  • "Hi! I did leave a note on the coffee table re: a couple of things."

As an Airbnb host myself I welcome helpful feedback. As reported, the metal protruding birdcage decoration fell off the wall, hitting my sister on the shoulder. Whilst a lovely thing, the narrow hallway is not the best position. Maybe the flat metal tree wall ornament from the kitchen could go in the hall & the cage in the kitchen? Either way, as the hall wall is plasterboard, it needs the appropriate rawlplugs. The freezer was completely frozen solid & requires immediate disconnection & defrosting. A number of towels would need to be placed in the fridge & on the floor. Apart from costing a fortune to run, we would have been unable to use it had we wished to do so. Whilst looking sparkling clean, I had to slide under the double bed in the room with the wardrobe to recover an earring. It was absolutely filthy under there & I was covered from neck to toe in dust & hair. If a cleaning company is used, they need contacting. One of the knobs on the 2 drawer dresser was off when we arrived, & in the drawer with the screw. I tried to reattach it but it requires a slightly longer screw and/or a drop of superglue. We couldn’t find the blue IKEA bags we were to put the bedding & towels into as per the written instructions. A couple of mm’s needs shaving off the bottom of the kitchen door as it jams on the flooring. Please don’t misunderstand me, the apartment is lovely & we had a great week and the location is superb! Please contact me should you require any further clarification/information. p.s. An extra bin bag would have been nice for the rubbish bin on a one week stay

The property was spotless and it was a lovely touch to have included a welcome pack for the guests. I would definitely recommend

  • "The location of the property is ideal."

Beaumaris is a a picturesque town with plenty to see and do. I stayed with my elderly Aunt and we had a lovely time together but we found a few issues with the property: 1. No shower mat 2. No shelf in shower (metal holder has huge gaps so things slip thru) 3. Freezer section in fridge frozen up. 4. Shelf missing in fridge. 5. Bedroom lightbulbs don't work. 6. Bedside light can't be adjusted for reading. 7. Mattress in second bedroom uncomfortable. 8. Lounge furniture uncomfortable. 9. Extractor fan in kitchen doesn't work. 10. Contact details in information folder has the wrong address. 11. Couldn't find visitor book or notebook referred to in the information folder. I left some written notes but don't know if they were passed on to the landlord. Being a landlord myself I know how important it is to maintain the standard of the property and to know if things aren't working etc. I hope this feedback is helpful.

  • "A lovely place to stay."

Very comfortable and everything we needed for our week away. The rooms were light, airy and spacious. Nicely furnished with a well equipped kitchen. Plenty of amenities close by. A good base for our first visit to the island.

  • "Overall the property was acceptable but we were not allowed to use the use the front veiw because of waist bins and could not use the rear because the area was filthy."

The table was covered in bird poo which was not recent. Things got worse when the door lock failed abd we were locked in.

  • "Excellent apartment bang in the centre of Beaumaris but very peaceful and quiet."

Large main bedroom with very comfy bed, I agree with a previous guest that the second bedroom is very small to have a double bed but we didn’t use it so not an issue for us. Lovely lounge and big kitchen with everything you should need if you choose to cook but there are plenty of pubs and restaurants for some excellent food and drink. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Beaumaris!! Loved it ❤️

  • "Nice property for us on ground floor, very convenient and well located, but second bedroom too small for double bed located, in there."

Lack of attention to detail. House book very scanty with little information to explain the facilities. No instructions for recycling - "just put in black bag". When bins were finally sorted (all laid on floor in heap on arrival). No bin for food waste. Upstairs apartment put everything in general waste bin demonstrating a lack of environmental awareness. Poor maintenance, pots full of dead plants and needed weeding, outside area at rear very unkempt. Move the broken brush and buy a new one, so you can sweep the courtyard. Stayed in lots of holiday cottages and apartments but never in one with only one red wine glass!!

hi, thank you for your review, all your points are valid and appreciated. we have returned recently to Raglan Bach to remedy all your points. Our waste removal company have strict rules on recycling and what goes thank again for your recycling, they recycle all waste at there site, they're very strict on finding bins miss filled. Thank you for review and hope you return in the future, I will make sure you have a extra special red wine glasses. Jeff and Alison Property Owner

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
