Welcome pack well recieved, thanks. Lovely, relaxing area with friendly pubs.

  • "This is a lovely little cottage with everything you could possibly need."

It's situated in a beautiful village with an excellent pub just a few yards walk away. Shopping facilities a 10 minute drive but most importantly for us, it's no more than 20 minutes drive from a range of wildlife centres and the beach. The owner came promptly to fix an issue with the bath when required and there was a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Perfect!

  • "Ideal location for broads and coast."

Sweet characterful cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Modern heaters easy to use. Unfortunately the cottage has a large spider population and the patio was full of weeds so even if the weather had been better we wouldn't have wanted to sit out there (unless we weeded it ourselves!) We didn't find the cottage particularly comfortable, the dining chairs very hard, very small wardrobe in the main bedroom and no wardrobe, bedside table dressing table or drawers in the second double bedroom so nowhere to put anything, four wall hooks were supplied plus one on the door. Although only two of us, we needed to use both the rooms for health reasons (we are in our 70's). To make matters worse the very characterful cottage opposite has a security light flashing many times over night, straight through the very thin curtains so this disturbed our sleep. (Not the fault of the owner of course). Didn't like the absence of curtains or blinds in the kitchen and bathroom. However it is a very good location, lovely walks straight from the cottage.

Minor drop on a couple of scores - no curtains in bathroom leave you feeling slightly exposed, and there's no washing machine. Otherwise lovely.

  • "We had an enjoyable stay at Wallflower cottage and would recommend it to others."

Its location affords particularly good access to the beach/ coast. However, with a little more attention, the owners could make this an even better offer. For example, we holidayed during the hottest week of the year but on arrival, discovered a winter duvet on the main bed. The bedroom door also rubbed on the carpet and really needs to be planed on the bottom. The potato peeler was also a bit pants but that may have just been my dodgy fingers. General instructions left on the coffee table could be improved to make most of the property and the surrounding areas. (The WiFi was a bit patchy and didn't extend further than the sofa and I had to link the SMART TV into the internet to access YouTube, iPlayer, Amazon, etc.) The property was cleaned to a good standard but certain areas looked a little tired (flaking paint and walls where guests have rubbed against); which will undoubtedly be addressed in the off-season. As mentioned, parking is a little tight at the front of the property but this can't be helped. Overall, a really nice stay that has left us with some pleasant memories. Thank you.

We were staying over the Christmas week & this is the first time we have been away at this time of year when there has been no Christmas tree or lights, very very disappointing, we spent Christmas Eve looking for them which we found, if you are renting out over this period more effort is required other than a few sprigs of holly! Other than this the cottage had everything you required for a week away.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage in a nice quiet location."

Well equipped cottage but with no washing machine so a second set of towels would have been appreciated especially as there was only 2 of us and the cottage accommodates 5 people. The bed was really comfortable and rooms tastefully decorated. The shower was amazing although the water can be very hot like others have mentioned. The parking at the front is limited if you have a large car but it wasn’t a problem for us. The rear yard although very private is very misleading and much smaller than it looks on the pictures. However we had a wonderfully stay at Wallflower cottage and we would definitely recommend it. The welcome tray and flowers were a lovely touch.

The cottage is very comfortable and clean. It’s location is great for exploring North Norfolk. Plenty to see and do reasonably locally - a very dog friendly area. The cottage is small but was absolutely fine for three of us and our dog. Parking is limited to 1 car but within a short walk there are places to safely park if needed. The courtyard garden is small but nice, it has a picnic bench with an umbrella and a washing line. We would definitely stay at this cottage again!

  • "In a great location, newly refurbished to a high specification, very clean and lovely and light."

It is petite - though it has a huge bathroom! - but was fine for us as we are a family of three and we were out and about most of the time. I had taken some domestic/kitchen things with us, but didn't need most of them and the welcome basket was very handy as you can't check in until 4pm. I would definitely recommend Wallflower Cottage!

  • "Absolutely delightful cottage, in friendly village."

We had the most wonderful time. The cottage itself was ideal for us, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. There was nothing more we needed. The little courtyard garden was lovely to sit in with a glass of wine, on our return from our long walks, and there are so many beautiful walks from Hickling. A fantastic base. The greyhound, just up the road, was lovely local, friendly and offered great food, we actually ate there twice in one week, unheard of for us as we do like to try different places when we are away. The Ingram swan, for a night of find dining, and just a 10 minute drive away is also a must. A fantastic holiday. Feel so lucky to have found it.

  • "Beautiful cottage."

We loved Wallflower Cottage, it is stunning. It’s very clean, comfortable & looks like lovingly & recently restored, we had a lovely stay & would definitely like to return. We have stayed in quite a few Sykes cottages & this in our opinion, is one of the best, although we have never been disappointed. We visited Horsey, Happisburgh, Sea-Palling, Winterton-On-Sea, Cromer, & Wroxham… We know the area well as we have been several times before, the beaches are all stunning. It is truly one of my favourite things to sea the seals at Horsey. The Nelson at Horsey does lovely food, The Dunes cafe at Waxham barns does lovely breakfasts. We enjoyed The Greyhound (end of the lane) friendly, welcoming & good steaks. Very sad to leave to come home but we’ll be back.

  • "Very quaint cottage in a friendly, welcoming village setting that’s accessible to many local attractions and far afield ones too."

The cottage itself is relatively new, as immaculate inside with all the essentials to make your stay comfortable. The welcome basket of tea, coffee, sugar and milk was a nice touch in view there is no shop within the village and you’re unable to access the property until 4pm. At the front there is just about enough room for a car, although not ideal for a large vehicle. Back courtyard is small and paved but ideal for a small dog and/or toddlers (no BBQ facilities). Only criticism is that the extractor fan over the cooker makes a racket if the wind is up and in the dead of the night it becomes even more apparent. The local pub, The Greyhound serves excellent pub gastro food and the staff are exceedingly friendly, as are the locals. We ate there twice over the New Year and walked away thoroughly stuffed from just eating mains - No desserts, which is unheard of for our family

Tea, coffee sugar, milk and biscuits had been left for our arrival. Local pub, The greyhound is two minute walk, freindly staff and lovely food. We visited Sea-Palling which had a lovely beach. We walked from Sea Palling to Wexham, the sea lions were close to shore in Wexham. We took a boat ride around the Broads using Broad Tours. We had a lovely walk from Horsey Windpump to Horsey Gap and again the Sea Lions were so close. I would highly recommend the cottage as its spotless and so close to loads of things to do.
