"Lovely place, great size garden and great location."
Would recommend to anyone looking at staying on Anglesey. Minor comments, suggest upstairs shower upgrade as the flow is far too weak, downstairs shower was fine. Also a key for the front external, porch door would have been great as expensive jackets, and boots etc were left in there overnight and it would have been nice to secure them. There is another door to secure the house inside the porch. Checkout could have been a bit later also (currently 10am) as we felt a bit rushed on departure day, other than that lovely clean place

"As highlighted on 11th April when we arrived at 4pm to find property had not been cleaned ."
Kitchen floors worktops covered in sand / food ; toilets very dirty , beds unmade. Despite being told by Sykes a cleaner was en route it was 6pm before a cleaner arrived ( who was lovely and very apologetic and totally unaware of the issue and had been called at 5pm to try and resolve ) cleaning not complete until 7.15pm ; we were there for 2 nights only so this ate into our time considerably and took the shine out of our break ( which was supposed to be to recuperate after illness ) . Although offered money to go out for food , after a 9am and travelling all day with a 93 year old all we wanted to do was rest so offer was not acceptable. Such a shame as property is so lovely but break was spoilt for us

"We hadn’t come across that heating system before and when it didn’t work, there was great difficulty contacting Sykes!"
! Fortunately when the “engineer” was able to come he got it working quickly. We noticed others had had heating problems also. When you’re in your 80s or have a young baby, hot water and heating are extremely important.
Apart from that 24 hours of problems, the bungalow was lovely, and we enjoyed the sea view!

"Absolutely fantastic holiday home."
Superb location, close to the gorgeous beach and shops/pubs/bus stop. Beds very comfortable and shower was great. House was lovely and warm ( we travelled Feb) which was great. Unfortunately both toilet seats were broken for the duration of our stay, we reported this to Sykes upon arrival on the Saturday, again on the Monday and for a third time on the Wednesday and never once heard back from them. Very disappointed at Sykes customer service, not up to their usual standards- wouldn’t put us off returning to this property though. Kitchen very well stocked with everything you could need, great to have the washing machine for the dogs towels and the downstairs wet room was a blessing as was so easy to shower the dog off on returning from the beach. Lovely enclosed garden which gets the sun all day long and a sea view. Lots of games and toys for the kids if you’re travelling as a family. Nice to have some bits left to get started such as dishwasher/washing machine tablets, condiments etc. we will definitely be booking this home again for next winter, one of the best we’ve stayed it. The following aren’t criticisms , rather suggestions to enhance an already fabulous accommodation:
- bath mat for the en-suite
- Dustpan and brush (there is a hoover but didn’t pick up so we’ll)
- Carton of milk in the fridge for arrival. We had quite a long journey and didn’t bring milk as everywhere we have stayed before has always left one in the fridge
- instructions on how to use the Nest heating. It seemed to be on most of the day which kept the house lovely and warm, however we were out all day every day so really didn’t need it on so much
In summary, a fabulous home from home. Would definitely recommend this property and we will be back. Thanks for a great holiday!

"An outstanding holiday home."
We tend to stay in holiday cottages around 3 times a year, taking our 2 dogs with us. I have no hesitation in saying that this is without doubt the best we have stayed in. Spacious, clean and perfectly equipped. The garden is fully enclosed and well maintained. The location is just perfect, in one of the towns nicest roads, a short stroll down the hill to the beach and quite close to a great pub (The Breeze Hill) which does excellent food and is dog friendly. Several shops, takeaways and restaurants are also a few minutes walk away. The kitchen lacked for nothing and the beds are extremely comfortable. I note previous guests had issues with the smart TV......clearly this has been sorted and it is now hooked up to 'normal' live TV as well as offering access to Apps such as Netflix and Amazon if you bring your login. We tend to visit Benllech once a year and will definitely try to book here again. A great break, even with storm Daragh!

"We had a lovely break the accommodation was first class, the only problem was the television, we have stayed in many places that said it was a smart television and we have always got free view and loads of channels but there was no aerial, you had to put apps on the television to get the channels you wanted."
For people who are not technically minded it was difficult and spoiled the holiday, for the benefit of other guests who are not technically minded like us ,please rectify this problem as soon as possible.

"An excellent holiday property."
Very well equipped with everything we needed. Added extras made the stay very comfortable.
The location of the property, close to Benllech beach, was an added bonus
We would certainly look to book again in the future
Thank you to the hosts

"We had a lovely stay and the house… it had great views of the sea, it was light and bright in a fantastic location, a few minutes walk to the beach in Benllech and to the local shops."
We all liked the fact it seemed recently renovated, parking was easy, with plenty of kitchen equipment and enough sofa space, for three adults and two children not to be on top of each other.
My niece loved playing with the toys from the toy-box and spying on ships with the binoculars!
The upstairs bedrooms and ensuite were a particular highlight- fresh, cosy and modern. We all gave a thumbs up for how comfy the beds were, as that’s often not the case when on holiday. We all liked the bedding and fluffy towels too. I’ve stayed in many four/five rated cottages over the years and I think the house is up there, but…there’s always a but!
Level of cleaning:
There were short dog hairs all over the scatter cushions and a few long human ones in the living area and on the throw on the bed downstairs and on the duvet. This meant my first thirty minutes when arriving was locating the hoover and hoovering the sofa and picking off dog hairs off the bed. The hoover itself smelled of wet dog and was filthy. I like dogs by the way, so this isn’t an anti-dog moan, if the house allows pets it needs to be thoroughly cleaned, along with a good dust on the downstairs headboard/ furniture, all the window sills and moving objects in the kitchen counter not wiping round them. It looked like it had just had a quick hoover.
If you can’t check in until 4pm, I expected it to be spotless.
A few suggestions by the other adults staying, in no particular order!
The T.V. needs to be connected to the aerial so the ‘Freeview’ / live T.V. can be watched. It’s odd it isn’t as it’s easy to do, especially as there is an aerial socket. You don’t always want to watch subscription channels.
It would be a great help if guest pack had help in how to use the Nest heating thermostat. Saves ‘Googling’ it ! You want the least effort in doing things when you are on holiday, not looking for aerials in the roof or mauals.
A welcome pack… or just a pint of milk.
More tea-towels. We had one.
I’m sure the review sounds like we are fuss pots, that’s not the case, it’s just the house is lovely and could be amazing if the cleaning and tech was easier. Having said all of that, I’ve rebooked, can’t be that bad eh? Let’s hope the hairs have gone and a new hoover has been purchased!!!

"We absolutely loved our week away in this 5 star house."
The house is very spacious and comfortable, and the garden is large and completely secure for our little dog. The house is on a very quiet residential road and only a 5 minute walk downhill to the amazing Benllech beach. Although in a quiet location, you are only a short walk from the pubs, cafes and shops of Benllech. We will definitely come back.

"We really enjoyed our stay here."
The property and garden are lovely and it is very well equipped. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach and to local shops. Having read the first review I called the owner about the hot water who was very helpful and he quickly responded where the instructions are and there is a welcome folder with all the information also there is a cafetiere and hairdryer in a bedroom drawer. Lovely kitchen and bathrooms too, would definitely stay there again.

"We had a short break in august; 3 adults and 3 teenagers 1 dog; really lovely spacious house and garden and brilliant sea views close to beach and other facilities."
Unfortunately sleeping arrangements weren't ideal as the beds were not zip linked beds and, when I realised this. I also found out that Sykes don't allow for any changes to the booking; there was no cooling off period. So I couldn't make any changes before the start of our holiday.
The facilities were great: lovely terrace and dining room etc. we wondered if we were the first to use the house as there weren't any other reviews: there were some gaps not serious e.g.no cafetiere, no hairdryer and no details about how to turn the hot water on as we had no hot water in the taps. More information would have been useful.
Thanks anyway a great house in a great place.
