Have always loved the most spectacular walk along the estuary to the magnificent beach & mountain views. (Never thought we'd stay in a place with these views!) Definitely recommend this well loved home & would stay here again.

Very peaceful area. Our son enjoyed sitting and reading in the conservatory. Would definitely look at coming back. Owners were extremely accommodating to request to bring extra dog and add additional night at short notice. Thank you

  • "Really lovely property in a fabulous location with stunning views."

We didn't feel the need to venture far into the island due to a short stay, and we were content to explore the immediate surrounding area. There is a lovely little tea room in the village. And a beautiful coastal walk to the church in the sea. The house was immaculate and provided everything we needed. Thank you to the owners for the little welcome basket on arrival. It was my first time trying bara brith and welshcakes and they were lovely. Myself, my husband and my 3 teenage boys throughly enjoyed our stay and came back feeling so relaxed and recharged. We hope one day to return. I highly recommend this cottage. Just to note; if wanting to eat out or get takeaway be prepared to drive 20-30 minutes to get what you need. But for us, the 'away from it all' was part of the appeal.

Thankyou very much for your lovely feedback and glad you enjoyed our Bara brith. Just a note to state that there is a chip shop, pizza and other takeaway caffès in Rhosneigr five min drive from Aberffraw . Many thanks for staying at Morlais and welkome back any time Property Owner

So much thought has gone into ensuring guests have a comfortable stay. The reading room was a firm favourite with one of my boys! Thank you for the welcome pack, I now have some bara brith to take home as I loved it so much! I will be sad to leave this place of peace & tranquility - It has been a very relaxing few days & we hope to return one day.

  • "We are now in our 20th year of holidaying on Anglesey, having stayed in B&Bs."

Lodge, Caravans and Houses. Morlais is the cream of the crop, and an absolute bonus of being located in Aberffraw, which has always been our favourite beach. Many thanks for letting our stay be so comfortable in your lovely home :) Sorry though for the breaking of one wine glass.

Your welcome package gave us a lovely tart to our holiday. The house was immaculately presented and had all mod cons one could possibly need - also it is exceptionally well equipped. We brought our own dog bed, bowls etc but it was a thoughtful touch to provide them. You have provided everything anyone could possibly need.

It really was home from home with everything in place for us to relax and enjoy our time on Angelsey . Lovely welcome basket on arrival and the owners even provided dog beds, towels and bowls for our dogs to use ( we had brought crates and towels so didn’t use them ) Happy to recommend this rental and hopefully will return in the future

  • "NB NO DISHWASHER see below."

Lovely house, lovely location obviously a lot of thought and love put into it. Owner very helpful let us check in early on the day as it was already prepared (many thanks meant we could do the week's food shopping after arrival and told us about roadworks now finished. Initially found this place on another site, one of the reasons we chose it was because it stated as do some other sites that it has a dishwasher. It doesnt. Just so's you know and arent badly disappointed like we were NB some sites don't claim it has a dishwasher. Bit odd as has big kitchen and utility room and is for 5 people. Its lack showed a bit we had to clean mugs, pans and a few other things before we could use them as they werent clean. But the house was clean. We've reported the cooker-hood light to the owner hopefully that'll be fixed for others. Also the garden isnt private. I dont know if there's a public footpath or something but we saw people in the back yard and walking out the drive a couple of times at bit scary. Theyd gone before we got outside. Nothing in the house folder about public access. Would have liked to know how the recycling worked and when to put the bins out no info in the folder. Every council has its own rules on what can be recycled. If you're not bothered by any of the above, go for it. Lovely views out to the sea from the upstairs end room and of the inland dunes from the main bedroom. On the end of a no-through road, with a path to the coast at the end of the road.

Dear Isabel Thank you for your feedback I will explain what has happened. We advertised our home through Sykes Cottages and they in turn share among many other companies. Unfortunately it was advertised as having a dishwasher but this was not the case, an admin error on their part Im sure. Good news is that following your feedback we have now installed a brand new Dishwasher for future visits. Also, the cooker light is under investigation and to confirm that there is no public access to our property it is private except for access to put their bins out as there is no other path to the front of the property, the guest in the holiday let next door assumed they had access though our property but the do not, this has now been resolved with the owner and we sincerely apologies for the intrusion. We don't expect our guests to take out the bins ( you are on holiday) but the information is on the notice board in the utility room, if you did wish to do this. I hope this answers your queries and thank you so much for choosing Morlais for your holidays. Hope to see you again soon. Gary Property Owner

  • "The house was lovely, bright, roomy and immaculate."

It was very clean, well equipped and the view over to the mainland and the mountains was amazing. A large well maintained and secure garden was very helpful for our dogs, as well as the location of a footpath just at the end of the drive. This property is a short walk to the beach and a lovely cafe in the centre of the village. It is highly recommended and I hope to return.

  • "A lovely and spacious holiday home in a peaceful village."

The views are fantastic, especially from the first floor sitting room. Unfortunately for us, within 24 hours of arriving the weather changed and we had almost 5 days of strong winds, cloud and rain, some of the winds reaching over 60 mph. Although the outside areas looked good, sitting out was not an option. We would certainly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in this area, as it is within easy reach of all parts of the island.

Sorry you were unlucky with the stormy weather, but glad to know that it did not deter you from exploring our beautiful island. Many thanks also for your kind words and best wishes left by yourself at our property, very much appreciated. As you said the views from the house are fantastic during calm and stormy weather ! • "Splendid property which was accurately advertised and thoroughly enjoyed by all four of us."

One or two items were needed to make the kitchen more user friendly such as an oven cloth and something to brew coffee in. The instruction from Menai Holiday informed us that we needed to follow property instructions on leaving, but apart from the keys there were no instructions re bedding etc. The only improvement would be regarding recycling and instruction re bin collection. Returned from a day out to find recycling bins out all along the street, but our property only had a grey bin and a green bin containing garden refuse. Unfortunately on our journey home we discovered that no-one had finally emptied the kitchen bin, our apologies! I would happily use your company and this property again. David Rogers

Many Thanks for the positive and friendly feedback and also the complimentary remarks regarding Menai holiday Lettings and our property. Regarding bedding we do not expect our guests to remove bedding at the end of their stay this is done by our housekeeping staff. I will add this information into our House Information Booklet . We are very glad your stay with us was so enjoyable and we would be very happy to welcome you back to stay at Morlais Aberffraw. oven gloves and coffee percolator now added Kind regards Owners Property Owner

Good and secure rear exercise garden for dogs. Ample off-road car parking. Suggestions and review already left in folder at property. Low water pressure issues experienced with the shower. More tv choice channel availability would be good. Extra consideration - addressing the security/access at side of property re dogs.

The property

Tucked away in a quiet and scenic location, with close proximity to the Anglesey coastline is Morlais.

A welcoming, three-bedroom, end property next to open fields and enjoying stunning views of the estuary, leading to the wonderful, spacious sandy beach, and Eryri – Snowdon Mountain range; nature in all its glory.

After parking up, enter your new home from home to be impressed by the light and airy living/dining room, the well-equipped kitchen and the suntrap conservatory that looks out onto the front garden.

Or maybe, dine alfresco in the purpose-built barbecue area and patio, sipping on a cold glass of wine as you admire your beautiful setting; the third garden is an enclosed, lawned area.

At any time of the day, probably your most favourite room, would be the first-floor sitting room with stunning sea and mountain views.

Sit back, read, plan your day, look out of the bay window, and take in the beautiful view and relax!

When the evening draws to a close, escape to one of three neatly-presented bedrooms, each with plenty of storage and a charming nautical theme extending through to nod to your coastal location.

Aberffraw on the West Coast of Anglesey is a beautiful, quiet seaside village, recently named by the Telegraph newspaper as one of the 30 greatest villages in Britain, untouched by mass tourism.

Explore the beautiful, circular coastal path that is literally outside of your front gate.

This walk will lead you to the historical beach location of St Cwyfan’s Church, or as it’s known locally, the Church in the Sea, taking the countryside walking route back to your abode.

The village has a shop/Post Office, lovely tea rooms and bar, art gallery and nearby Cidery, or you could use the local bus service to explore plenty of places of interest.

Turn left out of the village, approximately 4 miles on is the larger and busier coastal water sports village of Rhosneigr, that has shops, pubs, and cafés; an 18-hole golf course can also be found here.

Turn right out of the village and find the breath-taking Newborough Forest with walking and cycling paths, and in the village itself, following the road to the outstanding Llanddwyn Beach, and if the tide is out, visit the historic and beautiful island of Santes/Saint Dwynwen.

Visit the National Trust property of Plas Newydd, or maybe visit the Anglesey Sea Zoo.

Located on Holy Island is the South Stack Lighthouse and RSPB café.

Spot seabirds nesting on the cliffs, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area.

In the port town of Holyhead maybe take a day trip to Ireland or visit the Holyhead Breakwater Park; Holyhead and Llangefni have further shops and supermarkets to take advantage of.

Drive over the Britannia Bridge or the famous Thomas Telford Menai Suspension Bridge, escape to Anglesey and enjoy a memorable stay at Morlais Aberffraw.
