"Absolutely beautiful property in gorgeous surroundings, lovely welcoming food hamper on arrival."
Hot tub was great used every day. Great location, Snowdon mountain 15-20 min drive away, Whistling sands beach a bit further, Anglesey, the beautiful Caenarfon castle 10 min away, lots of beautiful beaches a short drive away. Loved it, hosts Angela and Bryn welcoming and very helpful. The only niggle was the bedroom with ensuite didn't have any storage so lived out of suitcases.
-
"Lovely spacious property, good to have the pool table/ darts room attached to the property, and the hot tub was at a constant warm temperature."
Really nice location. Would definitely return and recommend to others. My only suggestion would be maybe a few more bits in the kitchen, pasta bowls, sieve, tongs etc Just because I do like to cook for half the holiday. Also a mop, just to mop up drips from coming in from hot tub. Overall a definite 5/5

"The cottage was advertised as having wifi however the wifi didn't work at all."
When we asked we were told this was because the cottage was in the countryside, however we have stayed at similar places before which do have wifi. I don't think that these days it can be 5 star without good wifi. We were unable to watch Netflix etc on the smart TV and there was no DVD player provided. The hot tub was lovely and the cottage was well placed for driving to different places.
Thank you for your valued feedback and I am sorry about the disappointment you had with the wifi. My recollection from Bryn was that the wifi had been slow. However I did check with recent guests and they said it was ok. This is not the first comment we've received about the wifi so I contacted BT to check the line and they did find a fault. It has since been addressed and is now working perfectly.. Again apologies for the inconveniense. Property Owner

"This lovely cottage feels really special."
It’s so peaceful yet close to local attractions. The cottage is beautiful inside, very comfortable and clean and the underfloor heating kept all the rooms and living areas warm. Our highlight was the hot tub. We loved it! The weather was mixed during our stay but the hot tub is lovely and warm whatever the weather. I can imagine this property is even more of a pleasure in the summer months. We would definitely recommend it and would return.
-
"The cottage was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed."
The hot tub was also brilliant after long days out walking and exploring! We would definitely book this place again.
-
"Would appreciate some matches or something to light the log burner - we went looking for matches but there wasn’t anything open."
Only a small thing but it would be a nice gesture apart from that it was perfect

"We’ve just returned from an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage, Angela was lovely, it’s in a perfect location to explore snowdonia and the hot tub is very welcomed after climbing all day, I would highly recommend staying here and I would absolutely return for another stay."
Thanks Angela!

"We really enjoyed our stay."
The property is immaculate, well furnished (including good outdoor seating...a first I can tell you!) And very well situated...a quiet location but right near the A road meaning nothing is too far away. Dinas Dinlle beach was a real find as well, it's beautiful. The facilities in the property are excellent, with a lovely kitchen and utility room. Bryn and his wife were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we could possibly need.

"Thank you for a fantastic stay, very peaceful and relaxing."
Loved the hot tub and the facilities. There were only a few very minor points that would have been nice due to the hot weather: to have been able to open the bi-fold doors and because there are doors not windows bedrooms it can get hot at night so fans would have been nice. Also some hangers on the back of the bedroom doors would be handy to hang towels if sharing bathroom or dressing gowns.

"Great place ,location and stay."
One of our best cottage experiences big thanks to the owners!
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend."
I would just ask that Sykes Holiday Cottages provide a map of the exact location as directions are not clear. Failing that provide what three words location of the cottage

"We had a fantastic break in Beudy’r Wennol."
Angela and Bryn both went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the property has been set up to a really high standard, we strongly recommend it as a holiday venue. So much so that we’re thinking of going back next Christmas!
-
"A beautiful house, warm, clean and comfortable with lovely extra facilities and in an area with plenty of interesting places to visit."
The family particularly enjoyed the hot tub. The welcome goodies were much appreciated. The only minor issues were that we would have liked slightly more and better kitchen knives and a couple of mid-sized Pyrex style casserole dishes. However we strongly recommend this property and may well try to book another visit.

"Beautiful spacious cottage and great location for a family holiday."
We were very impressed with everything provided in the cottage and would highly recommend staying there.

"Second time here."
It's amazing. Very clean, very spacious, feels incredibly safe, the games room doubles as a superb body board / SUP and MTB store. The kitchen is fully fitted out. The bedding is lovely. The owners are very friendly, are local and happy to help out. The new road system (2022) means it's now only 20 mins to Llanberis. My family and I have had some of the best holiday times of our lives staying at this place.

"Superb property."
High standard, tasteful accommodation with an extremely responsive and pleasant owner. The house is simply excellent, enhanced by wonderful gardens and surrounds. It has been modernised and decorated to a very high standard. It was an excellent base from which to explore the area and, with young children to consider, its many beaches. It was a haven to return to in the evening with its lovely BBQ area and, of course, the hot tub. All the basics are there; ample fridge and freezer space and a handy utility room. Plentiful bathroom and shower spaces. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, not even a “would be even better if …. “. We loved it.

"A lovely property in a perfect location - I would thoroughly recommend."
-
"It's a lovely place in a lovely location, very clean and with all the facilities we needed, including a laundry area."
The hot tub was superb! One minor thing - the curtain in the en suite bedroom did not fully close, and as it was June we had a few early starts. Otherwise, excellent!
-
"We had an excellent week."
Lovely cottage. Comfortable. Very well presented. In a great spot. Tranquil but not too far away from amenities and sights. Close to beach. Bonus of the hot tub. Great owners. Will definitely be back.

"Style over substance."
Just a few comments. Using 1 curtain in 2 of the bedrooms didn't cover the window. Mornings in May begin very early without sufficient curtain cover. The ensuite room lacks any clothes storage except a coat hooks. We lived out of a suitcase for a week. Very disappointing and the standard we expected. The furniture is of high quality but far too big for the space you have to shuffle past the end of the bed to get to the other side. The glass doors face into the parking area and next doors parking!! a voile or privacy blind would be appropriate. The hot tub is a great addition to the property, but thought again to privacy as next door was sat watching us. Overall a great holiday accommodation, good spec. Hopefully they will address our comments especially the clothing storage as this proved irritating for part of our group. Regards Carol Bennett
Thank you for your feedback. You raised some valid points with some aspects of your stay which we will address. These points have not been a problem before. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the space in the third bedroom. I do recall that you requested information regarding the that bedroom and I confirmed that there was a 1 foot space from the bed to the wall. The glass doors do not face into a parking area you chose to put your car there. With regard to the hot tub, we do feel that the neighbours are far enough away to allow privacy for any guests and it would be a shame to obstruct any views by adding a privacy screen. We also believe that the property is as advertised in the description and pictures. Thank you again for your overall view on the property and for the positive comments you gave us when you were staying at the property. Property Owner

"We had a fantastic week in a warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean property."
Bryn & Angela were friendly and welcoming, and the addition of a hot tub was a fantastic surprise (installed between us booking and arriving, we were the first to try it out!) and a treat for the family.
-
"Wonderful spacious and clean, well equipped kitchen with quality fittings throughout the barn."
Good location for visiting the many attractions and very friendly owners nearby. Welcome pack with local produce very much appreciated. A beautiful place to stay would not hesitate in staying here again.
-
"Fab cottage exactly as described, super clean & very comfortable."
Perfect location for exploring the wider area. We very much look forward to returning in the future!
-
"Stunning cottage with a great homely feel."
Perfect for trips with family or friends couldn’t fault really. Small things to suggest would be to have a book with suggested activities and sights to help daily outings planning (may have been removed due to Covid). Was sorry to leave.
-
"Superb cottage with fantastic facilities."
Quality throughout. Friendly owner closeby to help if required. The location is fantastic; convenient for sea or mountains. Excellent games room and lovely private gardens with intimate spaces for everyone to enjoy. Great BBQ and outdoor spaces
-
"Absolutely brilliant place to stay."
Spacious, clean, all amenitites as described. Was perfectly cleaned when we arrived. The place is massive, the games room accommodates Mountain Bikes and surf boards. The pool table was great. The kitchen is excellent. The beds are lovely. So many places to sit outside. The owners are very friendly and are close by. Total recommendation.
-
"Beudy’r Wennol is a stunning cottage, spacious, well equipped and very tastefully decorated."
The location is quiet and rural but not remote, so you’re within easy reach of all amenities. The owners live close by and are really lovely. Thank you!
-
"Very spacious,comfortable and clean."
Light and bright inside with plenty of doors and windows to open during warm weather. Private back garden with patio area with table and chairs. Utility area for drying wet clothes was appreciated. Lovely location for exploring the local beaches, castles and coastal walks. A lovely place to stay!
-
"The Barn is a very lovely place to stay, extremely comfortable with plenty of space and ease of access for visiting many different parts of North Wales."
This was our second stay and we were not disappointed. Hosts extremely friendly and helpful, and we were very lucky with some sunny weather. Reading back through several feedback entries we concur that with some minor attention and a few additions this would be an even more enjoyable place to stay. Particularly the addition of blinds to the bedroom skylights, and attention to the poor toilet flushing system in the bathroom. That said, we would recommend a stay and would not rule out returning for a third holiday.
-
"Really lovely, comfortable property in a peaceful spot with nice friendly hosts."
A great location for accessing beaches and mountains, we would definitely like to visit again and stay longer! highly recommended
-
"Had an enjoyable staycation."
Beds very comfortable, great living space with comfortable chairs & a bonus to have the pool table. Only negative point was we had difficulty flushing the bathroom toilet so tended to use one off utility.
-
"The cottage was fantastic, it is in a really good location and was well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break."
-
"The toilet in the main bathroom was not easy or reliable to flush!"
! Cottage was very very comfortable and would highly recommend. Great location and lovely and peaceful.
-
"Beautiful barn conversion, just as lovely when you arrive as the pictures show."
The only slight criticism would be a lack of kitchen equipment, not enough oven dishes, would be nice to have a jug that isn’t plastic, corkscrew was broken (we replaced it and left it there) a pair of kitchen scissors would have also been useful. This said I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.
-
"This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location."
It is a great base for exploring both Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. The cottage was decorated and cleaned to a very high standard and the Owners were friendly and helpful. They even brought round some candles and a game during a power cut caused by a storm. We would like to return. The only things that could have been improved were the lack of blinds to skylights in two of the bedrooms and some kitchen scissors and oven gloves would have been very useful.
-
"The cottage had great space for the four of us in the kitchen/dinner and living room."
It felt very clean and light and bright. The kitchen had everything we needed and the whole cottage was finished to a high standard. It was a great base to explore North Wales. The very short drive to Dinas Dinlle beach on first night was rewarded with a fantastic sunset over the sea. Great beaches on the Lynn Peninsula and the mountains/lakes of Snowdonia are in easy reach. A very nice family week away.
-
"Wonderful barn conversation convenient by car for lots of Snowdonia beaches and attractions."
Attentive hosts, all expected amenities and felt safe during Covid19- very clean. Cool in the summer, expect would be warm and cosy in the winter- can’t wait to return!
-
"This was a lovely cottage in a good location."
The owners were on site and available. There were, however, a couple of snags that could easily be rectified. It definitely needs blinds on the sky lights in the bedrooms - a major drawback . It also lacks a few finishing touches - radio, DVD player, tv in bedroom and essentials such as enough toilet rolls, a couple of dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc to start the holiday. The pool room is not really suitable as it is too small to use the cues. Overall a nice cottage which could be better with a little finesse.
-
"Urterly fantastic!"
Beautiful cottage with great hosts. Pictures do not do it justice.
-
"The cottage was everything we'd hoped it would be, absolutely immaculate, the kitchen felt brand new and was really spacious, one suggestion would be that it did need more cooking equipment such as ceramic dishes or serving bowls, I had to use a roasting tin to make a lasagne and dauphinois potatoes."
The living area was lovely really well furnished to a high quality. The bedrooms were perfect, all king-size beds, bathroom was good with rainfall shower. One thing we felt was missing was a welcome pack, just for things like the WiFi details and heating instructions, the cottage was full underfloor heated which was a luxury but we would have liked to turn the heat down some nights to use the log burner but even when we turned the thermostat off in the kitchen and living area the room remained heated. Overall though our stay was perfect and I'd most definitely recommend it to anyone.
-
"The cottage was very nicely presented, warm and comfortable."
We had a number of minor niggles. There was no information/welcome pack telling us anything about how things worked etc. There were not enough glasses, cups and crockery so when the dishwasher was full, there was a distinct shortage of stuff. Most of the kitchen cupboards were empty, so it’s not as if there was no room to keep things. There was not enough variety of things to cook with, such as a good selection of bakeware, pots and pans. Most of the toilets were difficult to flush. One had a very loose toilet seat and most had no loo brush. There were no cleaning products. There were no chopping boards and not a good selection of food preparation knives. Extra towels and tea towels would be nice. They could do with a selection of books, games, jigsaws etc. for rainy days. Guests will often leave things like that, but it would be good to get a collection going. There are lots of empty cupboards to keep things like that in. These are just minorniggles and should’ve taken as suggestions to improve the visitor experience. We had a lively time there and the property is In an excellent location close to lots of great places to visit. Would definitely recommend it.

"Excellent cottage, beautifully presented & well equipped."
Great location with shops & tourist attractions nearby. Would go again & highly recommend

"Really enjoyed our stay at Beudy'r Wennol."
Lovely barn conversion, with lots of space for 6 adults. Loved the open plan kitchen/living room and spent many hours sitting at the kitchen table enjoying meals and playing games with our family. 3 nice bedrooms (although one of them doesn't have any drawers/hanging space which is a bit inconvenient). Beds were large and comfy. Nice gardens both front and back (although the lawns could have done with being cut before we arrived). A few suggestions for improvements: 1. More utensils/cooking equipment in the kitchen - only had 2 small frying pans, no large deep frying pan or wok so we had to go and buy one. Also, very little in the way of dishes/oven dishes to prepare meals in, again we had to purchase one. Such a beautiful kitchen should be better equipped for cooking meals for 6 people. Also no oven gloves which proved challenging. 2. Would be nice if there were things like washing up liquid/bin liners/kitchen roll provided. 3. Inadequate recycling bins - 3 small boxes for both properties (we were unable to put out a lot of our rubbish) 4. Insufficient garden furniture for 6 people - we were unable to all sit outside at the same time as there were only 4 chairs (2 at the front and 2 at the back which we had to keep moving around to follow the sun). Also a bigger table to seat 6 so that meals could be eaten outside 5. Bathroom toilet didn't flush very well and en-suite toilet had a leak. 6. Blinds of some sort on the skylights - very light very early in the mornings! 7. No point in having the pool table as there is not enough room around it play properly PS Thanks for the lovely fruit cake which we enjoyed on our arrival :-)

"Absolutely stunning property, it felt like we were staying in our dream home."
We couldn’t believe it from the moment we stepped in, it was so worth the long drive. So warm with the underfloor heating, and a cosy wood burner as well. We didn’t use the woodburner as much as we thought as the strong winds ate up the logs quickly and the underfloor heating is so good on its own. Lots of space for cooking yummy meals with all the utensils you need. We climbed Snowdon while we were there and it was lovely coming back to a hot bath and warm floor under our feet. The furniture and decor are gorgeous, the beds are like clouds. Didn’t want to leave! It must be even better in summer when you can use the garden too. We will definitely book again and recommend this place very highly to anyone thinking of booking. Only small things were the charger socket in the bathroom doesn’t work, it would be nice to have some curtains in the living room/kitchen (might be just me though :)) and the toilets don’t have great water flow for flushing. The owner was helpful as we arrived late she kindly checked on us later the next morning. Thank you for a great stay in such a beautiful place.

"It was amazing for our honeymoon."
Lovely and remote with a gate road.

"The cottage was so beautiful and the surroundings we're like a fairy tale."
Our hosts were east to reach and very accommodating. Unfortunately our weekend there happened to coincide with a major storm but we had a great time staying in with a lovely fire and games. We will definitely stay again it's great for families and couples looking to get away. It's close to Caernarfon so you can get everything you need for your stay. The pictures on the website don't do the cottage justice
