"Lovely clean and well laid out property, Owners live in the main house and were very polite and friendly and attended to our needs wherever possible, if you enjoy fishing then well worth packing a rod and spend an hour or two fishing in the pond , would definitely stay there again."
-
"We had a lovely week at the Milk Parlour in September."
The weather was kind, the owners are very friendly and available to help if required and left us an excellent welcome pack, including home made jam. The accommodation was very comfortable and well supplied. Southwold is well worth a visit.
-
"Lovely place to stay - fitted out to very high standard and well maintained."
Well located too - a short ride to lovely Southwold and a little further to Aldeburgh. Lots of nice pubs and cafes locally. Owners very friendly and available to help if required. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area and would recommend to others. Had a lovely stay - thank you!
-
"Very friendly and helpful owner who were there if needed but otherwise left us to enjoy our holiday."
-
"We loved our stay in the Milk Parlour."
We ended up spending most of our time in Southwold but it was great to have a lovely base there. It’s in a beautiful setting and has everything you need for self catering. We would happily stay again.
-
"A beautifully furnished, cosy cottage in an amazing location."
Our favourite part being spending our evenings relaxing and drinking wine in the lovely, private outdoor space facing the moat. We stayed for three nights and had a really lovely, peaceful stay. Made to feel extra welcome by the hosts with small extra touches such as wine and cake awaiting our arrival. Would definitely recommend!

"We had a wonderful stay in the Milk Parlour."
It had everything we needed for a comfy stay, decorated and furnished beautifully and spotlessly clean. Jacqui was a warm and welcoming host. Thank you for such a lovely stay... we will be back!
-
"The Milk Parlour is a stylishly refurbished barn in the beautiful Suffolk countryside just a short drive from the coast."
We stayed 4 nights for our first holiday with our 5 month old baby. The space is well utilised with a lovely outdoor space to the rear next to the pond and space at the front next to the beautiful lavender. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is a good size with a bath and excellent shower. The bedroom was also stylishly decorated and a travel cot was provided for our little one. The bed itself was very creaky though. The hosts provide a host of local recommendations and walks, we did the ‘biscuit’ walk to see the alpacas! Handy for us with a baby, the local pub The Huntsman and Hounds, was doing a take away service and the food was delicious! All in all, a lovely stay!
-
"Fantastic accommodation and great hosts, really enjoyed our stay, picturesque location with walks (and s friendly pub) right on the doorstep."
Some really good recommendations from the host of where to visit, couldn’t have been more helpful, thoroughly recommended.

"The. Milk Parlour is a delightful barn conversion, immaculate, beautifully presented that all one needs and more."
We loved the private patio, watching and listening to the birds in trees. Jacqui, the owner is very kind and helpful, left a generous welcome pack that was very much appreciated. Perfectly situated for easy access to local beauty spots and good amenities, Southwold, Walberswick worth a visit, as is Thorpeness & Aldeburgh etc. Will definitely return here.

"Thank you for a lovely stay."
We had a lovely time. The Milk parlour was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The only thing I found hard was drying my hair. You need a better light and a bigger mirror. Being tall I couldn’t see into the mirror to dry my hair. But other than that it’s fantastic x
Thanks so much for the lovely feedback and I am pleased you had a great stay. I am going to add another mirror to the bedroom so thank you for suggesting. Kind regards Jacqui Property Owner

"This property is in a wonderful location, so tranquil and perfectly placed for visiting some wonderful beaches, villages and lovely market towns."
The barn was immaculately clean, maintained to high standard and included everything you could need. The two outdoor sitting areas were a joy to come back to after a day exploring. Perfect hosts. A little gem not to be missed.

"It was clean and tidy, although the electric hob was difficult to use for a few times."
The Owner was not friendly and we did not feel at home as we expected to. The area is lovely and we would like to go back to Suffolk but would never stay in the Milk Parlour again due to the Owners attitude.
We are very saddened to read your comments. My husband and I pride ourselves on our warm welcome to all our guests and never in 8 years of running the cottages have we had feedback that we are unfriendly pr unwelcoming. In fact we have been delighted with comments not only in our guest books but on this page (see below not only on Milk Parlour but Red Poll Barn and Rookyards Cottage - all very positive and many mentioning our welcome positively. In regards to the hob, I do like to take the time to show new guests how to operate the induction hob but you declined. Once again I am sorry you felt not welcome, that is not our intention - we want our guests to feel at home and should they need help or advice we are available to provide support. Kind regards Jacqui and Nick Property Owner

"A lovely cottage in a lovely setting, very tastefully decorated and very well maintained."
The owners lived on site and were very helpful whenever we had any queries. Everything we needed was available, including the use of a washing machine,DVD player and selection of DVDs and iron. The village itself was quaint and driving to the coast was easy and pleasant.
Thank you Nadia for your feedback - we are delighted that you liked the cottage and setting. Kind regards Jacqui Property Owner

"Property is well positioned with easy access to many areas of interest such as Halesworth, Southwold, Bungay, Alderburgh - so plenty for visitors to see."
The property was clean, well equipped so nothing was needed, comfortable and quiet. The owners adjoining land with its ponds and paths provided an excellent area for our small dog to walk around when needed. Ideal location and well run. It is a property we would be happy to return to.
