  • "We had a lovely break the accommodation was first class, the only problem was the television, we have stayed in many places that said it was a smart television and we have always got free view and loads of channels but there was no aerial, you had to put apps on the television to get the channels you wanted."

For people who are not technically minded it was difficult and spoiled the holiday, for the benefit of other guests who are not technically minded like us ,please rectify this problem as soon as possible.

  • "An excellent holiday property."

Very well equipped with everything we needed. Added extras made the stay very comfortable. The location of the property, close to Benllech beach, was an added bonus We would certainly look to book again in the future Thank you to the hosts

  • "We had a lovely stay and the house… it had great views of the sea, it was light and bright in a fantastic location, a few minutes walk to the beach in Benllech and to the local shops."

We all liked the fact it seemed recently renovated, parking was easy, with plenty of kitchen equipment and enough sofa space, for three adults and two children not to be on top of each other. My niece loved playing with the toys from the toy-box and spying on ships with the binoculars! The upstairs bedrooms and ensuite were a particular highlight- fresh, cosy and modern. We all gave a thumbs up for how comfy the beds were, as that’s often not the case when on holiday. We all liked the bedding and fluffy towels too. I’ve stayed in many four/five rated cottages over the years and I think the house is up there, but…there’s always a but! Level of cleaning: There were short dog hairs all over the scatter cushions and a few long human ones in the living area and on the throw on the bed downstairs and on the duvet. This meant my first thirty minutes when arriving was locating the hoover and hoovering the sofa and picking off dog hairs off the bed. The hoover itself smelled of wet dog and was filthy. I like dogs by the way, so this isn’t an anti-dog moan, if the house allows pets it needs to be thoroughly cleaned, along with a good dust on the downstairs headboard/ furniture, all the window sills and moving objects in the kitchen counter not wiping round them. It looked like it had just had a quick hoover. If you can’t check in until 4pm, I expected it to be spotless. A few suggestions by the other adults staying, in no particular order! The T.V. needs to be connected to the aerial so the ‘Freeview’ / live T.V. can be watched. It’s odd it isn’t as it’s easy to do, especially as there is an aerial socket. You don’t always want to watch subscription channels. It would be a great help if guest pack had help in how to use the Nest heating thermostat. Saves ‘Googling’ it ! You want the least effort in doing things when you are on holiday, not looking for aerials in the roof or mauals. A welcome pack… or just a pint of milk. More tea-towels. We had one. I’m sure the review sounds like we are fuss pots, that’s not the case, it’s just the house is lovely and could be amazing if the cleaning and tech was easier. Having said all of that, I’ve rebooked, can’t be that bad eh? Let’s hope the hairs have gone and a new hoover has been purchased!!!

  • "We absolutely loved our week away in this 5 star house."

The house is very spacious and comfortable, and the garden is large and completely secure for our little dog. The house is on a very quiet residential road and only a 5 minute walk downhill to the amazing Benllech beach. Although in a quiet location, you are only a short walk from the pubs, cafes and shops of Benllech. We will definitely come back.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay here, everything was clean and the location was great with views of the sea from every window."

Our only complaint was the problem over the TV was never resolved and no one got back to us to solve the problem. (Modern technology- if this is progress you can keep it).

  • "We had a perfect stay here."

It was fully equipped with everything you needed and all the little added touches for the baby which saved us! Views of the beach was perfect and it was a small walk to the beach. Lots of things around you too, perfect location. House was spotless on arrival. Garden was immaculate. We didn’t want to come home. Would 100% stay here again!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay here."

The property and garden are lovely and it is very well equipped. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach and to local shops. Having read the first review I called the owner about the hot water who was very helpful and he quickly responded where the instructions are and there is a welcome folder with all the information also there is a cafetiere and hairdryer in a bedroom drawer. Lovely kitchen and bathrooms too, would definitely stay there again.

  • "We had a short break in august; 3 adults and 3 teenagers 1 dog; really lovely spacious house and garden and brilliant sea views close to beach and other facilities."

Unfortunately sleeping arrangements weren't ideal as the beds were not zip linked beds and, when I realised this. I also found out that Sykes don't allow for any changes to the booking; there was no cooling off period. So I couldn't make any changes before the start of our holiday. The facilities were great: lovely terrace and dining room etc. we wondered if we were the first to use the house as there weren't any other reviews: there were some gaps not serious e.g.no cafetiere, no hairdryer and no details about how to turn the hot water on as we had no hot water in the taps. More information would have been useful. Thanks anyway a great house in a great place.
