  • "Good holiday!"

    Reviewed by Bob5.0Sep 2024

  • "Very quiet and nicely equipped, furnished to a very good standard."

Comfy beds, best I’ve slept in years. New blinds throughout as one previous guest was complaining. Enjoyed our stay here. Minor negative points: Shower a bit fiddly as comes off taps, but nice and hot and water flow good. The bracket comes off wall. Dont hesitate in booking. Offered good value.

  • "The windows all needed new blinds."

They were really unacceptable. Broken and didn’t provide any level of light reduction to help sleep. The shower was a bit dodgy, only a tap adaption not a real shower, very outdated. Fell off the fitting too. Unusual to not have a welcome pack, no milk etc in the house. Especially as it’s so remote from any shops etc. poor.

Hi, The blinds have now been replaced with Brand news ones, unfortunately the day after you left. We did have temporary Black out blinds up that when I came to let the Blind fitter in were up and functional that previous guests have had no issue with. The Shower is a standard mixer as many Bathrooms have and not at all outdated, you are literally the only person to have every said this. As you will have appreciated from the listing I am sure when you booked, you must have noticed the Cottage is in a quite peaceful Rural location but yet literally only 5 minute drive to Stalham and a large Tesco store. We provide Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Condiments, Loo Roll,Shower Gel, Shampoo & Conditioner the only thing we don't provide is Fresh Milk, which as well as the Tesco 5 minutes away is readily available from the Farm shop (open 8am to 8pm) that you will have drove past 2 or 3 minutes from the cottage. we understated that not everyone likes an idyllic quite peaceful country side location that's not next to a shopping centre, for this we can only apologise. • "Lovely cosy & comfortable property."

Surprised to find shampoo & conditioner plus shower gel. Tea/coffee/sugar was also provided. We had a problem with the front door key, phoned the owner & a locksmith was on the phone to me within the hour, problem solved. My daughter & myself had a really relaxing 10 days at this property & we would both not hesitate to recommend it.

  • "We were overcharged having seen other adjacent properties listed at nearly £200 cheaper at same time!"

! We didn’t sleep well as the bedrooms had tissue paper blinds that kept out no light at all….. this needs addressing urgently now clocks changed! The hot water is set way too hot and scalded friends Son when having shower, if you turn on tap downstairs to pour glass of water, as I did, he screamed!!! Would stay at neighbouring properties for price they charge but not here. Some sort of compensation required
