  • "It was almost dark when we got there, so we had trouble finding it, but when we did it was lovely and welcoming, the heating was on and there was a lovely basket with biscuits drinks and a packet of dog treats."

The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of room for putting everything. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need, the only problem I had was me being too short to reach the higher cupboards ( maybe a folding step would help for shorter people). The garden was fenced

  • "Clean, bright and warm accommodation which suited us perfectly- 4 adults and 2 dogs."

The welcome basket was appreciated, as was the friendly communication with Mark. The garden was fully enclosed for our 4 legged friends- the only problem was that because the garden was all grass it started to get muddy near the door with them running over the same patch constantly and there was nowhere outside to clean off their paws and so some mud and cut grass was brought into the property although we tried to keep it to a minimum. (we did have a westie with green feet for a couple of days). Squirrel Lodge is in a good location for visiting The Broads and local dog-friendly beaches- Happisburgh being our favourite. Thanks again.

  • "It would be difficult to find anything to criticise."

The property is quite spacious and very clean. The fittings and equipment are second to none. The owners had left us a beautiful welcome basket which was very kind of them. The back garden is well enclosed and our little dog was quite safe there and all we had to watch for was that he couldn’t dart out of the front door. The property is nicely situated and only a short ride from Mundesley beach which we enjoyed very much. We would thoroughly recommend this letting to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in a very pleasant area.

  • "Squirrel lodge is such a lovely base for exploring this beautiful part of Norfolk."

It’s recently converted so everything is new and feels it. Was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend break. I managed to knock the boiler switch without realising and lost hot water whilst there, the owners were over within minutes to fix. Would definitely head back again if the chance arose. Thank you so much for having us x

  • "We had an amazing stay."

There were lots of lovely touches that were really thoughtful. It was a really comfortable stay. There's a bus stop opposite which can make it easier to find in Google maps. We also met the owners while we were there and they were incredibly friendly.

Glad you enjoyed your stay, we keep striving to get it perfect. It was a pleasure chatting with your boys Saturday before you left, they made my week, a true credit to you. Property Owner

  • "Obviously a very recent conversion of outbuildings."

Upside is that it's clean, fresh and well presented. Small downside is that there will be a couple of detail things still to do. Like no shelves or holders anywhere around bathroom sinks (where do you put your soap or toothpaste whilst using?) needs extractor fan or window in second bathroom. Needs some softer lighting (lamps) in living area. Just little things but not quite 10/10 yet. It's also a bit eccentric in its conversion from outbuildings. A long thin open-plan living area is a bit of a "corridor, and the exterior still looks like a wooden outbuilding. It's still comfortable, easy living accommodation none the less.

Thank you, the out buildings were built about 1850 as stables & cart shed for the coach house Extractor fan is now replaced & 2 side lights for the lounge have been added It’s a learning curve to get it right for 99% of people, but with feedback we will hopefully get there Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, great location and well maintained."

Just needs a few minor tweaks; 1)A cafetiere in the kitchen (for those of us who drink coffee). 2)Anti-slip mats in the walk in shower and the bath tub. 3)The small hedge on the driveway entrance needs a bit of a trim as the view onto the road is obscured when turning right. 4)Reading light or daylight spotlight over the smaller sofa to help visitors with sight issues to read if they're not watching the TV.

Glad you enjoyed your stay, & thank you for the feed back, it helps us fine tune. We now have 2 anti slip mats, cafetière & reading light on order & I’ll be out this week hedge cutting. Thank you Mark Property Owner

  • "A really lovely place to stay the holiday home is very clean, comfy and has everything you need to have a good stay."

You are ideally placed to visit plenty of places around the holiday lodge. The only one thing we could suggest is a security light for the back garden.

Thank you for your feedback back, just emailing our electrician about a security light for the back garden Property Owner
