  • "We had a fantastic week."

The cottage was very clean & comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, cooking a roast for 8 was easy. With adequate seating to eat . We used the the tv room and played games in the conservatory, but the front room is a room you could relax in. The 2 showers and separate toilet ment there was never a queue. It's in walking distance of Lidal, QD, Sainsbury's and the town. Also a children's indoor play area with bowling is near by. A short drive to Cromer, the seals of Horsey is worth a visit you only pay for parking. We would definitely book again. In the summer the garden is ideal for children..

We very much enjoyed our stay at Croylands; a great location from which to travel and explore.

  • "Whilst the property is an old property and has a wonderful garden and nice spacious kitchen and is in a great location it is however not very clean and the carpets in both the front room and stairs/landing are need of replacing in my opinion - in addition the patio is not very well kept."

We had an issue with a light fitting during our stay which came down although this was fixed very quickly.Overall a lovely property which could be better with some investment in new carpets and some decoration.

  • "Lovely big cottage stayed with friends ."

Plenty of space for everyone great garden for our dogs to have a run about. If it had more mugs that's the only thing as there is lots of plates & dishes & only 8 mugs once in dish washer . You have to wait for another cuppa . A mirror in the bunk bed room too is the only thing I can think of we 7 adults enjoyed our stay very much.

  • "We use many cottages and we are currently finding the cleaning is substandard we had cobwebs in every room in the house."

My husband vacuumed every room on the walls etc. Only one bin bags for rubbish and the dishwasher had no rinse aid in it and no cleaning products to keep the house clean whilst there we had to buy cleaner rinse aid and had to descale the kettle. One light bulb was out in bathroom upstairs and a bulb out on extractor I’ve hob and light in utility didn’t come on at all. We had to fix the bed in second bedroom as it gad not been connected correctly and the lats kept falling out. We removed bedding and cleaned before we left and can guarantee it was in a much cleaner condition.

. kitchen needs extra cleaning furniture in the conservatory very uncomfortable .. ok for kids House was semi detached (not stated in description) and next doors tv was so loud .. I know we were only there for a week and they live there These comments are purely observations not complaints .. no issue with Sykes Diana

  • "We absolutely loved the house."

It was great to know a little of its history too. My dad felt that it was lacking smaller saucepans and a little welcome pack with a cloth, cleaning spray and washing liquid would be very welcome but that is us being picky. All rooms were very well equipped, sofas and beds really comfortable, decor tasteful, in-keeping with the house and homely and garden impressive and inviting. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back. Ele and Neil

  • "The property overall is exceptional, very spacious, lovely enclosed garden, comfortable furniture and beds, ideal location, sitting some 50 yards from the road, so quiet."

Cleanliness:- there were some cobwebs in the kitchen and fluff on the floor of the first bedroom, also crumbs/dirt under the coffee table in the lounge. The main bathroom, again was fitted out to a high standard, with fitted power shower, but no shower curtain, so couldn’t be used. The door knob landing side, to the bedroom with bunk beds came off. Although I have highlighted some negatives, there are plenty of positives, to numerous to mention, it hasn’t stopped us booking the same house again next year.

  • "Lovely property but could be improved by providing a few essential items such as hand wash, cooking oil, foil, these are things that you don't really want to purchase for a weekend away."

Also the kitchen lacked a few items such as oven gloves, potato masher. The key collection instructions provided were incorrect, the key safe under the bay window is not used, it is now to the left of the front door which luckily we found after several tries to open the old one. We did enjoy our stay but there is room for improvement.

Coat hooks in the hallway would have been nice. Lovely house & garden. Great location too. Hope to return another time.
