"Such a lovely property and location with very helpful on site owner (Mags)."
So peaceful with views over a small lake. We loved watching deer, woodpeckers and moorhens wandering around the pond. We missed the kingfishers and heron but hope to catch them on a future occasion. There is plenty of room and extremely comfortable bed. We would have liked a small shelve somewhere in the shower as the floor is the only option for shower gel which is a small point from an outstanding location.

"Wow what a beautiful little lodge, everything you could wish for, the kitchen was well stocked just could have done with a tea towel and dish cloth."
The lounge was comfortable and the view out of the huge window of the lake was lovely. The bed was huge and so comfortable some mornings I did,nt want to get up and the shower in the bathroom was just what you needed after a day out walking. Would I come again YES

"We had a comfortable stay at the Lodge."
We have already spoken with the Owner Mags, regarding a few issues we had. This is an ideal location for exploring Norfolk.

"The property is lovely and it's a nice peaceful place to stay."
There is a view of the pond with wildlife that you can see from the lounge window of the Lodge. The Lodge is clean and comfortable. My partner and I had a relaxing stay from 13th to 19th September. The shower would benefit from a shelf or wire rack to put shampoo/toiletries on whilst showering, as you need to bend down whilst in the shower to pick up shower gel or shampoo etc as no shelf. The microwave is in a shared communal side room of the Lodge. The Lodge kitchen would benefit from a small microwave on the kitchen worktop. There is adequate space on the kitchen worktop to accommodate a small microwave. That's all that we can think of. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Our only criticism was that car parking was away from The Lodge for loading and unloading luggage, not easy in any way for disabled persons."

"Heath Priory was an holistic oasis."
If you want a variety of treatments then this can offer most. The Lodge was lovely, just as per the photos. It is set in about 3 to 4 acres with a variety of other accomodation options, about four Shepard huts, two or three treatment rooms, three or four apartments in the main House. A lovely lake to walk around. Obviously when the property is busy then other customers walk past your private south facing deck and the huge plate glass window overlooking the lake. This is not a lodge on its own. They offer a" hot tent" too sometimes!! We may have missed it in the introduction but the treatment offers could be made clearer for bookings. We would have taken advantage of them if we had known and perhaps stayed longer. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you Mags.

"Lovely place ,peaceful & tranquil."
The property hadn't recently been cleaned or checked before we arrived because everywhere had spiders and webs . They were all the long legged spiders we must of killed at least 30 in the place that we could reach but there was a lot more around that we couldn't. So disappointing because it was a great base to visit so many places whilst we were there but that definitely put us off using it again . If I had a bad phobia I wouldn't of stayed at all , we had to check everywhere everyday and night terrible really

It is all on one level. It is in a peaceful setting with other smaller lodges nearby but not intrusive. If you just want to relax and be at one with nature this place is ideal

"The Lodge at Hickling offers a charming retreat nestled amidst vast, tranquil grounds, called The Breathing Space its ideal for rest and relaxation."
It has an holistic vibe and a number of treatments are on offer if you choose. Situated overlooking a serene lake, it boasts abundant wildlife, including birds, rabbits, muntjac deer, and Grey Lag Geese, adding to its natural allure. The accommodation is generously proportioned and thoughtfully equipped, ensuring comfort and convenience, including reliable wifi access. Its prime location makes it an ideal base for exploring both the enchanting Broads and the picturesque coastline. With its peaceful ambiance and idyllic surroundings, The Lodge at Hickling beckons visitors to return time and again for a rejuvenating escape.

"Not sure I can add to previous reviews, certainly no negatives."
Only on our visit, (end of April) we were very lucky and fortunate to see a mother Muntjac deer and her fawn (No bigger than the pheasants) walking around the pond, and past the window. Delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge.

"Had an amazing time at the Lodge."
Spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. So well equipped. The view from the lounge offered a window into the wildlife on the lake. Very entertaining at times. Had Reiki and reflexology with an excellent therapist called Clyre. So enjoyed our stay here. Thank you Mags for sharing your tranquil space with us. Highly recommend

"An extremely well furnished and equipped, spacious cottage with a lovely outlook."
The owner is someone so friendly and helpful. Only problem is no local shops.
-
"Comfortable, roomy, extremely well furnished and very well equipped, holiday home for two, and the owner is one of the nicest people you could meet."
Every one very helpful.

"Unfortunately a repaired outside chair leg broke whilst I was sitting on it but it didn’t tip over."
Notified owner. It was very warm and sunny but no sunshade found at the property. Bedside lights a bit too dim for our elderly eyes to read by at night. A glass oven dish was greasy and oven racks could do with a clean but generally everything else was clean. 2 fridges and freezer available but no microwave (we didn’t need one though). The bathroom fixtures and fittings looked new and modern, shower lovely and plenty of hot water available. A fabulous property otherwise set in a grassy area with a pond and shepherd huts and small lodges dotted about but not overlooking us, so comfortable and peaceful with a shabby chic aura, would certainly recommend and would love to come back
-
"Very comfortable accommodation and a great way to escape the "Rat Race" for a while!"
Nice friendly reception on arrival and loads of places to visit in the lovely local area. Highly recommended!
-
"The accommodation was excellent as were the facilities and the location peaceful - even with the rain and wind we had at the beginning."
The view over the grounds and lake second to none. everyone very friendly and helpful. We would love to come again, and were sorry our break was rather short

"Beautiful setting, lovely lodge."
The hosts were so welcoming and friendly, letting us use the facilities if we wanted to. It was a good central position to visit lots of places of interest.
-
"Wonderful lodge very spacious and well kept , the bed was very comfortable and roomy."
Loved the picture window so much wildlife far more interesting than the tv. Was a little intrigued as to the reason for 2 refrigerators maybe a dishwasher would be of more use .

"It was a great holiday but wish it could have been a Saturday start"
-
"We received a very warm welcome from Gill and Jock and found the Lodge to be very comfortable and spacious and situated in a delightful garden where we saw an abundance of wild life."
A good village pub provided excellent food as did a great Indian Restaurant called The Planet Spice situated in a nearby village, great weather meant for us a perfect holiday. We will be back.x

"Had a great relaxing holiday in this lovely comfortable property."
The furnishings and bedding are excellent quality, the people that live there are friendly and nice, the garden and pond is great with lots of wildlife and extremely peaceful and the location is superb being only a few minutes from Hickling broad and nature reserve. "Lovely place to stay :)"

"Comfortaqble, relaxing lodge set in peaceful surroundings."
-
"The Lodge is lovely, clean and comfortable with everything you need although a microwave would have been handy."
The grounds were lovely, nice to sit and watch the wildlife from the picture window. The only thing for us was the bathroom, it was very awkward getting in and out of the shower as the door only opened about 15 inches, I was provided promptly with a safety mat which I was grateful for. But the main thing was the tiny toilet, its the size of an infant school toilet and was very uncomfortable especially the height.
Thank you for your comments, i do reaslise the shower is a little tight, we put a handrail on the wall as you come out to ensure safety. The toilet was put in by our builder, he did not say it was smaller than usual, i can look into that to see if we can have a larger one put in. I should have mentioned sorry, i must put in the info book that there is a mirocwave if you want to use one in the outside kitchenette next to the lodge. Property Owner

"A wonderful property in beautiful surroundings."
The lodge was unique and beautifully furnished, also very spacious for 2 people. Although we had problems with Wi-Fi initially it was very quickly rectified. Hopefully we will return to the Lodge again in the future. Would highly recommend.

"Beautiful lodge in a perfect setting."
Superbly kitted out and exceptionally comfortable. Mags and Paulina were great hosts. Would definitely recommend a stay.
-
"What a fantastic week despite the weather."
We watched a Kingfisher fishing in the lake from our lounge window most days and saw Marsh Harriers and Deer. So close to Hickling nature reserve where we saw Cranes, Barn Owls & Hen Harriers too. The Lodge was so warm and comfortable with lovely views that we had to force ourselves out to all the other wonderful places nearby. It was wonderful being able to access Complementary Therapies- I had Reflexology twice from Clyre, who was excellent. Thank you

"Absolutely beautiful place to stay - warm, cosy, and colourful, comfy massive bed."
The Lodge is in a field with a pond and a few little cabins dotted around. We had the field to ourselves - so lovely and peaceful. Friendly, helpful owners in the house nearby if you need advice. We loved it and didnt want to leave.
