  • "The new bathroom was lovely and the carpets that had been replaced were so new that they still had the lovely "new carpet smell."

" The main bedroom had also been newly decorated and was a very restful space. I have stayed in a few properties at this time of year, and this was the first time I was turning the thermostat down as I was too warm! I have everything I needed and it was a good base to wall some of the coastal path.

  • "Very disappointed with this place."

The kitchen & all the crockery, cutlery. cooking utensils & pots& pans were absolutely filthy. The worktop & table were sticky & loads of crumbs. The toaster had dead flies in. Carpets throughout need a good clean. Doggy smell in the lounge. The shower tray wobbled & the seals leaked water onto the bathroom floor. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable.

  • "The cottage looked very nice on line , on arrival first impressions were good, but not as clean as l would like, a few cobwebs, window sills with dead flies, shower in need of tlc regarding the sealant around the base, wash basin very small not hardly big enough to wash or shave, had to use kitchen sink( not ideal) sofas not very comfortable but that may be our personal choice , also dining table had old crumbs in the grooves, beds were comfy and clean, not 5 mins walk to the beach as said in the info , no welcome pack as mentioned by previous guests, only a bottle of milk that was out of date the next day."

  • "Though listed as "superb", that was not our view."

Parts of the house were fine e.g. the sittingroom but the bathroom needs a lot of work. Badly organised and in need of updating and cleaning. Much of the house needs to be refurbished and the cobwebs removed. Mattress was very hard and duvets were too heavy for summertime. All in all we felt the property was very expensive for the overall condition.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you were not fully satisfied with the property. The owner believes the property is as listed and pictured on the website and that the property is cleaned thoroughly between each stay. We are sorry the mattress was not to your preference; this can be subjective so it is hard to please everyone. Had you contacted us or the owner, we would have been happy to assist but we received no contact prior to this feedback. We hope you enjoyed your stay otherwise and the lovely weather. the dvd player wouldnt turn on, suspect a faultly on / off switch. the mattess on the single bed was noisy so my partner was unable to sleep on it. she had to use the sofa pull out bed as we dont share the same bedroom due to personal problems. hall carpet needs attention as could cause a Trip hazard. but overhall we liked our stay and so convenient to visit places.

Thank you for your feedback so glad that you had a good time, your right Chy Bean is a excellent base for exploring North Wales and going the other way Chester , Liverpool, and much more . • "Lovely little base for exploring, we booked ridiculously late this year due to circumstances however this met all our main requirements, beach in walking distance, convenient shops & pub."

Yes it's small - but even with two teenage boys (one taking over the sofa bed) we were quite happy even with a couple on rainy days. Shower & shower room is a perfectly adequate size, window was tricky to open for ventilation but turned out it was just stiff not locked so all good. Yes the kitchen is small but we managed to eat round the table with all four of us. Garden is lovely, the bbq cover is perished so does leak (we did have some torrential rain), we did do a bit of a repair with duct tape and left a note to inform the owner for awareness - I'd recommend checking if it needs draining and drying off before you plan to light to avoid disappointment. I was worried it'd be noisy with train and A55 so close but it surprisingly was really quiet. The train is really useful for day trips as road traffic can be awful if you want to visit certain places in the summer - we went to Conwy, roads were at a standstill a lot of the time we were there but train was so easy. Carpet in the little hall could do with looking at as it's loose on the edge to the front room which could create a trip hazard. We almost had a crisis on arrival as there was no tea pot (we drink a lot of tea) however our initial explore of the area uncovered a community shop on the high street which provided a small stack of holiday reading - and a teapot for just a few pounds which seemed like the perfect solution to us - the pot was left behind for future tea slurping visitors. Yes I could have contacted the owners and asked but the shop is well worth a visit if you've forgotten anything, I enjoyed looking round so I don't begrudge it at all. Beach is pebbles at high tide (consider beach shoes or sandals) but once the tide goes down there is huge area of sand which tends to create large sand pools ideal for children. 100% recommend and would visit again.

Great feedback thank you, first job to sort out B B Q cover . Thanks for the teapot good to know people still drink tea . Property Owner

It is a lovely home from home bungalow with a welcoming atmosphere and is immaculate throughout. It is situated in a very friendly residential area and very peaceful. We took my 84 year old mam on holiday with us and found the bungalow ideal for her, The owner even provided us with an extra step at the front door as my mam is partially sighted, which was very helpful. The Bungalow was lovely clean and in a quiet area ,there is a step to get into the Bungalow which you need to be careful of when raining, We had to buy a frying pan for eggs as the one that was supplied was not very good everything stuck in it. The kitchen had everything you need except roasting trays for the oven. The double bed was very comfortable, the single bed springs were noisey when you moved or turned over but did not disturb your sleep much. The shower cubicle was one of the smallest I've been but I managed how my partner who is 6ft 3 struggled. I would stay again as it's in an ideal location for getting about north Wales.

  • "The bungalow was in a good location for visiting the surrounding areas."

It was tidy and had all which was required but we were a little disappointed that we were not informed the washing machine was out of order especially since I spoke with the owner the night before we got there. Some of the shower room accessories where rusty and needed replacing. The kitchen was well equipped and clean and the milk was gratefully received however some of the coffee and the two small packs of biscuits left for us to use on our arrival were out of date. We were grateful for the hand sanitiser which was left around the bungalow during this unprecedented time. We did enjoy our day and these are just small niggles which could make it a perfect rental if rectified.

  • "The cottage is well equipped with a well equipped, albeit small, kitchen."

Seating in the kitchen is difficult due to the size of the kitchen, and it would make sense to use the side room as an extension of the kitchen. A washing machine and dishwasher are provided, making things a lot easier. The conservatory overlooking the well kept garden and the fields and mountains beyond makes a great rest area after a long day exploring. The location is quiet, yet close enough to the towns of Abergele, Towny and Rhyl. The beach is close by, but consider travelling to Kinmell Bay instead. Only complaint about the property is the beds. Pillows are overly soft, and the single bet mattress is very very noisy. It was so loud that our son who was sleeping in that bed was constantly being woken up by it.

Thank you for your feedback, feedback is very important to us and we take great pride in the very positive comments made by our guests. The bed mentioned has a pocket spring mattress and we have not had any previous comments regarding this but we will of course check this. Thank you once more for your feedback and we hope you had a lovely stay. Property Owner

  • "A lovely bungalow on a quiet estate, with pleasant neighbours."

Yes, the bathroom is very small but it is still perfectly adequate - though a second set of towels per person would be useful for stays of more than 3 days. The only real problem we encountered was that the tin opener (a very old-style implement) broke when we tried to use it, and the replacement we bought was also very difficult to use. Suggest replacing it with a modern ‘magi-can’ style opener. Overall, though, we can definitely say that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others.

The wash-hand basin is small and there is very little space to leave your wash bag etc. We had to walk to the wash-hand basin and reverse out from it. There is no blind on the shower room window.
