"Superb location, most things great, lovely accommodation, everything we needed ..."
Superb location, most things great, lovely accommodation, everything we needed except for stair gate didn't fit, would have been handy to keep dogs from wondering upstairs
-
"On arrival the property appeared clean and comfortable."
The location was great. On site parking very handy. The hot tub was fab. Would book again. There were a few things that need mentioning around safety - the kitchen tap needed some attention. We lit the fire one evening - it smelt very unpleasant - needs checking. Overall the property needs some TLC / maintenance.

"Great house in a great location."
Main reason we booked was due to it having an electric charger however this did not work and when we read the guest book this was flagged as an issue back in June. On Arrival we checked the back garden to ensure it was secure for our dog to find it full of dog poo from the last guests. Cupboards in the kitchen had not been cleaned nor had living room table which was very dusty and a few other areas in the property. The house Is definitely in need of some TLC as the handrail on the stairs was loose as well as the kitchen tab. Overall great location just the cleanliness that let it down
-
"The property is beautiful , and good proximity to shops bars & beach."
The property was very clean and had great facilities. The house does need some TLC , the beds were like camp beds, the tiles in the bathroom with the bath were loose and wobbly . The door strip looks like it’s been eaten between the kitchen and entrance. The roof over the hot tub drips when raining. Not enough outside seating covers if there were a family staying. Other than the above it’s a great place to stay.

"Very enjoyable stay, the staff we met when we arrived were very informative, friendly and welcoming."
Although we found that the plumbing would need looking at in the master en-suite (a trickle only coming out of the bath) and hot water in the toilet flush and cold water tap. We made full use of the hot tub which was very relaxing. Apart from a couple of niggly bits the house was very well equipped, well looked after. The place was clean, tidy and peaceful. And also very close to the beach. Very happy to recommend to friends and family

"The house was a need of a little TLC."
We did have an amazing stay though and the house was very clean. The tiles in the en suite bathroom were loose and require refitting/grout required on many.. the toilet flush refill appears to be attached to the hot water. But the bathroom had everyone needed, nice bath! In the lounge on two occasions I nearly tripped on the fire up-stand, maybe place a planter on there? In the garden it was nice to have flags and grass. There is one flag I felt was a little dangerous the one between the shower and the hot tub it is loose and the pergola frame leg is standing on this one. Also where the grass ends and the flags start to the steps that is a trip hazard. The knifes in the block were not great other than the bread knife and could do with replacing. Would be nice to have a king bed, but I appreciate the rooms a quite restrictive so you may not be able to fit one in. It felt like a home, and the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely book again

"The location of Meadow View is great, very close to the beach and to explore the rest of Anglesey."
The house is on a plot with 2 other identical properties. We weren't disturbed but I chose to close the kitchen blind and lounge curtain for privacy. When booking I was drawn by the photos and reviews. Having staying in ample holiday cottage this one did not meet my expectation, due to the finish of the workmanship in the property, kitchen tap not fitted property, missing grout in both upstairs bathroom floor tiles and broken toilet holder as example. I would advise some attention to detail, the furniture ia dated, the garden needs attention and the grass should have been cut, hand wash to be provided in the bathrooms, 2 toilet roll per bathroom would have been acceptable, some personalised touches in the home for example, Benllech photos, a photo of Anglesey. There was nothing to indicate you were in Wales or just to make the house more homely. If these things don't bother you there's nothing necessarily wrong with this property. It was clean and comfortable, great location and ideal for 6 people sharing the cost.

"We stayed in this beautiful, modern house for two nights with our two sons and our dog."
On arrival the house was immaculate and had everything we needed for a great stay. We made good use of the log burner and hot tub. Location is good, five minute walk to local pubs, restaurants and a further 5 minute walk to the beach. We had a great stay and would recommend to others
-
"The house was lovely, spacious and in an ideal location."
It was very well equipped and even provided the use of dressing gowns for the hot tub. All bedding and towels were included. The beach was within walking distance and there were plenty of eating places close by so ideal for a weekend break or even longer.
-
"Meadow View cottage is a beautiful and well equipped property, full of all the conveniences needed for a home from home."
We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. Just a short walk to local amenities and the beautiful beach.
-
"Brilliant location, fantastic property, didn’t want for anything as it was all provided for."
Would definitely book again & recommend to others
-
"The location was really good and the beds were very comfortable The curtains and blinds in the main bedroom need replacing, the curtains & blinds were too short so let the light in."
Could do with locks on the bathroom doors and a shower mat for inside the shower as my mother in law slipped in the shower. I would visit again but just for a weekend as we stayed for the week

"We really enjoyed our week at Meadow View."
The property was beautifully clean and well equipped. However the sloping ceiling in the en-suite was a bit challenging when standing at the sink - mind your head! A couple of minor points, it would benefit with somewhere for us ladies to sit and do hair & makeup in the main bedroom as currently have to stand up and a normal hairdryer would be much easier to use than the one provided. Benllech beach was great for the dog and lots of lovely beaches in the vicinity. Can recommend the Talent House for Chinese, the Golden Fry for amazing fish & chips and Pebbles for a lovely meal out. I would certainly recommend and would love to return.

"The place is actually even better than it’s photos !"
What a beautiful welcome we got - spotless and lovely and warm We wanted for nothing a real home from home Close to the beach and a great little Tesco should you forget anything Thank you for having us - the hot tub is calling us back already :)
-
"Such a beautiful cottage and well maintained."
So clean and comfortable and spacious. I only wished we could have stayed longer. The only problem was lack of Wi-Fi but it is expected out in the sticks. Would recommend to anyone.

"Lovely home in a lovely relaxing location."
Patio doors in bedroom and front lounge are a little bit dodgy need looking at. A breakfast hamper for the morning after arrival would make this holiday home a 10 as arriving after 5pm for check in and then rushing around to get food after a 3 hour journey was a faff. Beds are really comfy! Overall has a brilliant stay
-
"Excellent weeks stay and lucky with weather again - only thing missing is some pyrex cookware for cooking in oven"
-
"Meadow View Cottage is a wonderful, spacious, clean and modern cottage with all amenities and requirements especially the garden recliners and chairs, and hot tub, which was a wonderful way to end the day after spending time on the numerous beaches around Anglesey, especially Benllech which is just down the road -the views in the area are spectacular and there is alot to do in the vicinity."
The owner and housekeeper were extremely friendly and helpful, and I would easily recommend it to others!
Thank you for the great feedback and are very happy you enjoyed your stay, we hope that we see you again in the future. Property Owner

"We have dogs with us so it limited where we could stay but overall it exceeded our expectations all through the stay."
Absolutely nothing wrong with this accommodation, very comfortable, modern and we felt like we were at home. Adrian came round and made sure we didn’t have any wet sun loungers which was thoughtful he couldn’t have done enough for us. Also we appreciated the added touches of alcohol and soft drinks already there. House keeping could do with putting all plates and cutlery etc in the dishwasher before we arrived as a ‘few’ plates were covered in a bit of food- not to worry as we could use the dishwasher and wash them again but more of a faff. Also very close to many facilities beach, convenient shops and restaurants. However it was very difficult to find a booking in a few of these restaurant to eat in locally, most of them were only open Wednesday- Saturday. Fish and chip shop down the road was excellent must I add and a life saver on a few occasions if we didn’t fancy cooking. ☺️

"The bedrooms in this property are compact."
The owners have clearly run out of budget and bought cheap second hand bits of furniture to put in them. The bedroom with the ensuite bathroom had a pullout computer desk to store clothes, which was covered in dust I might add. So there is no hanging space for clothes in this room. There is also no wardrobe/hanging space for clothes in the bedroom that overlooks the bathroom. They seem to have concluded putting two clothes rails in a cupboard on the landing is an acceptable solution. It isn’t in my book. I would strongly suggest getting rid of the dressing table (which had a miss-matching chair which is too low for it) from the bedroom facing the garden and putting in a wardrobe. I would also suggest getting rid of the computer desk in the other room and putting a wardrobe in there. I realise it would have to be half-height as the angle of the roof prevents full height, but it would be better than what’s there! The under-sink storage unit drawer in the ensuite has a drawer that opens about 10cm because the towel rail blocks it. The bath has no bath plug, so what’s the point?! The child gate for the stairs is broken, we had to use a lump of timber we found outside the back door to wedge it up. They have put a fence in which stops you being able to walk from the hot tub to the back door in order to access the downstairs shower room (utter stupidity). The shower tray fascia was hanging off in this bathroom. The kitchen was largely ok, except the ice-making unit in the freezer was broken and pushed the door open, so had to be taken out. The lounge/dining room was ok, I can confirm they have put a 6 seater dining table and chairs in which were not pictured in the listing at the time of our booking. The hot tub was good, heated on arrival so good to go day 1. There is a table and 6 chairs in the garden. Also 2 sun loungers and 4 seats which had cushions in a storage box. When the sun was out it covered most of the garden except the hot tub. They could do with putting a mat to wipe your feet outside the patio door, you end up bringing in a lot of grass if it has been recently mown - which based on our experience was the case. There are two three seater leather sofas, good, comfortable. Plus another sofa, looks like a click-clack one, not sure. But plenty of seating for 6 without being on top of one another. Ultimately if the above doesn’t bother you too much then go, but they just need to finesse the stupid mess ups in the place. Location is great walk down the hill to the little Tesco, takeaways then on to the beach which is glorious. This is one of three identical properties tucked on to this plot of land. We managed to squeeze three cars beside this property where the other two only have space out front for cars so 1 maybe 2 at most, otherwise you’d have to park on the street, which wasn’t overall busy in June.

"A few things need to be attended too."
Need to clear up the waste building material not a good llook for 1st impressions. Wood for log burner had ben painted and full of nails. Some windows you could close, some locks didn't work 2 door handles missing. Could only use 1 out of 3 showers at the same time. If someone used a tap or flushed the toilet no water was available elsewhere in the house. Fridge ice and cold water dispenser didn't work. Main bedroom needs curtains, no mirrors in bathrooms, no wardrobes in 2 out of 3 bedrooms. Parking, nobody knows where their 2 car parking spaces are? Overall great location, great local pubs/restaurant's, great beaches. Sort out water pressure, tidy up outside, mark out designated parking places are top of our list to make it 5 star.
-
"Lovely location, and well furnished."
However, there is a distinct lack of blinds in the kitchen, basic crockery (plates and bowls), pans, a cafetière or coffee maker would be useful. A starter pack for the wood burner with kindling and fire staters would have been appreciated. Somewhere to store dirty/sandy shoes would also be useful. We did not find it particularly practical accessing the hot tub from the lounge, use of the back door straight to and from the shower room would be better.
-
"Lovely stay, very near to all local amenities."
Had an issue with the hot tub and the house keeper was super helpful, again with the heating and she was very accommodating and a great help. Even set up another house just in case it didn’t come back on so we weren’t cold over night! She was lovely and did fix the heating and helped to get the tub going again. Apart from two little hiccups it was a great stay, the dogs loved the back garden and log burner but not as much as how close the house was to the beach!
Many thanks for your feedback and I am pleased that the housekeeper was able to assist you so promptly. Property Owner

"We really enjoyed our weeks stay at Meadow View."
As with some of the previous comments, there are a few missing bits like mirrors, storage space in some of the bedrooms. The location of the proposed fantastic for local shops and places to eat as well as enjoying blustery walks on the beach. The Christmas decor was a lovely touch too. There are a few areas in the house that feel would help: The bedrooms doors don’t shut without a good push which then bangs too. No small glasses in the kitchen as well as no jug/mixing bowl. A folder with information regarding the property and local information (restaurants, shops, places to visit)
Hi, thanks for leaving this review we would like to let you know that all of these issues have been rectified including fixing the problem with the doors, lack of crockery & adding a folder detailing all areas of interest nearby, thanks a lot. Hope to see you again. Property Owner

"A lovely cottage which was well presented."
We loved the hot tub and the log burner for cold evenings! Quiet location but close to the town of Benllech with everything you'd need and a gorgeous beach. Just a small thing, a hoover and mop would have been useful to keep it clean during our stay.

"Great support from owner of the cottages when needed."
-
"Beautiful house with fantastic facilities."
Comfortable beds and very spacious with a lovely garden. The location is perfect and very close to the village centre. You can see the sea from upstairs bedrooms. Just needs some mirrors hanging upstairs and a dressing table. Would definitely recommend.

"Great location and property."
The layout is nice and spacious. Also met the owner who was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly recommend
