  • "Lovely cottage."

Good sized rooms. Short walk into the town and to the beach. A note to others: The TV has no freeview box and relies on you streaming internet TV from your devices. It will not connect wirelessly with Apple devices. I had to order a usb-c to HDMI cable from amazon before we could use it with the laptop. Hopefully they will get a freeview box (we scoured charity shops to no avail) So, if you’re an Apple user get a usb-c or lightning connector to HDMI cable or no TV for you. Not the end of the world as you will mostly be out but it does help for rainy days or evenings if you have young children who go to bed early.

  • "Lovely house in a good location."

Unfortunately, we found dog mess in the front and back garden. I think next time we will make more of a conscious effort to choose a house that doesn't allow dogs as along with the dog mess, the house had a doggy smell. The bins were full on arrival and had not been put out to be emptied. There is a lot of potential in the house.

  • "Whilst the property is specious and in a good location, the cleaning left a lot to be desired."

The bedroom windows had not been cleaned for some time and there was dust evident in most places. Any cleaning done was a token gesture at best. No dishwasher in the property, which should be a prerequisite at the tariff charged and probably explains why the cutlery was not clean.

  • "Our first time in Abersoch, what a beautiful place and such a pretty beach."

Barbara is in a wheelchair and we are always worried about things like beach access but with a few 'minor tweaks' we were okay. Everywhere is a delight. The cottage is spacious and well planned out. We loved it so 'thank you' for the stay. I hope we will return

  • "Lovely cottage, clean and quiet."

Close to all amenities. Our only problem was the main bedroom, the bed filled the space which meant we basically had to edge down the side or climb over to get in...also no space for bedside table/lamp . Otherwise great. Would stay again.

  • "Thanks for a beautiful stay, the cottage was cozy, clean, spacious and a joy to stay in, beds were comfortable, it was perfect."

Location was also great with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely come back to Eithinog.

  • "Good location."

Comfortable and clean bedrooms and lounge/ dining area. Some things not as clean as they should have been eg crumbs in bread bin, greasy curry residue underneath washing up bowl and in sink, dirty toothbrush holders, freezer absolutely filthy. No dishwasher disappointing and inconvenient on holiday. Chairs in garden but no appropriately sized table for 5 to eat outside, only a tiny coffee sized table. These easily rectifiable and fairly inexpensive things would upgrade this property to 4+ star.

  • "Loved lots about this spacious house but found the kitchen small and awkward having 3 doors - would be great knocked through to the dinning room."

An enclosed garden would be a huge improvement for visitors with dogs. The crockery and cutlery all needed washing before use. Oh and there was no book with guest information which would have been helpful. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

  • "Nice area and spacious property apart from the tiny kitchen."

Disappointed with the cleanliness overall but especially in the kitchen when I had to use a brillo pad to clean a couple of casseroles dishes before I could use them. I felt we left it cleaner than when we arrived.

I would like to thank you for booking with us and taking the time to review Eithinog. We are very sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with certain aspects of your stay. Out upmost aim is to provide guests with a clean and comfortable stay and apologise and take on board your comments to ensure that this matter will be resolved immediately. Thank you again Property Owner

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
