property isn't the easiest to access if you had a big vehicle and the pull in parking isn't the biggest of off-road parking. Sometimes a motor bike and cars weren't always well parked at the end of the road. It would not put us off staying here again and would definitely recommend it. We love the North Norfolk area having stopped here on many occasions.
-
"Lovely cottage, wonderful area to visit."
-
"What a gem!"
This thoroughly lovely cottage manages to be both modern and cosy and was an ideal winter getaway. Beautifully decorated and furnished, with lots of comfy cushions and cosy blankets. Which, weren't really needed as the heating was fantastic, not to mention the lovely log burner. We visited the week before Christmas and arriving to find the cottage decorated with a tree, lights and little other festive touches made it really special. A pub with a micro brewery round the corner, fantastic farm shop at Norfolk Lavender (and butchers in the village) plus other great pubs nearby with a range of food and local ales on offer, meant we were spoiled for choice between eating in and going out. We did several walks - one from the house itself (to Hunstanton along the beach and on to Holme next the sea). The coastal hopper bus is very useful. If you have children, you'll love the selection of board games and mini table football. The 4-player connect 4 was good fun, even for two people! We absolutely loved our stay at 11, The Drift and highly recommend it to couples, friends and families alike.
-
"The cottage is a gorgeous property, very well equipped with plenty of delightful furnishings."
There was also a generous welcome pack waiting for us which was a lovely surprise. The owner also messaged us to make sure we had settled in ok which we felt was a nice touch. No complaints whatsoever, it was a perfect place to stay and would love to visit again.
-
"The cottage was amazing, clean, warm and a lovely homely feeling."
Spotless inside and a lovely welcome basket too! I would highly recommend it
-
"The cottage was a great find."
Beautifully decorated with so many personal touches. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return at some point.
-
"11 The Drift is a wonderful cottage, offering a good level of comfort with lovely decor."
A welcome hamper was well received, we were also impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage. Would highly recommend and stay again. The area has lots of activities to suit all the family. The fair & Sealife centre in Hunstanton was a big hit with the children, and so too was the animal park at Norfolk Lavender, Heacham. This is also a great place for gifts, plants and local food. A real delight is a visit to Drove Orchards farm, the shop has some wonderful local produce which is a must for everyone. Would highly recommend Eric's fish & chips, located next to Drove Farm shop. The beaches offer something for everyone, from lively seaside to tranquil escape & lots of wildlife.
-
"Immaculate holiday cottage with really comfortable accommodation."
Well equipped, the owners have provided everything you need for a great holiday. Super friendly village, only 15-20mins walk to the beach. Good location, near to Sandringham, many lovely beaches and quaint coastal villages. Would highly recommend.
