"We had a lovely week in the cottage."
It included everything we needed.
As OAP’s with dodgy knees we found the two stairs up to the kitchen challenging at times but learnt not to carry things in both hands!
For the same reason we didn’t access the garden as much as we might have done.
However all in all it is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location and we would happily rent again in the future.

"Cottage is in a great location."
Very clean and tidy. Off road parking was great as the roads are small and lots of vehicles using on-road parking. Cottage had everything we needed. Owner was friendly. Was great for our family of 4 as we have 2 teenagers and they liked having a room each, they just had to remember to duck as 6 foot tall and its a small loft as it states in the description. The only problems we had was the crog loft has a sky-light window and it didn't have a blind so we had to tape cardboard to it to allow sleep otherwise you get up when the sun does! We also couldn't access the woodland walks - went to the end of the garden and through the gap in the wall but then it was all too over-grown to get any further which was a real shame. We did watch the sunset from the raised garden patio which was lovely. Would recommend.

"Splendid, well maintained and comfortable little cottage in a wonderful area."
Ideal property for our family of four which we used as as a base to explore the region. Our two teenagers enjoyed themselves as they had a room each!
Met the owner who lives close by. A real nice chap who couldn't be more helpful, with great suggestions as to what to do and see in the locality.
We would certainly consider going back to the property at some stage.
We have used Sykes Holiday Cottages on several occasions and we've always been delighted with the service.

"The cottage is lovely."
Clean, practical, and charming. It was wonderful to warm up by the log burner after a chilly walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The owner was very quick to reply to any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again.

"This amazing beautiful cottage, cosy clean and convenient for our holiday."
proximity to zip world was very much a factor in choosing this cottage, however we would stay there again many times as snowdonia has lots to offer and this calm quiet cottage is an absolute gem. Diolch yn Fawr.

"Nice little cottage."
Very polite owner.
The kitchen amenities are rather poor. Only one big bowl and just small cooking pots.
Outside facilities are difficult to use, because of the stairs.

"Great little cottage, perfect for our weekend stay."
Clean and well equipped.
My only quibble (although my son who used the room had no complaints) was that there was no curtain/blind for the skylight in the top bedroom.

"Fantastic little holiday cottage!"
Couldn’t of asked for more, it was absolutely perfect for us. We all had such a nice time and would of happily stayed there for longer.
When booking places online you can never really tell exactly what you’re going to get and in the past I’ve made a few bookings that weren’t quite what I thought they were going to be (making me a laughing stock on a few occasions) , however when we arrived here we were all instantly impressed, and this time everyone was quick to praise my booking choice for once

"We had a lovely stay at this cottage."
The owner was friendly and helpful but not intrusive.
The mattress in the double room was new (responded to previous feedback) and we both found it supportive and comfortable. Both single rooms had limited head height but this wasn't too much of an issue for our family
We were greeted with wine, biscuits and Welsh cakes (lovely thank you). The kitchen contained everything we needed and the Wi-Fi met the needs of 2 teenagers!
We felt very fortunate to have found this lovely cosy little cottage after a last minute booking (for us!)

"This property is lovely and spacious, very clean and generally well equipped with ample off road parking across the road."
The layout worked well for a family with two children, the kids loved their cosy, comfortable bedrooms. The TV in the master bedroom was a nice touch as it meant we could watch TV in the evenings without disturbing the kids sleeping in the rooms off the living room. The outside space is very pleasant. The host lives nearby and popped by after we arrived to check all is ok which was lovely. There was a generous welcome gift of wine, local treats and some biscuits and sweets for the children.
The property is in a very pretty and quiet area well located to explore Snowdonia and Anglesey. There are lots of supermarkets in nearby Bangor and a Tesco Express in Bethesda itself.
Just a couple of minor tweaks would take this property to the next level. The pipework to the boiler in the kitchen really should be boxed in and the bathroom although very clean, smelt quite damp. I agree with what a previous guest said about the beds, the double would benefit from a new mattress or good mattress topper and replacement pillows would make the world of difference as they are very flat. However these are small things that could probably be easily remedied and we still had a really nice stay.

"The cottage was nice and clean and there was a lovely welcome of wine, Welsh cakes and cookies."
The beds had no mattress protectors on and the double bed was quite uncomfortable as you could feel the springs digging into you.It would benefit from being replaced. There was a warning about there being 2 steps up into the kitchen area, but no warning about the 24 steep steps up into the garden, with no handrails. As my husband and son both have limited mobility, this meant that they were completely unable to access the garden .We chose this cottage as the bedrooms and bathroom are all on the ground floor, so it would have been a good idea to warn that the garden was inaccessible for people with limited mobility. The owner was close by and very friendly and helpful.

"There is only one sit in restaurant nearly a mile away unless you go to Zipwire facility."
My husband has to use a walking stick so it was a bit far to walk to the restaurant so had to get a taxi. Otherwise we loved the cottage and if it was nearer to facilities we would definitely go there again

"The cottage is well situated located near the amenities in Bethesda and the rugged landscape of Snowdonia National Park."
At the top and bottom of the road are possibilities to explore the local area with the Ogwen Valley cycle route and numerous walking paths from the cottage. Locally we visited the beautiful beaches in Anglesey, Swallow Falls, Abber Falls and the Fforest Coaster at one of the Zip World Parks.
The cottage itself is well laid out and much bigger than we initially thought. It is well equipped for full self catering, as we visited during some of the restrictions. We even managed some lunch on the sunny terraced garden. The hosts were very helpful and were on hand to answer any questions.
Would highly recommend this cottage, would love to visit again.

"We, 2 adults and 2 kids, spent 4 nights in this lovely cottage."
Nice and clean, well equipped, it made our stay a very pleased experience.
The position is great, easy to access most of Snowdonia attractions and also close to Bangor where you can find all the supermarkets we need.
After daily outs we spent the evenings by the fire, playing with the kids the game found in or watching movies. It was fun.
We definitely want to come back here on out next Snowdonian holiday.
