  • "We had a lovely stay at this very cosy cottage."

Everything was clean, tidy and well equipped and an excellent location to explore Snowdonia. The local pub, Y Pengwern was also really welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!

The owner has considered their visitors needs well and we thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are looking for a cottage a little off the beaten track (but only a little drive to get to local spots) then this is perfect. Everyone we spoke to was polite and pleasant and the parking is right outside the cottage. Lovely little stay, we will definitely be back again!

  • "Great cottage in ideal location."

This is one of our favourite cottages in the area. We have stayed in over 30 different cottages and visit this area approximately every 2 months. The standards, comfort, facilities, cleanliness and provisions are superb. There was no concern with heating unlike some cottages that have limits on timers and low thermostat settings. The heating was really great, no restrictions to set temperature and remained on as long as you desired. So very comfy and warm. Very generous supply of logs and the wood stove was very effective (unlike some places) . The kitchen facilities has all one could possibly need for our stay. Comfy bed and plenty of space. Overall an amazing place to stay with wonderful views and parking right outside the cottage. Highly recommend

Views were gorgeous, lovely furniture and style, some lovely artwork, very comfortable bed , everything we needed in the kitchen and lovely welcome card and gifts. Garden was secure for our dog and as we had such great weather, we enjoyed sitting out- even in the evening where the stars were awesome! Great location for exploring, walks and wild swims close by. Thank you for a wonderful stay ☺️

  • "Clean cottage, nice welcome card and drinks from owner."

Lots of safety and local information. Everything in the cottage worked as it should, plenty of kitchen utensils, and was comfortable although be aware of low doorways at times! Minor improvements would be light above cooker, TV remote being renewed, maybe larger outside recycle bin, but this didn't prevent our enjoyment of the cottage. The views are astonishing, and local scenery beautiful whatever the weather. Easy driving access to Snowdonia north and south, and Lleyn. Did plenty of running and walking from the cottage, although be warned you'll need to be good with hills.

Lots of walks from the cottage and such a great base for seeing so much of that part of the world. Thank you to the owners as it was a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend staying here. I was looking for a downstairs WC. It wasn’t listed, but on arrival found there was one. This is so helpful for various reasons. The owners are lovely and very helpful. Location perfect for exploring. Cleanliness is spot on. No doggy smells anywhere. There is also Netflix, handy to know. Beds extremely comfortable. Bath is deep to step into for anyone with limited ability. Perfect, definitely recommend and re visit. Loved, loved, loved the home from home feel. Decor was warming and high class. Book , book , book you won’t be disappointed.

  • "We loved our week in 5 Bryntirion - our family of four adults now and Collie dog."

The cottage itself is cosy and warm and feels loved. The owners made us very welcome leaving us a welcome gift and card - a very personal touch. The basket of logs was much appreciated and we used the log burner all week, there are lots of throws to keep you warm and cosy if you are in. It was a real pleasure opening the curtains in the morning on one side to Manod Mawr and from the kitchen you look out onto the Moelwyns. Ffestiniog itself has so much to explore - Cwm Cynfal waterfalls were breathtaking and only a short walk away. Llyn y Cefn behind the house on the hill was literally accessed by public path behind the house. We didn’t have to get in the car much. As a hill runner and walker the area was very exciting to explore - with Manod Mawr not far away reached by rocky valleys and bluffs, Castell y Bryn fort, lakes..magical. As a climber the area has loads to explore and have fun in when the weather is good. We will definately be back - diolch yn fawr iawn x
