  • "The location is great, close to all the amenities and Betws Y Coed provides a perfect base to explore Snowdonia."

If you’re lucky enough to see the sun, the benches at the front provide a sun trap into the evening. Check-in is straightforward, although it’s 4 pm not 3 pm as listed on Sykes. Milk, Welsh cakes and a few other essentials provided. The cottage itself is ok, but just needs a bit of TLC. The master bedroom has a bit of damp and the cottage smells damp. Some furnishings are tired and the fridge is quite loud. Aside from that the kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. It’s a decent place to stay in a fab location.

Apologies from Sykes Cottages for any inconvenience to you regarding our administration error on the check in time email information we sent you, and which was of course outside the owner's control, we will address this technical issue as soon as possible. Please also see the owner's own comments as follows, regarding the rest of your feedback; Thank you for your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed your welcome pack and the sunny views from the benches which is one of the unique points and proves so popular with everyone. The cottage had a full refurbishment in 2015 and is checked regularly for general maintenance and we can assure guests there is no damp. Fridge motors are of course necessary to enable a fridge to operate for our valued guests and the fridge is no noisier than to be expected when the motor is running although perhaps you noticed it more due to the lovely countryside setting, an environment which is part of the property's charm. There is no damp at the property and we regularly receive fabulous feedback and no other guest has had any issue as can be seen by other reviews we have received. We are also glad that you found the kitchen well equipped. Property Owner

The cottage is in a brilliant location in the village with its own parking , we have a 14 y + 11 y so we were happy for them to go out with a large park opposite and explore the village , zip world just up the road and also the snowdon serpa bus is 20 yards away from the door . The cottage is very spacious / clean / well kitted out etc with 3 bedrooms , julie the owner has done a great job of making the cottage a home from home , we all had a relaxing fun time . 5 star

  • "We had a lovely stay and the cottage exceeded our expectations."

The location is great, literally a stone throwaway from the train station and bus stop and right in the centre of the village. The cottage had everything we needed for our short break and was very comfortable for us. We would recommend to ours and would love to return again soon!
