"Our 2nd visit!"
Can't rate this property high enough! Excellent!!
-
"The property was well presented and comfortable."
There was a welcome pack which was appreciated. Lovely and quiet site, it was October though. Good internet connection and everything we needed for our stay. The only thing I would suggest would be for the cleaners to dust the blinds and skirtings. Overall it was a good holiday and we enjoyed our visit to Seaview.

"Wow, what a wonderful place to stay in, from the moment we opened the front door we were highly impressed with the standard of the property."
It was immaculately clean in all rooms and superbly equipped with everything that one could possibly need for a perfect holiday. A nice touch was the welcome pack. We had a great break visiting old family haunts from my childhood days just up the coast in Happisburgh and surrounding district. We would definitely like to use this chalet again in the near future. Excellent !!!!

"Very cosy and well decorated chalet with much appreciated welcoming touches - comfortable beds and relaxing settee."
A very quiet chalet park with views of the sea - handy shops. We were very fortunate to have lovely weather.

"Sea view is at the back of chalet and viwed from kitchen and one bedroom."
The sea view is across a car park belonging to the local cafe. Very mild smell of breakfast cooking from the cafe first thing in the morning. Very quiet despite the carpark. Chalet well decorated with a seaside theme and well equipped. Good location for exploring North Norfolk and the Broads. Nice sandy beach which seems to stretch for miles.

"Good seafront location."

"The chalet was really well equipped and all looked fresh, clean and new!"
I did hit the cupboard in the toilet more than once so have a few bruises- if it could be moved closer to the wall would be my only recommendation. Also lovely neighbours that helped us with places to go. Had a lovely stay lots of walks, bird watching in nature reserves all around and 10 min walk to Trawler pub for a nice meal, drink, and views. Seen seals many times in the sea. Shop in front of site also very good, bread from local bakery and meat from the butcher as well.

"The property was very clean very nicely decorated well equipped."
Very good value for money. It was better than we thought it might be not very often you can say that. The lady I dealt with was very helpful.

"Chalet was great, couldn't fault it!"
Sykes customer service was average. We had to postpone our booking by a year because of the Coronavirus. This wasn't made simple and we were not offered a refund option as we should have been.
-
"Tracey was great with communication and the property was lovely."
We will certainly return and will be using Skyes cottages again.

"Very nice accommodation clean and comfortable a good base to explore the local area."
Thank you.

"A lovely chalet, the pictures can be deceiving in the size of it."
I cannot see how anyone could self cater for a family of four with the kitchen though, it is very tiny with next to no work surface. Could do with some utensils too a set of tongues would help. But all in all a nice stay, don't go to Walcott if you want something close by for the kids to do as other than the beach or to the pub you will be driving everywhere.

The property
Sitting right on the edge of the coast in the quiet village of Walcott, is Sea View.
With an abundance of picturesque beaches close by, fabulous walks along the Norfolk Coast Path and scrumptious fish and chips to be had on the waterfront, this holiday retreat is just for you.
Approached by main country roads and then more rural, narrow roads, this property sits within Walcott Park right next to the coast road and the sea wall, giving great views and easy access to the beach.
Escape to the peace and quiet with your family or some friends and tour this beautiful part of East Anglia, where you will find an assortment of places to eat and drink, as well as many interesting attractions in the surrounding area.
Relax and unwind in the open-plan living room on return from a bracing walk, take in your surroundings and curl up with a book on the sofa.
You can enjoy a home-cooked meal at the dining table, prepared in the well-appointed kitchen, before tuning into the TV or planning activities for the day ahead.
At the end of your evening, choose to catch your rest in the double bedroom, which boasts views towards the sea, or alternatively find you are better suited to the alternative bedroom with a king size bed (which can be made into a twin on request).
You are within easy walking distance of many handy amenities, ample parking space and just moments from the beach.
There is an excellent fish and chip shop, café and scenic drives to be had along the coastal front.
For those who like to be on foot, The Norfolk Coast Path can take you on a journey onto the cliffs, which head towards Happisburgh and its lighthouse, or you can choose to head for Bacton along the sea defence walls.
It stretches for 84 miles in total, with many points of interest and dramatic landscape scenery to admire along the way.
Cromer is well worth a visit, offering a detailed history of the area at Cromer Museum, its 20th-century pier housing the offshore lifeboat station and Pavillion Theatre, along with its Blue Flag, sandy beach for hours of family fun.
Further afield is Great Yarmouth and the stunning, man-made Norfolk Broads, a superb destination for a holiday.
About the location
WALCOTT
North Walsham 6 miles; Cromer 14 miles; Norwich 18 miles.
Walcott is a lovely coastal village that sits right in the middle of the Norfolk coastline, with many small and friendly coastal villages nearby; Bacton where the ruins of Bromholm Priory and Bacton Woods can be found, Happisburgh with its impressive lighthouse, and Mundesley with its fine sandy beaches are to name but a few. The name Walcott is derived from the Celtic word Walecote, which means "village by the wood". It is an ideal place for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, bird watching or simply relaxing and enjoying the many views. Walcott is also a great location for exploring the beautiful scenery of the Norfolk coast, as well as the famous Norfolk Broads. Further inland there are plenty of famous National Trust properties to visit, such as Blickling, Felbrigg and Holkham Halls, or why not visit the historic city of Norwich, with its beautiful Norman Cathedral and Castle, and of course spend your money in the many shops, pubs and restaurants on offer.
