"Nice property, fitted our needs very well as we used the big sitting room as one of the bedrooms, the twin room being a bit small for two adults plus bags etc."
There are always things to pick faults with but, for the money, we thought this was excellent value and a perfect location for our walk of the northern half of the Isle of Anglesey Coast path.

"It's a very nice cottage."
The extension is well done & spacious. There is plenty of parking area to the side. The full-sized bath is lovely. Lacks maintenance on plumbing (upstairs sink & shower drainage poor). Very clean throughout. It could do with a major upgrade on beds & bedding. Overall a very nice stay.

"Lovely place to stay,"

"A fantastic cottage perfectly situated to explore Anglesey ."
Very modern interior but with all the comforts of a traditional cottage . The owners are great and are in the process of posting back to me an item of clothing I left in the cottage ,going that extra level for their customers .

"We had a lovely time at this cottage very clean and comfortable a great base for exploring the Island."
-
"Angelsey is beautiful and cottage well placed for seeing the whole island."
Accommodation was OK but directions not brilliant as the told to turn left at graveyard which cannot be seen from road. No welcome pack not even a pint of milk. Very disappointed as both description and pictures show an enclosed private garden however there are open steps which lead up to parking area and then down to quite a busy road. I have a 14 year old rescue dog so was only able to take her out in garden on a lead which is really not ideal. I look very carefully at desc. and pics so was extremely displeased by this.

"Great place to stay"

"Had a wonderful holiday."
The cottage is amazing. Bethan and Paul are on hand with advice about the area too. The only thing I would say is the seating ,although very comfortable is extremely low . So v difficult for anyone with disabilities. The cottage is quite remote so a car is essential. The views are wonderful because of this though. Loved watching the wildlife. Thankyou for a great stay x

"Superb holiday cottage, home from home very well appointed the owners were attentive without being obtrusive."
Nicely situated for access to the whole of the Island. Would definitely recommend Bodfan Peniel and would also stay there again.
-
"This is our second stay here."
The owners live across from the cottage and on hand if needed. This location is pretty central and gives you the opportunity to explore all of Anglesey. The cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Would recommend a trip to Llanddonna and also the Gaerwen Arms!

"We loved staying at Bodfan Peniel, it is in a great location, with easy access to explore the whole of Anglesey!"
The cottage had everything we needed. Paul and Bethan were great hosts and helpful with regard to getting around Anglesey.

"Excellent location, beautiful clean comfortable cottage would definitely stay again"
-
"Fantastic stay in a beautiful cottage, with the owners at hand in the adjacent property."
The owners were lovely and I wouldn't hesitate in booking this cottage again.
-
"We had a lovely stay at Bodfan, despite the sometimes poor weather!"
The cottage is in the middle of the island, so central for reaching the main beaches etc. It was comfortable and Bethan and Paul were welcoming and friendly. Thank you!
-
"Central location on Anglesey."
Very helpful owners living adjacent. Clean & comfortable. Hope to go back

"Home from home facilities, with very nice personal touches."
Friendly & helpful owners where nothing was too much trouble but by the same rule they were neither obtrusive or interfering. Would definitely recommend it

"Overall, Bodfan Peniel was a lovely cottage, ideally placed in the centre of the island making journeys to every coast easy and equidistant."
It is located in a quiet rural spot with lovely views of the surrounding countryside, and a peaceful place to return after a day out exploring. The cottage has been tastefully updated, but could do with some coffee tables for drinks and playing games in the lounge and the rear sitting room, and some lamps for more subtle evening lighting while watching TV. The owners were very helpful and friendly, however, they didn't like us charging our EV using the extension lead (which had a thermal cut-out and was perfectly safe and an acceptable means of charging a vehicle via a 3-pin trickle charge), and on leaving, was looking to levy a surcharge, despite us advising that to top-up an electric car by 20 miles (our daily use) was probably about £2 worth of electric. No different to using the TV, running the washing machine, charging laptops etc. Given we'd paid near £1k for our week (which should more than cover our water and utilities during our stay,) this felt like a kick in the teeth. Eventually, more visitors will be arriving at Bodfan Peniel in electric cars, and the owners need to embrace this and be more accommodating. Took the shine off a great week.

"A great central location to explore the whole island."
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this cottage and we hope to return in the future.
-
"Location is quiet and convenient to easily reach the whole of the rest of the island."
Owners live adjacent and could not be more helpful and friendly.
-
"A gorgeous cottage in a lovely location."
The owners were fantastic and extremely helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and we had a very comfortable week. The views from the cottage are amazing.
-
"Amazing cottage ,extremely comfortable with everything you could need ,provided ."
The layout of the cottage provides plenty of space and the pictures do not do it justice ,in my opinion . Its central location on Anglesey makes it ideal for exploring the island and journeys onto the mainland, nothing seems too far away .We cannot express how pleased we are that we found this gem of a cottage ,it made our break away perfect .On a final note i would just like to thank both owners for their attention and care we received ,they were both brilliant and nothing was too much trouble even bringing us extra logs for the fire .Will definitely be re booking
-
"Cottage is clean, well maintained , and I central location to explore the island."
Would recommend this. Paul and Bethan were great host
-
"Overall very good."
Not the owners fault but property difficult to find, the entrance because of building work, looked like a tip. Would have been useful to say that there is a place/road sign just before the windmill which says COEDONA. When approaching from LL medd. Bethans son kindly came and waved us in. Bethan very helpful, everything spotless.
-
"Lovely cottage, tastefully refurbished With everything we needed and the owners were really helpful and friendly."
Good location for the whole of Angelsey, well off the road and lots of living space with a great little garden outside the back.
-
"We had a great stay, exceeded our expectations- lovely clean and comfortable We hope to return !"
The Cottage was cosy, clean and we had a brilliant time.
-
"The website doesn't do the cottage justice."
The views from the garden are over farmland to a windmill and the views from the bedrooms are to Snowdonia. The cottage is in a tiny hamlet of homes and is therefore wonderfully quiet. However just a short car journey takes you to lots of villages, beaches and towns. The cottage was clean and the owners had thoughtfully left added cleaning products. There was a welcome pack which we were not expecting.

"Lovely cottage, helpful owners thank you"
-
"Excellent property, well placed for exploring Anglesey."
Nice quiet location, owners very pleasant and welcoming. Slight downside was no internet connection and weak phone signal. That aside we had a brilliant time, the weather was perfect, the beaches are amazing as are the views over to North Wales. Coastal paths are stunning and journeys to visit places are short. Well worth booking a trip.

"Fabulous time on Angelsey, stunning scenery, lovely weather, lovely people, ..."
Fabulous time on Angelsey, stunning scenery, lovely weather, lovely people, interesting places to visit , highly recommend the sea zoo
-
"Great location - central to all of Anglesey."
Owners checked we were ok and offered some recommendations on places to visit. As a family of four who did lots of cooking - kitchen could have done with a little bit more equipment. The cottage was very comfy, very peaceful and would recommend as a base to explore the fabulous Anglesey.
-
"Very nice cottage - however, would value from additional crockery / cutlery otherwise have to run the dishwasher half empty."
Wi-fi whilst listed as for email, was very unreliable. Lighting in the lounge was poor - making it difficult to read. Small points but took the edge off the stay.
-
"A bit isolated in location and no real signage to help to find it off the road."
Cottage was clean and modern. Would benefit from a shelf in the downstairs bathroom, an occasional table in the lounge area to use for drinks and newspapers etc, owners were great and their doggy Ned was a welcome visitor. Would recommend this cottage to couples as there is no real playing area for kids. Loved Anglesey and bennlech beach was brilliant as it was a safe water area, shallow for a long way out.
-
"Lovely holiday, lovely cottage but didn’t realise that it was rather remote."
Needed to use the car every day!
-
"Our 1st visit to Anglesey was made very special by the very comfortable, central, setting of this lovely cottage."
A beautiful island with friendly and helpful people, especially Paul and Bethan. Thank you.
-
"Cottage is lovely and Paul and Bethan very helpful."
Unfortunately we had to cut short our stay due to my wife being unwell but we would definitely choose this cottage in the future. Thank You. Tom & Jean
-
"A beautifully appointed cottage in a fantastic location for exploring all corners of Anglesey."
And then snuggling in front of a the wood burner in the evenings- bliss! It was a pity that the garden wasn't fully enclosed. It would have been nice to just relax in the garden safely with the dog. Otherwise it was perfect for my needs and the owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful; thank you so much!

"We had a fabulous holiday in Bodfan Penial."
Bethan and Paul thought of most things inc a bbq. We would of liked a cd player or something to play music on. The cottage was wonderful and clean and a great size for the 4 of us. Our grandson loved the cows and rabbits in the field next door. It is in a great place to explore the island as nothing is too far away. Its very peaceful as its set off the road. Would recommend it to anyone.

"The cottage is ideally situated in the centre of Anglesey and had everything needed to be fully self catering."
The owners are on site, very approachable but not intrusive. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed the local beaches as well as a trip to Holy Island. Local convenience store and using Asda as a via point kept us well stocked. Lovely sunsets from the cottage. Access to a dryer would be handy if the weather not up to drying towels etc.
-
"A super holiday cottage with excellent facilities and in a lovely quiet location."
Anglesey is a fabulous place to visit with lots of interesting places to see and some of the best beaches anywhere. The Owners, Paul and Bethan were so friendly and helpful it just added to our perfect holiday.
-
"Lovely people who couldn't have done more to help and make us feel welcome."
-
"This is a lovely, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped cottage."
The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Great central location for visiting all parts of the island.
-
"Bodfan cottage is centrally located and is therefore an excellent base for exploring Anglesey."
It is very well appointed, comfortable and cosy and the owners are extremely helpful and friendly.
-
"This cottage was bright, spotlessly clean and comfortable even though we booked it a moment's notice."
The owners were helpful and friendly without being the slightest bit intrusive. The bathroom was to die for! Beautifully appointed. We could get to all four corners of the Island very quickly from this central location. The only drawbacks were that the little garden wasn't enclosed so we couldn't sit outside with the dog unless we tied him up, and also there was only one teaspoon!

About the location
LLANERCHYMEDD
Moelfre 7 miles; Benllech 7 miles; Snowdonia 25 miles.
Benllech and Moelfre, on the east coast are 7 miles away; Snowdonia 25 miles.
The former market town of Llanerchymedd is located in the heart of picturesque Anglesey, providing a gateway to the superb beaches around the coastline. Llanerchymedd was once home to a thriving cobblers’ industry with over 250 shoemakers in the town and numerous corn mills to provide food for the cobblers and also to supply the traders at the market. The village now offers a smaller community feeling, with two village pubs and the old station cafe serving food, a small village shop, chip shop and launderette, which should provide for most of your daily needs. The freshwater reservoirs of Llyn Cefni and Llyn Alaw offer an attractive circular walk and numerous country paths. Closeby is Mynydd Bodafon Mountain, a picturesque beauty spot to enjoy picnics and walks. Moelfre and Benllech are the nearest coastal villages on the east coast. Moelfre is a delightful fishing village, boasting little cottages, a picturesque pebbled beach, a working lifeboat station and two quality pubs and restaurants. There are stunning sandy beaches nearby at Benllech, Lligwy and the lovely Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open sands and birdlife. Within these areas there are many eateries for you to choose from. A perfect location for travelling around this lovely island and throughout beautiful Snowdonia.
