  • "What a lovely, cosy, comfortable, clean cottage for 2 and a dog!"

If you are looking for a peaceful holiday, this is ideal. Even being close to Norwich airport, watching the aircraft coming in so close was enjoyable. It's a great base to visit Norfolk. We usually choose 4 night stays, but, on this occasion we were glad we chose 7 nights, such a relaxing time. Would recommend to family and friends.

The property is warm and welcoming and beautifully clean and modern, yet rustic. Thr safe, enclosed garden meant I didn't have to worry about the dog. I also loved the grounds, where I walked the dog, watching the fish in the beautiful pond. When we arrived, there was a pint of fresh milk, some.toilet roll and a packet of delicious biscuits which, as a seasoned self caterer was pleasantly surprised. In terms of location, we were central to all sorts of destinations for day trips, and far enough not to be hassled by the hustle and bustle of a seaside town. I can't wait to go back! Thank you so much for a delightful stay.

If you want lovely place to stay you cannot go wrong with these lovely hosts. It is such a shame that they use Sykes to advertise their cottage as Sykes service and support of customers is in stark contrast. We after being customers of Sykes for many years will NEVER use them again. When we explained this to them, they simply didnt care, so be aware if you book this amazing cottage through them and you have any sort of problem.

It is characterful and well maintained with its own enclosed gravel and grass area. It contained every appliance needed aside from a dishwasher. The bedroom is spacious and nicely decorated. The only possible negative is it’s close proximity to Norwich airport runway but it didn’t impact on our stay, in fact it was interesting to see the various planes and helicopters at such close quarters.

If I was be picky I would say the only 2 things that could of been improved on was it was very limited as to what you could watch on tv during the evenings. A freeview box would of been more than enough. As we had really nice weather it was nice to sit out the front & sit in the sun, though we were very limited as there was enough parking for 3 cars & it would of been ideal if the parking space was cut down a bit & the patio area made a big bigger. As I said, I was being very picky as everything about the property was first class & in such a lovely area.

A short car journey to Norwich too. (Norwich is hell to park in though; a great pity as we had to give up on exploring this once so important and prosperous city.) A great many brochures and booklets with information about what to do and see in Norfolk is available in the cottage. The WiFi is excellent. The TV reception is very poor which didn't bother me, Anna, in the least but my partner Keith was disappointed. Well equipped with a large fridge-freezer, a microwave oven, an electric induction hob and oven as well as a washing machine (!) along with basic kitchen equipment, clothes pegs, clothes airer (for drying laundry) and dustpan & brush and other odds and ends. There was 1 pint of milk in the fridge when we arrived as well as a few tea bags, coffee pods and a packet of biscuits.

Lovely secure area for our dog. The one negative was finding it...the NR 10 postcode given took us miles away. The same for the people staying in the neighbouring lodge...who said they had to phone the owners for help. Once we eventually arrived, we then used the NR6 code for the Morrison’s down the road...and always got back to the right area......and if you don’t know the Norfolk roads and lanes, this is quite important.
