  • "Lovely and warm."

Great situation, close enough to Porthmadog, and public transport for coastal walks on the Llyn Peninsula, also easy access to the Snowdonia range.

  • "Borth y Gest is a beautiful seaside village."

Not only is there the main bay, but lots of other very sandy beaches just a short walk away, plus a woodland nature reserve on the side of the hillside. We loved it. Glyn Terrace felt like staying at an elderly relatives house, which had been updated with a new kitchen and bathrooms. Everything worked well and it was cosy and warm, even when the wind was howling. The beds were comfortable, as were the sofas. We particularly loved the view of the distant mountains, across the bay, from the dining room table.

  • "A lovely place for a seaside family holiday with dogs."

Short walk to a choice of dog-friendly beaches. Lovely nearby woods. The cottage is comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. The barbecue works well. We enjoyed eating out in the garden most evenings on cosy garden settees. No.6 Glyn Terrace provided us with a memorable family holiday

It was ideal for children and dogs.

  • "A well looked after cottage."

Much better than last year in Abersoch where I had to fix the washing machine, my wife had to clear the air flow from the tumble dryer and the dishwasher had no way to turn on that we found. My wife suggested that the sheets were getting a bit worn. A minor problem was addressed by the owner.

  • "This cottage was warm and relaxing (we have stayed in more moderner accommodation but they have not been as comfortable."

) It had a lovely view of the mountains and just felt homely. We had one of the most relaxing holidays ever which was just what we needed. My sister said she had some of the best nights sleep as the bed was so comfortable. The only thing we wanted to mention was the windows needed cleaning and there were a few cobwebs we had to deal with as one of us has a spider phobia.

  • "Lovely old house, gave you such a hug of warmth."

My only critic is ,I apricate its a dog friendly property but a lick of paint on walls would not go a miss it was quite tired in places and the chipped plates, bowls and out of date food stuffs which if you used you were asked to replace. Otherwise nice place to stay.

  • "This was our second visit, two adults and a dog."

The house is very comfortable and well equipped. It feels like staying in someone’s much loved home, rather than just a holiday let. Somewhat disconcerted by the arrival of Google Siri since our last visit, especially as someone had set two alarms for 6.40 am and 6.45 am!

  • "We had our NYE accommodation cancelled at last minute."

The ladies at Sykes couldn’t have been more helpful finding us (6 people and 2 dogs) several alternatives. 6, Glyn Terrace turned out to be an excellent (and possibly superior) property. The cottage was spacious and large enough for us all to feel comfortable. The facilities were excellent from a lovely log burner to exceptionally comfy beds. The location of the property was also fabulous- easy walking distance to Porthmadog (and the pubs) and accessible to the Wales coastal path.
