  • "We received a very warm welcome from owners, Mary, Micheal, and friendly tail wags from Monty the dog, on our arrival at The Haven."

They were so helpful during our stay and so were the friendly neighbors next door. The fresh flowers, along with the delicious homemade goodies, were a lovely touch. It was a most peaceful and relaxing break away at the Haven, and so enjoyed sitting on the private patio, in the pretty sun-soaked garden. The annex is a delightful retreat and within easy reach of the beaches, boating on The Norfolk Broads, local walks, pretty villages, and good pubs to dine at. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped along with the light modern-decorated lounge too, which I'm sure would be very cozy with the wood burner in the colder months. There are so many things to do nearby that we are very much looking forward to a return stay! Mandy & Alan June 2023.

  • "On arrival at The Haven we had a lovely warm welcome from Mary the owner to hand over the key."

Inside she had left some tasty homemade treats and some flowers which were a pleasant touch. The Haven is light and airy with modern furniture exactly like the photos online. We found everything we needed there and everything was spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept exceptionally well. Wacton is very quiet at night with hardly any passing traffic. On finding out we are vegetarians Mary must have researched Long Stratton because she texted me to tell me of a local vegetarian cafe, a very thoughtful gesture. All in all Mary is a lovely host, the couple next door are lovely and friendly and The Haven is perfect for peace and quiet after a busy day sightseeing. It’s a perfect base for visiting North Norfolk, the east coast, and villages to the west or south of Norwich. Would we recommend The Haven? You bet we would.

The property gives the impression of being small but it is deceptively roomy and comfortable. Facing an orchard and surrounded by countryside it really is an haven. All on one level, it is perfect for anyone, like me, with mobility problems, providing you can step into the property. The wonderful hosts Mary and Michael, not forgetting Monty, the four legged assistant, are on hand to ensure you have all you need to enjoy your stay in this wonderful location. The village is quiet and peaceful with very friendly neighbours and is minutes away from the major road network to take you to all the attractions Norfolk has to offer. The property is spotlessly clean and a welcome pack awaits your arrival. We are booked in again for March and are looking forward to our return.
