  • "Tiny small house, very very clean, (good job Lorraine) stairs could pose a challenge, but upstairs wonderful."

Lovely spacious large room, with a comfortable bed. Bathroom exceptional, lovely shower. Decor very smart in the whole house. Wonderful walks to the coast, and shops nearby. We would definetely return to Elderslie for a holiday in Hembsy.

  • "The pre-holiday info was good: the app was up to date & responses were speedy."

The internal accommodation was Covid safe and modern, tasteful & practical. The 'welcome' tray was high quality. The owner/manager had obviously 'gone the extra mile'.

  • "An excellent cottage, well decorated and furnished throughout close to the beach."

Only drawback was the stairs and lack of parking.

  • "Beautiful cottage."

Stairs are very steep indeed. Tried not to use them until bedtime. Cottage was cosy and had everything u need for a great holiday . The owners left a nice touch of mulled wine and chocs for our Christmas stay.

  • "Everything went to plan."

The cottage is very comfortable and very well appointed, with everything anyone could want for an enjoyable holiday. The accommodation was spotless and there were completely unexpected treats (cake and everything needed to have a cup of tea or coffee) waiting for us on our arrival. This was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We found the steep stairs a wee bit of a challenge, but we're both in our 70's and normally live in a bungalow so that's not surprising, and the lack of close parking is a minor inconvenience but the description of the cottage contained information about these issues so we were warned. Those points certainly did not spoil our holiday at all. The location of Elderslie is excellent as a base to explore north east Norfolk. I would recommend the cottage to anyone.

  • "Elderslie cottage is ideally located, with regard to visiting various attractions and places of interest."

One of our most memorable experiences, was Horsey Gap. ( about 8 miles ). Where we saw close to 300 seals sunning themselves on a half mile or so, length of beach. Quite an awe inspiring experience. Our holiday cottage was the perfect retreat, the cleanest and most comfortable accommodation we have stayed in to date, and with all the necessary amenities / facilities included, plus the little extras the owner left out for us, it helped make our stay in Hemsby a most memorable one.

  • "A beautiful cottage - due to it being a old cottage it has an amazing quaintness, but no parking so you have to park in another street."

There were no difficulties however in finding a space to park. The cottage is luxurious and cosy and is very clean and spacious . The stairs however are very steep so they would be difficult for any one with mobility issues. I would definitely recommend it !!

The furniture was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable and the sofa and chairs were sublime. Everything was so clean and tidy. Everything was of a very very high standard. The garden was lovely to sit out in and big enough for a bar-b-q and the dog to wonder around.I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.

  • "Elders lie is a typical Norfolk cottage."

It has been refurbished to a high level. The fixtures and fittings are of a high quality. Higher than I expected. It is located in Hemsby village not the holiday part which was great as it was bank holiday weekend when we arrived and the holiday village was noisy.

  • "The owner was very helpful and on hand to help if there were any issues."

The property was exceptionally clean on arrival, it was a lovely cosy cottage with thoughtful decorations and modern facilities, the owner really took the time to make you feel welcome. An enclosed garden was a massive bonus with the dog which he enjoyed thoroughly. The cottage is in an excellent location for the area with several local shops and several take away's within walking distance and on the coast it is almost centralized to all the areas sights and attractions to see. 10 out of 10
